I've played songs from Pirates of the Caribbean, Jesus Christ Superstar,Shrek, and Chicago. I thought they were going to be lame but it turned out to be really awesome.

A few years ago we got to play lord of the rings.... this grade twelve who sucked arse at playing and hated solos got the amazing solo, and I didn't because I was a grade nine... and I was much better than her... *currently in grade twelve and still angsts about it because I love lOTR* XD
anyway, outta my system now...
I've also played, pirates, harry potter, and some other stuff...

this year, we did spirited away. yubaba, dragon boy, day at the river, and soot balls. it was out best show. it was pretty awesome :]

Goodness, we've played a lot of movie and television pieces.
PoTC, Harry Potter, Disney, Grease, Star Wars, SpongeBob, West Side Story, The Polar Express...
But, we've played very few of them enough to prepare them for a concert.
Even in the middle school days.
In class we usually stay away from movie pieces and go for the classical pieces, like Concerto Grosso. But, in the ensembles that I manage we play whatever we feel like playing. We play more of the fun movie pieces.

Schindler's List theme various Harry Potter music Jaws theme Superman theme Star Wars theme Indiana Jones medly Pirates of the Caribbean Lord of the Rings Phantom of the Opera The King and I (I was in the pit orchestra for this) Probably some more that I forgot about And this year's halftime show was made up of the Dragnet theme The Incredibles Mission Impossible James Bond http://youtube.com/watch?v=_r5jtRUALPk^Drumline solo during Mission Impossible. I think it was only our second show, so it's not the cleanest, but it's still not bad.

i love playing movie music.
we have played the incredibles theme song, star wars, something from hanibal, and next year we will play things from the mummy tomb of the dragon emperor
