Chane laughed, "I'll clean it out before I start putting food in there. Besides, brains don't smell like much of anything. It's the formaldehyde that'll make you want to retch. But," he smiled and pulled a small pamphlet out of a drawer, "that's a terrible topic right before dinner. Here's the menu, what sort of things do you like?"

"Still. Every time I eat something out of your fridge, I'm gonna think about the cat brain that sat in there." Grinning, she took the menu, peering at it. "Well, I've never had Ethiopian before. What do you suggest?"

"I can just order a few of my favourites if you don't care much. Does lamb bother you?" Chane took a CD out of the player before turning the TV back on. This time it just showed a silent blue display.

"Nope." Shaking her head, she watched him as he moved around.

He nudged a CD binder toward her, and picked up the phone. He seemed fairly comfortable moving about, despite lacking both one of his eyes and one of his arms. He placed his orders over the phone without asking any further food questions.

Turning her attention to the DVDs, she flipped through the folder. "Hm. Something funny, something scary, or something serious?"

Chane covered the mouthpiece for a moment. "If you want something really serious there's operation videos at the back!" He chuckled as he went back to ordering, "Sorry about that. And I'd like..."

Her eyes widened for a moment. "Chane, you're an odd one." She flipped to the back anyway and pulled out a random operation disk, sticking it on the DVD player and pressing play.

Chane noticed her putting the dvd in but didn't look at the TV until after he'd hung up the phone. He coughed, "Are you sure you want to watch this? I was joking. This are old DVDs from when I was taking courses. For like, you know, school..."

She shrugged and curled her legs underneath her, watching the TV, head tilted. "So this is the sort of stuff you do?"

"Nono, I can't do surgery," he waved a hand in front of his scarred right eye. "I have no depth perception. General practitioners are like, well family doctors. I know a little bit about everything, but for anything serious I'd refer you to a specialist."

"Ah, right. Just a part of training?" She winced as the person was cut into, but otherwise seemed fine. "Is this what your father does then? Since he seems to have access to brains?"

"Father..." Chane went silent for a moment. "Father is... he runs a small company that develops new medicines and treatments. He's most adept with programs and machines, though, and prefers to focus in that field." Chane sat down on a near by pillow.

She nodded, her eyes still on the screen. Perhaps it wasn't the most pleasant thing to be watching before dinner, but it was interesting nevertheless.

Chane thanked his luck for Sasha not making the immediate mental leap between Cyn's profession and his own artificial limb. He took the opportunity to try and change the subject, "He's under for that operation, but did you know they do brain surgery while you're awake?"
