"True, but he's an ancient. Why would he wait till NOW?" She flicked the glass and it rippled into a new image. "We must seek the council now." she said in a hushed tone, almost a whisper. She traced the outsides until she slowly stuck her finger inside like it was a tunnel underwater. "It's time to seek the council." She held out her hand. "I wouldn't suggest traveling inside alone the first time." she tapped her temple "personal experience."

Amaya made a single nod and grabbed Illusion's hand. They slipped into the liquid glass, making their way through it to go to the council.

The room was black with shades of blue. The figures literally seemed to swim around them in their sight. They sort of just floated around, there was no up or down. Not even a shadow. But there were many men in cloaks with hoods over their eyes. The council on the realm. "We bring bad news." Illusion stated. Not that they'd need all the details. By now they may have felt the disturbance in the castle and town.

Violet's eyes fluttered as she woke. What happened... She was staring at the cold unforgiving floor of the castle. Why am i on the floor....? Just as the question entered her mind she remembered she had fainted and fell. She sighted and slowly started to get up but noticed that there was a man kneeling right beside her. Perfect... witnesses... She slumped back on to the floor in frustration putting her hand over her face. She was begining to thing that this castle was cursed and wanted her to never escape its doom.

Colm made a frown, he didn't want to be right, but this was supposed to happen. His mother was dead. He had been listening to Illusion through the shadows and still was. "I can't believe she tried to pin this on me." he said in a whisper. The vampire's power was strong, after all he was an ancient. He smirked though, remembering this moment all those millenia ago. His first vision was of this time, the first time he had tapped into his dark magic. Colm always knew this was going to happen, so he accepted it. But now wasn't the time, he had work to do. The ancient closed his eyes and focused on the shadows, more precisely around illusion and where she was. he felt himself get immersed and when he opened his eyes he could see as if he was in the room, cloaked by shadows. Colm had astral projected before but this place made it seem more real. Every detail was exactly how it should have been, minus the part of him not being able to be seen. He sat and waited to here what the council had to say.

One of the taller ones came forward and let out a "We know. But we know not why this is small one."
Illusion kept her eyes locked onto the place where his eyes should be. "Queen Ashe is missing or assassinated. I found her ashes in her room with her majesties royal crown in a melted tangle. However, when I tried to bring them to the others they were gone."
A murmer went up around the shadows and the voices of the ancients started to rise. "Who shall take the throne next?" "Who did this!" "Are they insane?!"
She tried to keep her voice even. "We are investigating the incident now. At the moment it looks like my alliance 'fire' may have done it. But the only proof is the ashes. Plus they were next in line. There is no hard proof." She had to fight to keep from yelling at them to be quiet and just listen. "I've come to request the corination of Colm. Next in line, prince of fire!"

Colm nodded, exactly how he saw it. Now was the tough part, coronation and becoming king. He was a born leader but didn't like to mess with other people's problems. It will be okay. He kept telling himself. Colm looked at Illusion, she should be Queen, she had the strength and she had the facts, so why did fate choose him? HE shook that thought out of his mind and went back to listening.

Amaya wasn't sure that any of the possible heirs could handle the job since not of them wanted it. None of them wanted to be leaders, yet two of them can stand up for themselves and at least act like leaders. She started to wonder about the fourth heir. She had never met him, so she didn't even know if he would qualify for the position. She just hoped that Illusion knew what she was doing.

Another wave of noise went up among the council. It all sounded like mind noise to Illusion, she wasn't sure what to think of them. But after a few minutes they all appeared to reach a commen answer. One of the tallest's voices rung out in the pitch. "He shall be coronated. But if there is any evidence of the fire kingdom's involvement then they will lose the crown."
With that their surrondings shuddered and all but the council was thrown back into Illusion's room, in the middle of the night.

Amaya turned to look at Illusion. "We don't have much of a choice but put him in charge, now do we?" Let's just hope he won't do anything so incredibly stupid...

Luke stretched broadly, then stood and began pacing around the chamber. None of the assassins had turned up, and at first he'd lost his temper and thrown a sword across the room, and then remembered that they were out on missions at the moment, and would be called back to their respective kingdoms when the lords found out about the queen.
He sighed in frustration and decided it was time to give up for the night. He left for the armory, where he stashed his equipment and removed the last of the charge. Once it was discharged into the air, and he was changed back into more normal attire, he slipped his sheathed dagger between his chest and tunic and started down the stairs to his room, wondering briefly where Russ had gone off to.
Once in his own chambers, he stared at the bed for a good while, trying to convince himself to go to sleep. "You want to," he said aloud, lying. For a moment, he hesitated, but finally he stripped down and climbed into bed, looking at the ceiling with his arms folded behind his bed. His eyebrows met in a distracted 'v' in the center of his brow, openly telling the world of his preoccupied mind. As the moon started to rise higher, he felt his eyelids slip, and his last thought was a wonder if Illusion would be in to bed. He fell asleep with a peaceful smile, instantly relaxed.

Colm closed his eyes and reappeared in his body in the room he was left in. "That was very interesting... Now what should I wear?" he waved his hand over his body as his clothes were replaced by a deep crimson button up and black dress pants. "This will do, I'll probably have to wear a robe anyways..."

She shook her head. "not really. But I didn't expect one." She waved a hand and the mirror returned to its normal shimmer. Looking outside she let out a small noise of complaint. "It's late. I don't know where you're staying, but you're more than welcome to sleep here for tonight. My room's connected to an empty, yet furnished room next door that's used for unexpected guests of mine." she walked over to the wall and pushed the door to reveal the bed and other furnishings, yawning in the process.

Amaya drug herself over into the connecting room. She felt fine right before entering to see the council; now all her body wanted to do was rest. She sat down on the bed and pulled off her boots and left them by the bed. Then she pulled off her bandana and got out her pocket watch, setting them both on the small table by the bed. She stretched and yawned, pulling herself fulling onto the bed and closing her eyes to sleep.
