"I've got a question" Warren chimed in. He was happy and he was on the mission, but at the same time worried. The feelin of the station was growing and more and more he was starting to understand it. "The distresse becon, do we know if it's civillain or UNSC officer?" Warren asked.

Ashton felt his silence had been held long enough: all the higher ranks had had their share of words, but one thing was bothering him past the veil of silence. "Sirs? If I'm out of line, please correct me, but what about the parasitic lifeforms we've been hearing reports of? The stuff the Spartans keep talking about: the Flood, is it?" Ashton waited shortly, then continued. "I mean, if these forerunners could let those bastards overtake their huge Halo Installations, what makes us think the Flood wouldn't overrun a small outpost like this? And whata bout the Forerunners' own automated defenses? They haven't taken too keenly to any organic life as of late, I'm told. All I'm saying, sirs, is we need to consider non-Covie hostiles as a possibility. Sirs."

Rory was silent the whole time, but he final had enough of being silent, he stood up. "Gunnary Seargent Koles." He saluted. "I know I may be out of line when saying this also, but if we do find contacts, no matter what the possiblity of them being hostile or non hostile, I have a propossition. How about we have two teams, one team to infentrate the facility, and one at the entrance, in case there is hostiles inside the facility, that way the group on the outside can get word to the ship in case that is what happens?" He look at Ashton, and nodded, turning back to the comander. "What is your opinon on this Sirs?"

Seth remained motionless and silent. Major Lipton had entered and said his piece. However his presence seemed not to affect Able as they began with a barrage of their own questions. Civilian or Military? Could it be the Flood? All of these were valid concerns, and Seth was glad that Able asked them. It was, however, Gunnery Sergeant Koles that caught Seth's attention.
His proposal was solid enough, but it--just as any strategy had inherent flaws. If there was enemy contact, could the outside group get in fast enough to help those inside? With such limited numbers, there would only be a handful in each squad. If everything went to hell, like it tends to do, the inside squad would be slaughtered. It was a plan, but there were too many factors. Of course, aren't there always? We're not exactly working desk jobs. Seth thought to himself.
Sitting there, now idly stroking the heavy scarring on the side of his face, Seth fell deeper into thought; he however kept his eyes on Major Lipton and Commander Hammer, expectantly waiting for them to address Kole's proposal.

Dansmith silently waited the officers' response, but mulled over Kole's plan with a fine toothed comb... An insurection team, and a recon team... we could, instead, use comm bouyies to relay squad and tactical information back to command here... Ashton shifted slightly in his seat, taking pressure off his pointless scar. He was lucky the connective tissue that swathed his leg didn't inhibit movement at all, and from a tactical standpoint, it had no blood vessels going through it: it was therefore just one less place he could bleed out of. That didn't mean it didn't bug him like a b***h whenever he sat down, though....
Glancing around the room, he could see the Lt., Major, Master Sarge, Gunney, Staff Sarge, Commander, and even the Captain, were all at a bit of an unease, though the young Commander did a far better job at hiding it than anyone else. Dansmith, however, had been trained to see the hidden, to find the flaws (and fix them). He could see through the fascades of stonewalled bravery: something was wrong with this mission. He was really wondering where that Spartan was; shouldn't theur most powerful soldier get briefed on this, too? Then again, thought Ashton, He might be recieving all this on a secure and private channel. Those guys could be anywhere; they were almost as omniscent as an A.I.

Anthony remained in his seat. Understanding that there was a Major present, but not understanding of the questions. Himself, having not been on any missions involving Forerunner technology, or this "Flood" made him wonder what everyone was talking about. Finally he broke his own silence.
"Commander, I was wondering what equipment we needed to bring along. And also an updated roster of who will be in the company."

2 teams to enter, one to stay behind and another to enter the base. He better be on the recon team. He didn't want to defy order's, but he needed to investigate that station. If he had a choice in the matter, he would have preferred to do it alone.
" Gunnery sergeant I dis-agree with your proposal." Warren said simply. "Not enough of us for that kind of tactic's, I saw we go as a one group team and sweep the station head to toe" Warren suggested. He knew if his suggestion was accepted, he personal objective would be achieved. It would take time thou, and these soldiers wanted to get to earth and get some R and R.

"Alright, listen Marines!" Michael's eyes flared around the room glaring at the Sergeants who began to argue with each other. He had almost slammed his fists on the table, but his voice was much more commanding. "Sit down!" There was going to be no questioning of authority here, although he would take some of their suggestions into consideration. The Commander held his flawless posture with his shoulders back and chin held high waiting for the marines to take their seats again before he continued. All the while the Captain watched it all unfold, his hands folded casually in his lap as Hammer showed his authority.

Rory looked at Warren. "Sir, think of what you are saying, if it is indeed the flood, we would all be walking right into a trap, and all be killed." He gripped his hand on the table. "You have never fought the flood up close..." He gritted his teeth. "That's why it has to be a small team, a small team has the best chance of getting through the facility in secrecy, and if we do run into the flood, we have to radio the others, and tell them to get the hell out." He looked at the commander. "If it has to come to that, I volunteer to go myself if that is what's needed." He saluted. "I've fought the flood before...please sirs, give me this chance." He sat down. "That is all..."

Ashton looked at the Commander solemly, and tried his best to keep his voice unwavering when he spoke. "Commander, sir? I could refit our armor to carry small explosive packs near the collars... a failsafe, sir." He tried to illustrate with his hands. "I could get the Shipboard AI to get a code into the ignition units, so that if it detected Flood Biomass, it would, uh... " He gulped. "Well, the unit would blow off the marine's head, sir. The Flood can only access a host's body if the brain is intact, and once the takeover starts, as I've read, there's no saving the soldier in question." Ashton didn't know about the others, but he'd rather die quick and relatively painlessly, than live for a few more days in agony as the Flood re-designed his guts into Spore manufacturers.

Anthony couldn't help but crack a smile. He was the only Sergeant who wasn't out of his seat, or in that case, bickering about something he had never heard of. IN his head, Anthony debaited if he should ask again for that List and Roster, probably best not to at this point.
He folded his hands and set them on the table, and looked at the Commander, who looked as if he had just blown a gasket.

"You guys keep talking about the threat of the flood!, We have no proof there even aboard that station" Warren argued back. "What we need to do is search the station for anything use full in our war against the covenant!". Warren knew his words were foolish and he was speaking like an ONI. But flood, covenant or the god damn UNSC for that matter wasn't going to stop him.
His head began to start hurting and his brain felt like it was pulsating inside his skull. His eye's flinched at the pain and he no longer had the patience for this debate. He sat back down in his chair, making the gesture his point was proven.

Karr shot a glance at Warren. "Sergeant, its best to lower your voice and take a seat like the CO suggested. Its a small room and your voice carries." He said in a calm and unaltered voice. Anthony then looked at the other two, who were seated. "The same goes for you two. We came here for our next mission, not to play 20 questions with the Commander."

Dansmith looked at all the Sergeants, wondering what had gotten them all so wound up that they had ended up bickering. He shot a look at Warren: Calm down, man. All in due time. it read, though he doubted all this conveyed to the Master Sarge. The Commander looked a bit on edge to begin with, and these new men were'nt making that fantastic of a first impression; as an extension, neither was he. Hammer looked like he was going to drop the Hammer!

Warren soon realized he never acted like this, after everything seemed to calm down. This feeling from the station, emotinal out bursts, and now this throbbing headache. What was going on he couldn't help but ask himself. Warren did his best to look like was nothing was wrong, after a few more seconds the pain went away and Warren could breath easy again.
He caught a look from Ashton shortly after, a look dis-approval. He jumped out of place and he knew it. He couldn't blame him, thou it didn't help his temper much. He was almost ready to make another out burst until he saw a very pissed off commander.
