Not wanting to look weak, Spottedheart looked for prey, despite her being sore. She smelled a frog and crept closer. When the frog came in sight, she pounced, but her achey body made her slower and it hopped away from her.
"Dammit, we need prey..." she muttered, annoyed.

Foxtrot covered it as Spottedheart headed of for some other prey, and sighed inwardly when he heard her mutter. He loved her, but she was extremley competitive and proud. She was still partly inured from that fall.

Spottedheart looked behind her and saw Foxtrot watching her. Great, he saw her miss prey. Then again, she probably would've been more annoyed if he was ignoring her after her fall.
She padded over and rested her chin on him. "Guess you'll have to do the hunting."

Foxtrot licked her cheek gently, but lovingly.
"You're limbs will be sore for a little while, but you be up an hunting perfectly again in no time at all, with your determination. Its hard to hunt while injured, so dont worry," He meowed. He didnt want her to feel bad.

"How do you know? Have you ever been injured?" Spottedheart asked rhetorically.
But instead of arguing further, she lay down beside a tree and relaxed a bit. He's right, after a bit of rest she'd be fine. They didn't need to be medicine cats to figure that out.
After a while she asked, "Well, aren't you going to show me some of your hunting skills?"

He pondered replying, but went against it. He smiled and shook his head.
"Dont think you'll be impressed," He He meowed, before lifting his nose to the air, and taking in scents. The frog Spottedheart had gone after was gone, but there was a blackbird rustling the bushes a little ways away. He shivered at the though of the dead maggot-filled one, but didnt back away from well needed prey, even if they still ade him nervous.
He skillfully crept up on the bird, keeping quiet, before sliding quickly into the bush, sinking white teeth into the birds neck, and snapped it sideways, dragging it back out.

Spottedheart watched as Foxtrot's muscular body slipped into the bushes and came out with prey.
"'Don't think I'll be impressed?'" she mimicked. "That bird didn't see you coming!"
She licked his cheek gently for a good job at catching prey.

Foxtrot smiled and snorted quietly.
"Hunting was never my best quality, but I guess I got something out of Tallpoppy if its halway decent. Normally, I'd pin her in our practice fights."
He covered the bird, relived it had no maggots anywhere at all. He lifted his nose again, wondering if there was more prey about.

"Do you think you'd be able to pin me in a practice fight?" Spottedheart challenged, despite her being sore.
She got up and lashed her tail, ready to have some fun.

"Well, I've never tired, so I dont know, now do I?" He meowed, roughishly, stepping back, lashing his tail. He stood ready, waiting, to see who would move first.

Her tail lashing, Spottedheart leaped into the air, ignoring her body's protests of pain. As she awkwardly landed behind Foxtrot, she spun with her forepaw extended, attempting to n** Foxtrot's hind leg.

Foxtrot watched her lauch herself over him. He took a syep forward as she did so, and performed a powerful back kick as Spottedheart lashed out. The kick was close enough to surprise and keep away, but not close enough to hurt.

"Ack, quick," Spottedheart managed to say as she felt foot in her face.
She launched herself on his back, softly gripping his scruff with her teeth. Again her body felt sore.

Foxtrot growled playfully, but kept this fact in mind. Spottedheart's body was sore, so he would not be too rough, but he knew she would be pissed if he held back. Foxtrot tried a new tactic he had yet to try. He reared up on hind legs, shaking lighjtly, to see if it loosened her.

Since Spottedheart was holding on only lightly and had her claws sheathed, she was easily shaken off. She headbutted him to try and knock him off balance.
"If we were having a real fight, you wouldn't have shaken me off so easily," she explained, not wanting herself to look weak.
