I play Many Brass instruments. Slide Trombone is My Main one. I also play Valve Trombone, Baritone & Trumpet. I play a total of 11 instruments. But Brass is my absolute fav.

i play trombone and only 3 others do, and all of them are girls. my sister and me say that trombones have the most fun

Im a trumpet player only girl in the whole brass section!!
no other girl trumpets, baratoney(my slang word for baritone), tuba, trombone, french horn.

im actually the only girl in meh whole class
kinda gets lonley*sigh*

...And baritone, marching baritone, and valve trombone...

...But we know that they're instrumental siblings...XD

Though I am learning slide trombone...

NOTE: In my marching band, 2/8 baritones are girls!

P.S. Just out of curiosity, what mouthpieces do other baritone/trombone/euphonium girls use? All the guys seem curiously fixated upon the 12C, but I love my Vincent Bach 6 1/2AL (and have since 4th grade when I started (I'm in 11th now, and still have the same mouthpiece! ^_^))

I don't know what my college orchestra will be like, but this was my high school senior year

I played horn and trumpet. one of two girl trumpets out of all band kids, but she was a froshie so she didn't play with us and is dropping it for this year. so NO MORE GIRLS FOR THE TRUMPETS

I also play horn (main instrument for next year) and it was actually 3 girls one guy, but two of us graduated so it's gonna be 1 girl.

we don't have a lot of brass girls, as you can see. you'd think with almost 200 kids you'd have more, but alas, almost every single girl in our band plays clarinet of flute. the other few that i didn't mention above are on sax, but that's only like 3 maybe 4.

i feel yah! b4 i started horn it was like that (for some reason we ignored them, but then i came along xd )

Btw, horn girls. Right now i'm borrowing a horn from my school (buying is too expensive!) but i hate the mouthpiece it came with, it's too thick. what do you guys use?

I just started playing the tuba for marching band and it so much more fun to play than the flute(which is what I play the most). But I'm 1 out of 7 girls on the tubaline and there is a total of 12 tubas. I can also play a little trumpet and trombone.

Yay euphonium! I started on that instrument, and ended up switching to trombone in the end. My mouthpiece is a King 6 1/2 AL-S. I used to play a 12C, but I'm more fond of this one. Feels better on my mouth, for some reason.

I absolutely know where you're coming from! Being one of three girls in the brass section in my band period. I know there's more in the high-er up bands, but freshman band only has two female trumpets [me and another girl] and a female mello player.

FEMALE TRUMPETS ROCK!!!! when i was in 8th grade, there were only TWO brass players. Me on trumpet and a guy on valve trombone. We were def the minority. But now we have 4 trumpets, 3 baritones, 1 trombone (diff guy now!) and three tubas and guess what... there are two girls in every one of those sections. guys are the minority in our band... heck yes...
