"Huh?!"
Before he could blink the boy found himself seated at the kitchen counter. Ears twitching, he poked a bit at the knife handle before picking it up and using the business end to poke at his pile of tomatoes.
Investigation quickly finished, Demy snagged a tomato and started his work. He'd get through this quickly and show Lali he really could be helpful, yeah!

Now seated beside the boy, Spence glanced over at the young rocker. "Watch where you stick that thing," he warned, getting to work on his own produce.

Snorting at the two, Lali simply shook her head and went to work on her own tasks. Which amounted to essentially everythign that she refused to let the boys do. Humming one of their old hits softly, the female audio sett he meat on the stove to simmer and began grating cheese for the enchiladas and tacos. Now this was the kind of company she could get used to. No aruments, no sniping, just being together. It was a shame things couldn't stay this way, she thought sadly.

"Pfft, like I'd actually stab you..."
Demy snickered, smirking over at his companion.
"What fun would you be if I stabbed you man?..."
Unconsciously, Demy started to hum along with Lali as he chopped up the tomatos.

"You'd never know," Spence retorted with a devillish smirk. The waiter's ears perked slightly, catching the familiar tune, though he declined to join in as Demy had. Slicing away at the onions, his eyes began to tear. What the hell was that, he wondered, quickly wiping them away and hoping no one had noticed.

Looking up at Spence's rapid movement, Lali looked horrified and pointed a spatula at him.
"Dude! Don't you know anything, man? Onions got some chemical that makes your eyes water, so you miiight want to rinse your eyes out real fast unless you enjoy burning pain from rubbing at your eyes."
With that admonition, she turned back to the stove and resumed building up a couple pans of different enchiladas. Spence was a big boy and hopefulyl sensible enough to follow her advice. Demy though... She looked up again and mock glared at the younger male.
"And no laughign at him, sweetheart. Onion juice can be nasty stuff."

Demy gave Lali a fake look of shock.
"Me? Laugh at SPENCE? Would I do that?..."
He managed to keep a straight face for a few precious seconds before bursting out laughing.
"S-sorry man, but like..you're CRYING..it's hilarious! Though...yeah you might want to go wash that out before I'm forced to laugh at you some more..."

"Shut up!" Spence growled. "I knew that!" He was lying of course. They used frozen onions at the restaurant and he'd never worked much in the kitchen anyway. Rising from his stool, he moved to the sink and rinsed his hands and eyes, grumbling about stupid plants.

Lali wiated until he had finished, then sighed and shook her head.
"You know what, I'll chop the blasted things. You just grate cheese and sprinkle it over these pans, then put the pans in the oven and hit the timer button. I've already programmed the minutes, so you don't have to do anythign after that, okay?"
Really, she grumbled to herself as she took Spence's place at the counter, Demy is being less trouble right now. With calm efficiency, she worked through the onions, eyes streaming.

Demy's ears flattened, the youth instantly going quiet as Spence growled and walked off. Sighing Demy finished chopping up his tomatoes and awaited further instructions from Lali.
Sheesh, he had just been -joking- with Spence. Couldn't the older Audio see that? Or...did he really just hate him now?

"I can do it!" Spence attempted to recover the knife and onion from Lali. Damnit, he wasn't trying to upset her.
