Alayah seemed to momentarily vanish, after looking up at the demon inside Clyth with horrified eyes. She reappeared about 20 meters away and behind him. "It didn't work..." she said to herself, aghast. She held out her hand again, fingers touching her thumb, and a spheric mass of radiant teal light began to form. It grew until it was about the size of a basketball. Then, Alayah straightened her fingers out toward the demon and the form went flying toward the demon...

Clyth dodged the ball and it whizzed past him, he started walking towards Ayalah, then he felt a sharp blow to the back. The spell was meant to track him! Clyth fell to his knees, blood dripped from his mouth... He looked up at Ayalah, and then Clyth's true eyes stared blankly at Ayalah. There was a moment of silence before he hit the ground...

"No... The demon didn't consume him... Clyth! No!" She ran toward Clyth as his normal eyes looked at her. "No..." she said to herself, looking in horror at what she had done to a human. Alayah began to scream at the air. "You demon! You don't know what you've done! These humans are harmless! And you come in and disrupt their contented lifestyle!" A voice arose from the nothingness. It was a treacherous, deceptive voice. "You know that you were the cause of this..." Whatever the voice was, it seemed to be smirking, thinking I've won this round...

"Ayalah... kill me now..." Clyth said. "I can feel it, hes going to come back... just forget, you can forget that we ever met... Just forget..."

Alayah looked at him desperately. "No! I can't kill you!" she said, as tears were almost in her eyes. Then an idea occurred to her: If she was indeed an Imariquan, wouldn't she be able to find the Passage as well? To the Center of the Earth? "Clyth... I don't know if this will work... Actually, I don't even know where it is, but we have to run..." she decided it was best to follow her instincts. She couldn't remember anything, but she was still an Imariquan... "Let's go!" she said. She grabbed Clyth off the ground and ran off with him in the direction they came from.

"Wait, hold up!" Clyth said and he turned around, the demon was dashing for Ayalah! Clyth blocked the attack with crossed arms. "Kamoon, Back down!" Clyth took a fighting stance, the demon stepped back and responded in his strange language, sounding obedient, he did not want to harm his masters puppet... "Leave her out of this, she was only in self defense." Clyth was still guarding Ayalah, until the demon flew off and he was sure he would not return... "Ok, lets go..."

That was strange... she thought the demon responded to Clyth's orders... could it be that he's not all that he appears to be...? She decided to stop asking herself questions and try to find the Passage. She ran. She didn't exactly know where to, but she ran where her legs directed her. Then it occurred to her that Clyth may be in no condition to run. "Are you gonna be alright?" she asked, looking back.

"Kay.." Alayah said softly. She continued to run, barely even noticing that she was leaving the town. She didn't take much note of her surroundings, just headed onward. they had left the city, and were now on the outskirts, where city mixed with country for a while, and eventually, trees were mixed in. The trees thickened, until they appeared to be in a forest. Pine trees, oaks, and lots of other trees were all that was in sight now. She continued to run, but her running got slower... Then she started to walk...

"Something the matter?" Clark asked slowing down, he didn't feel tired at all for some reason.

Alayah continued to walk, faster now, and deeper into the woods. "I don't exactly know where to go..." she said softly,

"Man... never been out of the city for as long as i can remember." Clyth said leaning against a tree trunk. "Well, try and figure it out soon, he's gonna come back eventually..."

"Yes..." said Alayah quietly. She was walking now, in a direction. It was strange; before, she had a strong sense of where to go, then suddenly, it vanished. Before she was done with one train of thought, she switched directions. She walked a little further, then lost her sense of where she was going completely. Which only ment one thing to her; "We're close..."

Clyth perked up, with a confused face. "How do ya figure?" Clyth looked around, nothing but trees and plants...

"I don't exactly know.. but I can feel it somewhat..." she said halfheartedly. She was still concentrating on where the actual Passage was. She heard the chirping of birds and scurrying of woodland animals-- and water! There was a clear, distinct sound of water flowing... maybe even a waterfall. Something told her to follow that sound. "The water..." she said softly, almost to herself. She ran suddenly in the direction the water was flowing from.
