I've looked for websites. They're all scary and confusing (especially on pronunciation) They also are very vague.

Yeah, I don't have sound on my computer.
And I always forget to bring my headphones to my university.
So I had to use the keys, which I couldn't understand, because sometimes it would say something like "No english equivalent, but similar to french like in the word ____" But often I can find an english word that has the same sound as the french one, so I figure I'm saying the french one wrong. XD

Proudly_Jewish But aren't you Danish? sweatdrop Why do you think I want to get the hell out of this place?
Only to see the world? I must admit that that is a part of it too, but mainly it's because I hate the place. Only good things I have here, are my family and my three freinds. That is not much to keep you in a country you hate.
Plus, I have pretty much nothing but bad memories from around here. It might work if I just moved to the other end of the country, but it wouldt let me speak the language I love more than any other; English.

Ok, I can kind of get the unofficial language business... but how is the flag a symbol of racism? confused
I like the flag, it's nicer than Canada's.
And Germany's scares me. Probably because the only other thing with red, yellow, and black stripes that I know of is a type of poisonous snake.
I figured this out today when this scary guy was on the bus. Eep. He was obviously a wwII veteran, crazy one at that. The german flag was stitched onto his jacket, and he had canadian flags taped on all over the place - even on his gloves. Hehe, the funniest taped on bit was on his back. He cut up a Cheerios box so that it said "CHEERS" XD

@Mivi - the exact same thing is going on in France these days. Nobody is allowed to be outrightly patriotic, or wave the French flag in fear of being deemed racist to Arabs cry
What will become of my precious France? gonk crying

Yeah, I know about the bomb threats. They threatened Norway, too, right? That sucks, they're only making it worse. Instead I think they should just leave this behind, ask JP not to do this again and be happy. Of course, I think JP should think a little next time, too. Freedom of speech, of course, but this was lack of respect. These pictures had Mohammed in them wearing a bomb in his headdress! I would really feel insulted if I were I muslim. Jyllandsposten insulted a part of Denmark! There are muslims living there, aight?
Anyway, I hope this will be over soon.

They threatened Norway too, because they saw the fun in the drawings too and, if I remember correctly, printed them too.
Now, JP have appologised, the Minister has appologised, BUT - and this is a big but - because we refuse to get rid of the freedom of speach, they keep continueing.
I'm getting so sick of it...
And, yeah, there's plenty of muslims in DK

Some professor in eastern Canada posted the drawings on his door.
He was told to take them down.
He went on the news and was all "THAT'S NOT FAIR crying "
He took them down.
The end.

HellsBitch- the culture discussion, I think. All of the other sub-forums are directly language-related, if I recall correctly.
And I agree that people ought to "adapt" when they move another country. Not convert to the predominant religion of that country (Christianity in European countries), but just adapt to the country's ways in general. Want to eat the food of your old country/speak your language? Do it at home, with your family. But the moment you step outside the door, you are French/Swedish/Danish/etc, not Turkish/Arab/etc.
