"Really?" Donovan murmured, "I thought you were with me when I went to get Arthael and Halmir for that one particular nasty case of slavers..."

He kept walking until he came to the stairs, since Celeborn was on the second floor with Elros.

"I mean for angels," Lin replied, "They can fly right? So I bet they can fly up really high."

And to her it would only make sense to go higher than some mountains rather than to run into them.

"A school, correct?" Haradhel smiled. "I guess I still find the idea of it a little strange. I suppose it's no different from training for the military, though, most people begin their training when they're quite young, and of course they go to the military academy for that, they don't learn that at home."

If she looked at it that way, she supposed she could understand it. At least the method, if not the reason.


Arwen's eyes lit up brightly with excitement. "Well we're going to have to fix that!" she exclaimed. "They have such pretty names, and most of them have nice stories, too! Some of them have sad stories, but most of them are happy."

She jumped off the bench and reached for Miyu's hand. "Come with me," she grinned. "I want to show you something!"

Kara nodded, though she had to giggle at Aliya's comment, "So I've heard... I wish I could have been there, I heard that it had been an interesting time for you, Adonai and Cindy."

It would be nice if Cindy came more too, she spent time only among family and herself. She had no one outside of the family to interact with, which was such a pity.


She couldn't help but be curious, and she had spent enough time around Arwen (granted her personality had changed within the last three visits) that she could be comfortable with the other girl. Sliding off of the chair she took Arwen's hand.

"What is it?"

Celebor chuckled deeply. "Aye ... not a lot was clicking in just then," he agreed. "I don't really remember her either, though ... did she go with you on the hunt? I remember some of the men who were here ... some of them."

Not a whole lot of them.

"So which room is his, anyways?" he asked, looking at the various doors that lined both sides of the corridor.

"Well," Aliya grinned sheepishly, "we had known we were going to see something amazing - you still haven't been here on a night when those flowers have bloomed, you would love it - we take the kids to see it every year but they still think it's the most amazing thing ever - and yet ... Cindy's sudden growth was ... even more amazing, though very surprising. I had never heard of anything like that before, though I suppose we've seen it happen here a few times already."

She laughed, remembering Kaito and Celebor.


Adanedhel pouted. "I can't," he complained. "They always stay up a lot later than I'm allowed to, Mama puts me to bed at the same time every night and they always go to bed later than that."

He paused, and a mischievous grin spread over his face. "Maybe I can sneak out sometime!" he giggled impishly. "That would be fun!"

"Yes..." Donovan murmured as he pointed to one door he knew was Celeborn's before making his way over, "It was a particularly troublesome group of slavers, so she, Halmir, Celeborn, Elros and your grandmother came. Granted we grabbed your grandmother on her way out so I don't know if she's seen you as you are yet or not."

Now that he thought about it, did Serenity know about Kaito yet? Certainly not Shiro though.... He filed those thoughts away for later as he knocked on Celeborn's door.


Lin liked adventures as much as the next person, but even she knew there were limits. It's what happened when you had Donovan for a father looking over your shoulder all the time.

"Is that a good idea?"

Haradhel laughed softly.

"Well, she's not the only one," she grinned, sitting back in her chair.


Arwen stopped at the page she wanted and held it out to show Miyu. "This," she grinned. "Here, look."

On the left side of the page was a picture of the night sky, focusing on a particular constellation, and on the right was a long explanation, written, of course, in elvish.

"This one, this is Elwing," she explained to Miyu. "Have you seen it in the sky before?"

"Has he been quite busy?" Kara asked.

She never did get to see Adonai overly that much but she just assumed the man was busy doing whatever it was he was doing. Which to be honest she never knew what he did.

Miyu studied the picture for a moment, she thought she had seen it a few times, "I think so...."

Though it had been a while since she looked up to the sky.
