on my first game, i gave them 'different' names...i don't remember them though, cuz i made them up on the spot...this time through, i just kept their regular names cuz i didn't feel like thinking. sweatdrop biggrin

i usually keep their name except for the main male character who i change to Rocky couse i think the name i cool for some reason. and i view myself as the main character.

Well, the first time my older brother played, he named them after our family:
Cloud: (my brother's name)
Tifa: (my name)
Aeris: (my sister's name)
Barret: (my dad's name)
Red XIII: (my oldest brother's name)
After getting Red XIII, though, he just quit and started over.
As for me, at first, I named Cloud: Shade, which I thought was gay after a bit because my brother kept on laughing at me, so then I played the game once with default, then I decided to get creative again, though only with a few names.
Barret: Gray
Red XIII: Fenrir
Cait Sith: King Cat (anyone who's done their research would know the reason behind this 4laugh )

When I was playing the game a second time I named Cloud my name then all the other characters as differant friends of mine, twas quite fun but then I had to change who was who cos my friends changed a bit

I managed to name all of my characters after different X-Men from a fanfic of mine, currently I'm naming them all after Yu-Gi-Oh characters, except Tifa who always get my name. It's great fun. I think I named Vincent, Yami no Yugi, but I forget if there were spaces or not. The main character ended up called Seto and it managed to pretty much fit.

I always have a crazy story/anime/manga/game bubbling up in my head that I'd like to release, but instead I just named them after the characters that I've created... I have about 10 different idea's that I want to make, but can't ={

I usually leave the original names. sweatdrop I change Red XIII to Nanaki, too.
Even though I get to Cosmo Canyon and think ".. Cloud can't possibly be that stupid, can he?"

Well my best buddy was playing the game and here's what he ended up naming them:

Barrit: Rabbit
Aries: Twolips
Tifa: (cant remember)
Yuffie: Tossup
Cid: Captin
Nanaki: Wild Thang
Cait Syth: Numbers
Vincent: Big D

I never did...just to keep with the storyline.
But...
on my brother's file, he accidentally added a letter to Tifa's name, so she is "Tifao", and he accidentally did the same thing to Yuffie, so she is "Yuffiet".
And as far as the interesting dialouge thing goes, me and my brother got bored one night and started a new file, naming Cloud "sexy" (VERY interesting dialouge)...and we named Barret "Stephanie"...and we're palnning to name Cid "Brittany", Vincent "Ashley", and I have no idea what we're going to name the girls. Also, my brother started a file once (and didn't get very far with it) and started naming the characters after the Napoleon Dynamite characters. XD
