Another Old Family. February 22nd, 2010 ~RP took place in a Word Processor~ **Solo RP** “If walls could talk, what would they say?” Nell twirled and spun from one chaos filled room to the next, just behind her foster mother.Lifting her camera Trivii snapped a picture while stringing words together, glancing towards the darkness beyond the window. She spoke out loud to the digital recorder in the breast pocket of her denim jacket. She combined intuition with research. “The Jenness Homestead, so long a landmark for our community, tells a story of some of Gaia’s dirtiest secrets. One of our oldest and most respected families, before the Gambino’s and Von Helson’s rose to power; there was Master Frances Jenness…. But nobody talks about the Jenness family anymore. While still around they began to fade into the background after in a power hungry rage Frances slaughtered his family. But as with all great legends there is more to them than what outsiders can share.” The marble halls and shadows had her on edge, keeping her tail from sweeping the cold floor the cat girl wrapped in around her waist and followed after Carnelian’s curious shimmer. This place tugged at memories better left forgot. Bobbing down to look under a settee, for a moment the cabochon slipped out of sight. The Master has found you.Frozen for a moment Trivii knew what those walls would have said about her… It had been almost half a year since the note had been delivered, she shivered and looked after Nell. Maybe they should disappear for a little while. Find a magic user to help hide them both. Pushing on the cat girl continued to take her notes and talk to herself, until she toured the entire house.

A Fools Day April 1st, 2010 ~RP took place in a Word Processor~ **Solo RP** It was chaos.
The radio was on, the picture box was on in both rooms and everything was playing something different. But Trivii was glued to it, like someone had stolen the crown jewels!
Maybe someone had?
But no....Sinking into her chair the cat girl could not believe what was going on, street signs being switched around she got, fruit hanging from trees that couldn't bare fruit she got; they were jokes. It was April First and went with the territory. But the landmark Durem Clock-tower... Going Digital, was heart braking. No one would commit such a cruel joke. Curious she swung around her foster-mother and dipped under the Queen Anne wing-back chair to observe this strange, noisy ritual.
The pure idiocy of the moment was all she could gather.Answering the phone Trivii glanced around for Nell and furrowed her brow when she didn't see her. "Hello?" Leaning forward she scribbled on a piece of paper a time and channel. "Thanks George, yeah I know... Mmmhmm, How like Gambino to destroy a landmark. I wonder about retaliation.. Ah? No I'm not in that business anymore... Hmm? Yeah I'll talk to you later." Powering off the radio and two of the televisions she dropped the controller on the coffee table and moved sat down. Nell came up to eye level on Trivii and shadowy tendrils and curiosity.Trivii leaned forward as the camera zoomed in on the broad shouldered blond moving out to stand at the Podium. "Thank you all for coming to the unveiling of the new Durem Clock-Tower." Gesturing behind himself the smug grin formed. "Many of you questioned my decision to make this change, but rest assured this change will make a new landmark, a landmark for the next hundred years powered by the latest technologies!"
The man on the scaffolding tugged the rope and the canvas slip out of place revealing a brightly lit digital sign suspended on the clock tower.
"APRIL FOOLS" With a bellowing trademark laugh he retreated from the podium.Collapsing back in her chair Trivii laughed in relief. Nell glimmered and zoomed up to the television, and turned to look back at her foster mother.
Not. getting. IT. At. ALL.

April 20th, 2010 Dear Diary,
April Rain Song
Let the rain kiss you Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops Let the rain sing you a lullaby The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk The rain makes running pools in the gutter The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night And I love the rain.

Jumping at Shadows. May 9th, 2010 ~RP took place in a Word Processor~ **Solo RP** It had been almost a year since the mysterious note had been left with her, and since; she had read Aricin’s words countless times. Waiting for the other show to drop, waiting for the Hunters and Catchers, waiting for her Mast- Lord Clarath… And she was still here, in her little farmhouse, on the refugee world of Gaia. If he knew where she was, why hadn’t he come for her? Oh he would use her and make an example. She would likely see days of torture, branding before they finally did away with her. Lord Clarath’s affection did not run deeper than his pride. A still small voice whispered in the back of her mind, Why are you waiting? Run! You idiot…! And still she waited until the voice was no longer a whisper, now more voices were joining in the havoc of her thoughts, It’s time to fight! And yet more clamoring in the solitude of her own mind, she smiled over at Nell. “This is our home isn’t it little one? And no-one is going to force us to leave.” Returning to washing her breakfast dishes her eyes landed on the note. AricinQuote: The Master has found you, I have managed to give him a false lead, but he is on your tail. I contacted Lady Caimrie, according to her if you can contact a magic user, you could put him off your trail, buy some time. No. She didn’t want to buy time. She was done running. Calmly finishing up the dishes, the cat girl gathered herself together, collected Nell and went upstairs to change. She found what she was looking for tucked into a basket at he back of her wardrobe. The grey scarf, same as her ears, the gloves and oversized tunic. Nell hovered, feeling the change in her foster-mother… She wasn’t dressing for a meeting with her editor. This felt entirely like she was donning war paint.
Shimmering excitedly the little wisp hung back. There are places that your average, everyday, good person just did not know about. The not so average knew that they existed but avoided discussing them, and going there… Triveni Villitana ap Tamesis Viscarin: went there. Carefully composing herself Trivii knotted the deep grey silk scarf around her head allowing the back to fold over her ears and arranged it to obscure the feline feature. This leather gloves were then pulled on over long fingered hands to cover the retractable claws at the end of each digit. You never knew what could lead to a dangerous fascination with that kind of person… Winding her tail up and around her slim waist she buttoned the extra long tunic into place and knotted a belt to finish hiding the extra appendage. It was amusing somehow, she learned of this kind of place, that kind of person running errands for her Master, which she had done without a glimmer of fear. But now, on her own. She was terrified… So much so that she was trembling. Glancing at the mirror on the inside of her wardrobe door, Trivii knew that the best trick to going unnoticed was to obscure without hiding, but to ravel willingly back into the groups her Master had frequented… all but stilled her heart. Gathering Nell into he basket and closing the lid. Trivii headed out, into the back allies and hidden culture of Durem. ***** Finding the right shop took her almost an hour she hesitated briefly when the shop keeper flashed her a smile full of fang. “Welcome, can I help you?” Trivii strolled forward, “I think you can… I need a Mage, a real one not some purveyor of party tricks.” “That sort usually doesn’t like to be disturbed miss….?” “Viscarin. Triveni Viscarin.” Producing a simple card, not her usual business card, she slid it across the counter towards him. “Just let them know that I pay well.” Taking the card off the counter the fanged shop keeper eyed it and her. “Anything in it for me?” Turning to sashay back out the door Trivii glanced over her shoulder and purred. “Only if you send someone I can actually use.” And without another word she was out the door, holding her breath she didn’t relax until she reached the actual shopping district. Numb. She couldn’t believe she had done it.

May 29th, 2010 Dear Diary,
"Lost In You"
I always knew that you'd Come back to get me And you always knew that It wouldn't be easy To go back to the start To see where it all began Or end up at the bottom To watch how it all ends You tried to lie and say I was everything I remember when I said I'm nothing without you
Somehow I found A way to get lost in you Let me inside Let me get close to you Change your mind I'll get lost If you want me to Somehow I found A way to get lost in you
You always thought that I left myself open But you didn't know I was already broken I told myself that It wouldn't be so bad Pulling away you took Everything that I had You tried to lie and Say I was everything I remember when I said I'm nothing without you
Somehow I found A way to get lost in you Let me inside Let me get close to you Change your mind I'll get lost If you want me to Somehow I found A way to get lost in you
The pain of it all The rise and the fall I see it all in you Now everyday I find myself sayin' I want to get lost in you I'm nothing without you
Somehow I found A way to get lost in you Let me inside Let me get close to you Change your mind I'll get lost If you want me to but Somehow I found (somehow I found) A way to get lost in you (a way to get lost in you)

Still no Reply... June 17th, 2010 ~RP took place in a Word Processor~ **Solo RP** Trivii just closed the door after coming in from yet another interview. A year since Aricin had written, and better than a month since she had let circulate among Gaia's "others" and she had still only met with a two likely suspects, and a half dozen charlatans. Sighing she unwound her tail and tossed off the scarf. Glaring at nothing in particular, lightning crackled in the air around her. Nell approached her foster mother and snuggled into the negative space at her neck.Relaxing, Trivii exhaled and collapsed on the couch. The anxiety of the situation danced along the bond she shared with Trivii, and it made the wisp angry, so angry that she unfurled her shadows and cloaked the entire couch, hoping that her foster mother would be able to rest well. But through the darkness should could see the woman's eyes, as she whispered to herself.

July 6th, 2010 Dear Diary,
Note to self.... Fireworks make me sneeze.
I finally took the time to hunt down an apothecary who could give me some tea to help with everything that's running through my head. The pressing weight of it all isn't healthy for Nell. And I have come to a point where I don't like myself.
I'm not going to put up with that. I don't do self pity... not if I can catch myself.
If I find a Mage who can put protections on my home, then wonderful. If not I'm still going to live my life and focus on the curious bond with Nell.

After Midnight... July 25th, 2010 ~RP took place in a Word Processor~ **Solo RP** You would think in the crystal form she would be immune to the sleeplessness that came in the dark heat of late summer. But as Trivii prowled so did she.
It was interesting seeing the darkened world through a slightly orange haze.
There was a shimmer, a sparkle.... and a pretty tinkling noise. Nell followed it, dodging around the edge of the room where Trivii sat working at her computer, to the porch off the kitchen, where the moon lit up the summer night.
The gentle sound was louder now, and she extended her little tendrils to taste the world around her."No you don't come on little one back in the house." A clawed hand caught her up and pulled her back into the kitchen through an open window.

August 13th, 2010 Dear Diary,
An old summer favorite, the Marilyn Monroe movie 'Some like it Hot' title song always starts to tickle at my mind.
I got a fever An inflammation That's what I got You turn the heat on me Some like it hot
Look what you started A conflagration Baby, that's what Don't let the flame go out Some like it hot
Oh baby, I'm from that old school I'll play it real cool But when you kissed me I lit up like a four alarm fire
Call out the engine Ring up the station I'm on the spot Love burns you up the most Like it or not But baby, I like it hot

Why?!?!?!?! October 30th, 2010 ~RP took place in the Subplots Sub-Forum~ **Event RP** Trivii` The cat girl stared at the outside of the building, gingerbread, old faded silver slats of wood, bicycle propped against the porch railing, very monotone. Except the startling and vivid red of the front door, the place looked quiet. It was Halloween get into the spirit of the season! Humans seemed to like the thrill of the unknown, enjoy the tingle that chased down their spine when presented with the creepy unknown. Non-humans like herself however did not tend to terrify themselves in the spirit of the season. Tossing a sidelong glance at the glowing orange stone that hovered in her peripheral Trivii coiled her long silver tail about her waist, checked her shoe-laces, zipped her sweater and tied the bandanna over her hair and neko ears. There was no telling what type of gross things would be on the other side of the door. Feeling for all the world like Rambo getting ready for war, she tugged her sleeves low over her arms, and breathed. Scary was not on her good list. Cupping a hand she herded the wisp into the hood of her sweatshirt and climbed the steps, the first one cracked beneath her heal, but the rest held as she stepped up onto the porch and eased her way to the door. The handle seamed to turn on its own and the door creaked loudly as it opened an inch, beckoning them forward. Bracing herself she pushed fully into the room and couldn’t help her smile. Simple parlor tricks, dimmed lights a player piano, shadows… Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. Clicking the door closed, the first tremor of fear reached her as the rooms temperature dropped, in spite of her sweater and warm autumn clothes, she could see her breath and the bite of chill caused a quick ache in her joints. Instinct had her trying to stay close to a wall, but the old shimmering, silk wallpaper looked like it had things moving under its surface, like insects burrowing. The low light was starting to be creepy, and the player piano changed its tune. There were voices starting low, but her ears twitched and she could hear them mumbling, almost able to make out the words… Something swooshed by behind her and turning she saw a shadow pass through and into the wall she had just walked passed… Trivii` Must be just a trick of the light. The cold air bit at her lungs as she realized she was already gulping in breath trying to calm her heart down. Pushing her hands deep into her pockets Trivii continued to look over the room, walking slower than she might otherwise. She forced her eyes away from the creepy wallpaper, and looked down at the floor, old packed down shag carpet, must have been green at some point. A porcelain baby doll propped against the side of a book case, and old newspapers with grotesque headlines on almost every surface. Reluctantly pulling a hand from her pocket she picked up one newspaper and forced herself to peruse the page. She found what she needed to remind her the place was just a haunted house. Private physician looking for human test subject. Must be healthy and in good shape, minors need not apply. Wages, room and board provide. For more information please call, Dr. Henry Jeckyll.Setting the paper down she toed the doll, only to have her heart once again in her throat to see that the dolls eyes had been carved out and human eyes were in the sockets, she reeled and took more than a few rapid steps backward. Trivii` Tripping over an unseen set of stairs, Trivii sat down, hard. And looked up them. It looked like more than the average number of stairs, in fact it didn’t look like there was a landing, they went straight into the wall. Curious. Righting herself slowly, she climbed the first few steps, then the smell hit her. Like meat left out too long, death and decay had a sickeningly sweet flavor to it. Rapping one arm around herself and cupping a hand over her too sensitive nose, the cat girl continued up the steps. There was no doubt about it this place was definitely larger on the inside. Reaching the top step she examined the wall. It looked to be solid, like the rest of the house, no seams or hinges to indicate a secret door or passage. Hesitating only briefly she reached out to touch the wall, only to feel something seize her and like the shadow downstairs or Alice through the looking glass she was pulled in. azuredreams It was an oddly warm, pale hand that pulled her through and then out the other side. 'Ah, someone I have not truly met.' With a bemused glint in his eyes, ignoring the fact that he did look like a ghost with the way he was holding his form. 'Glad to see you made our little event, here's your first piece of candy ...'Dropping the blue candy into her hand after letting it go, he continued on, '... and you need to get two more from Reyna and Mystic - then you can get yourself something special from the shop and, perhaps, get out of here.'Or try again for more.' And with that he disappeared, an unknown wind picking up and carrying a scream on it. Trivii` A little startled by the ghost's appearance she stared into her hand at the piece of candy.. A fiend? Mystic was in on this. She smiled and pushed the candy deep into the pocket of her cargo-pants. She shivered in the odd silence that followed the departing scream, and glanced around the darkened corridor, the walls had a fine sheen of frost on them and the space was compact. She turned and tried to retreat through the wall only to find it solid. She must have just entered the actual haunted portion of the house. Giving her hood a quick pat down she reassured herself that 'Nell was still safe and with her. Sinking to sit on the floor she had one thought... 'How do I get out?' when the wall started moving behind her, closing in and pushing her along, further and further into the unknown... She scrambled to her feet and pressed against the wall that was closing behind her, but it was like... well arguing with a wall, she was forced to turn and face the darkness of the crushing walls with no flashlight or candle to guide her, she walked, trying to out distance the wall and give herself time to think... Trivii` Not only was the wall pushing her forward, Trivii let out a startled cry with the realization that the floor was moving, she tried to move faster, and fell to her knees... The sound was terrible the smell of death was there again, the cold and fear had her teeth chattering. Unable to gain purchase so she could stand she turned and looked at the wall, just as it was catching up with her. The cat girl could feel her heart seizing in her chest as it opened its eyes. "Walls do not have eyes." She stated resolutely. Yet this wall did, large yellow eyes with narrow black slit pupils. The wall was morphing before her eyes, and there was a hiss of sound ominously from the wall she could no longer out run. It flattened elongated and the shimmer of frost gained definition over scales as it opened it mouth to reveal saber like fangs and a forked tongue. She couldn't move, and then liquid quick it struck and the darkness closed her in with that awful smell...... When she opened her eyes she was staring once again at the brightly colored door... no longer red, but electric blue? Shivering she gritted her teeth and glared at the door... This house was making fun of her. Once again doing a double check making certain she had all her limbs, her shoes were tied, bandanna in place, and of course 'Nell. Trivii pushed back into the house... Mystic 'Well, hello there. Long time no see,' Mystic said as he snuck up behind the cat girl and pressed his cheek to hers. He let go of her and drifted away with a bemused look upon your face. 'Glad you made it,' he told her in earnest. He reached out and handed her another piece of candy, eyes glittering with mischief. 'I assume Hawk told you the rules? One more piece of candy to go and you're free. You just have to find my bonded, Reyna.'He chuckled quietly and disappeared from view. 'Good luck~!' Trivii` Trivii was startled and delighted, turning she was about to ask Mystic what the story was with the house, but he was already gone. Clutching at the purple candy as though it were her lifeline, she once again placed the candy in her pants pocket. Glancing around the entry of the house again the first thing she noticed was that all the Newspapers were gone seemingly into thin air, and the doll was sitting at the player piano, no longer sprawled on the floor. Determined the cat-girl decided she would be able to talk to Mystic when she got to the shop to turn in her candies. Glancing around she opted against climbing the stairs instead pushing through a set of saloon style swinging doors into the kitchen. Noticing that unlike the other rooms this one was unearthly hot with something simmering on the stove and creating once again a terrible stench. Unzipping her sweater Trivii glanced around looking for some clue to this rooms horrors, what looked like severed fingers lay on the butcher block island, a meat cleaver sticking out of the torn linoleum floor. She turned full circle dodging the island and wishing that she hadn't had dinner before coming out. She walked over to the stove and flipped the burner off... Trivii` What happened next even the best wrters of the horror genre would never have dreamt up. The stew pot bubbled, jumped and overflowed a mess of intestines, bones and bile; like the sluce gates of the river styx. Stephen King, Anne Rice... Eat your hearts out. Reeling back Trivii reached for.. well anything and came up with a rolling pin which thrown at the mess was just absorbed, as not just a pool of cannibal slop it folded taking on a human like form and licking its lips... the voice was one Trivii had once known well. A rich baritone. "Come now lovely... Surely I can convince you...? Stay for dinner. I insist." The cat girl, trained not to fight back screamed, and with a tumble and fog for thoughts she found herself back on the steps. Shivering it was all she could do to not be ill. The door had changed again, this time it was the color or a crayola Lazer Lemon Yellow crayon. Sitting for a moment she fished out the candies and stared at them... The Blue Ghost gave her one and the wall became a snake and attacked... Mystic gave her one and the Kitchen..... Squeezing her eyes shut she swallowed and fought for control. Was the candy some kind of bait? Quickly checking, even 'Nells indomitable presence was looking daunted. Tucking the Candy away, and Nell. She Pushed back into the house to find that it had changed once again... Five different kinds of marble and lit by candles, the smell was roses and patchouli. Blinking Trivii was at a complete loss, everything had changed, to the point of being harmless. Relaxing She ventured into the room again, looking at the walls and floor, some sort of clue. It was starting to scare her.. This wasn't just parlor tricks.. Trivii` The room looked almost harmless, and Trivii was almost ready to admit defeat. The house was definitely playing mind games with her. The faintest cords of music drifted down the hall, and laughter it was... nice? Following the music down the hall, there was a faint breeze the rustled in lace curtains, shadowy tendrils swirled out of her hood, showing that 'Nell to was curious. Moving deeper into the house seemed to bring them no nearer to the party, but that sense of comfort became stronger, she was almost tempted to lay down and rest... Reyna Crelos "Well hello there, sweetness," Reyna murmured from just behind Trivii with a broad smirk upon her face. "I don't think we've met," she told her, "Or have we?" She seemed strangely familiar, but a small voice in the back of her head insisted that they knew one another. She chalked it up to Mystic having met her. That must have been where that sense of familiarity came from. She handed the girl a piece of candy and their surroundings seemed to melt away. They were now only in an old, rickety, one-room house. "Huh. Last piece, I assume?" she guess with a grin. She turned and pointed to the two doors. "Left takes you into someone else's version of the house, right takes you out of this joint." Without waiting for her to respond the demoness took off with a broad smirk as she darted to the left and promptly stepped through the door without hesitation.

Another Try... February 11th, 2011 ~RP took place in a Word Processor~ **Solo RP** Pinning the last rhinestone flower in her hair, Trivii studied her glittering reflection. She and Aiden had managed several casual dates, but a pickup at work had had them both falling out of touch with each other, and mutually they had agreed that the crush of trying to get a private moment on Valentines day was unrealistic. She glanced to the left where Nell hovered beside the mirror, odd creature wouldn't get in front of the thing. The energy rippling down the bond was agitated. Trivii sighed, in the almost year since her last date with Aiden, Nell still didn't like him and the cheerful wisp had acted out in some truly awful ways when the man had come around. It was a wonder why he persevered. As Trivii reached for the small container of roll on perfume on the vanity, the small wisp pushed her shadowy tendrils, normally so curious and excited, to block the woman's hand.Feline ears flattened. "Enough Carnelian. I'm dating him, not you. I don't have so many options that I can just toss aside the only guy who is willing to put up with the drama in this house." Snatching up the perfume she looked in the mirror forcing the angry lines off her face, she rolled the perfume along the hollow of her throat, the back of her neck and then both wrists, before standing and tucking the perfume in her small evening clutch and giving Nell a pointed look. *****
