Jan simply tossed him another smile as she moved past him, heading into the kitchen and selecting a glass vase [decorated and created by the lamb sin'aeis himself, she supposed] to put her flowers into. Adding some water to the vase, she noticed the meal. There was quite a bit of it. Lyrus must have company.
And at this time of day? It had to have been an overnight guest. Her face was back to normal, somewhat amused but generally expressionless, and she raised an eyebrow at him. "Las' nigh', mmn? I cer'ainly 'ope whoever she es doesn' know that."

"Oh, she doesn't mind." Said the Mignon, towel wrapped around herself. "In fact, she was the one talking to him about you." Then, to Lyrus: "Can I borrow a shirt?"

Lyrus merely shrugged in response to Jan when Mignon interrupted instead, his grin giving way to a bit more of a smirk. Glancing past Jan to Mignon, he nodded. "Yeah, help yourself. There're t-shirts in the second drawer. Nicer things in the closet if you want that. And food's ready."
"You're welcome to join," he added, turning his attention back to Jan. "I made extra. I doubt I could chase you away even if I hadn't, though."

Jan was one of those people that took curveballs in stride. Actually, it wasn't too much of one. Lyrus and Mignon wasn't a real stretch to her. The blonde simply made a sort of "Ah," noise and simply arranged the flowers before setting them on a small table. Brown eyes shifting over to the other woman she smiled in greeting.
"Yer lookin' good, Mignon." Not that it had been too long since the shoes incident. "Talkin' ta 'him 'bout....?" Had she already brought up the camping trip? If so, this was an excellent opportunity for them to convince him.
On another note. It was good that Mignon was here, because Lyrus, she didn't think, could cut hair. Still, Jan would mention that when Mignon got dressed. Eyeing the male Sin'aeis in his shorts, she guessed at what could be in his stir-fry.
Looked like inferior vegetables[probably not organic] and meat. No deal for her. She was allergic to meat, for one. "Ah, no than' ya. Vegetarian, 'member?" She would eat the rice, though. Jan made a mental note to start bringing by fresh fruits and vegetables for Lyrus.

After finding a shirt and wrapping her hair in the towel, Mignon walked out. Awwww. It was a dress on her.
"Nice to see you again, Jan." She said, giving the girl a hug before sitting down. "It's like a party here, all in Lyrus' kitchen. How nice for him."

"You can't just pick the meat out? I'll eat that for you," he offered, turning back to the cabinet to pull out a few plates. Honestly, he couldn't remember Jan ever telling him she was a vegetarian. Of course, he also couldn't remember her ever eating meat.
"You're not a vegetarian too, right Mignon?" he asked as he turned back to the stove and fixed a plate for...whoever would eat it.

Jan shook her head slowly. She didn't seem at all upset, but was firm about not eating the food. "I'm 'llergic. Can't touch th' meat. I'll 'ave a bowl o' rice, though." Resting a hip against the counter, she raised her brows at Mignon. "Yea, we shoul' do this more of'en. Be 'round each other. Ea' t'getha." GO CAMPING.
"Mignon, kin ya cut my hair?"

"Me? Nope, not a vegetarian." Mig nodded, before nodding to Jan. She'd told him about it.
"And, yes. I can. You think I let anyone touch my hair when I need a trim?"

If Lyrus picked up on the hint, he gave no indication. He wasn't particularly thrilled by the idea of camping. It would take more than a couple of nudges to convince him. Instead, he stepped over and handed the plate he had just fixed before she could ask for some scissors. "Hair after lunch. You can cut it while I shower." He hadn't fixed such a feast for them to let it get cold.
Returning to the stove, he fixed himself a plate and retreated to the couch to eat, glancing back towards Jan once he'd taken a seat. "You must have another reason for being here. I'm sure you didn't expect me to cut your hair. Just bringing me flowers~?"

Jan wasn't the slick type. It was one of her best qualities. Instead, she just gave him that sweet smile, brown eyes eager. "Come campin' with us, Lyrus. Please?" It was JAN and MIGNON asking. He could give up his nice bed for a few days.
At the mention of eating first, Jan stood. "Lemme pop in th' shower, then. I won' need any 'ot water. Jes' gotta git my hair wet fer th'cut."

Mig looked to Lyrus, then to Jan. "It's going to be amazing. I'm really looking forward to it. Out in the wilderness, just with people we trust... I won't have to pack a swimsuit, right?"
"And how short do you want the hair?"

Lyrus grimaced, turning his attention from the two in favor of his food. He planned on eating before it got cold, even if they seemed interested in other things. Like camping. Ugh. Still, it was hard to turn down the invitation from both Jan and Mignon--especially with Mignon's remark about not worrying about a swimsuit, though he knew that was only bribery for him.
"I said I would think about it. That's what I told Mignon, that's what I'm telling you."

Jan grinned at Lyrus' grumpy words, shaking her head as she took out her ponytail and headed for the bathroom. A few short minutes later, she reappeared, a towel around her shoulders, blonde hair dark with dampness.
"Alrigh', cut et off, Mignon." Taking a seat in front of the older girl, she simply waited, completely relaxed. Obviously, she'd already made peace with the loss of her hair.

Mignon stood and hummed, sadly hardly big enough for this when Jan was sitting down. She was a tiny beast.
"All right. How short you want it? Like, shorter than Lyrus', same length, longer...?"

Lyrus made short work of his meal and was halfway through a second plate by the time Jan returned from the bathroom. Normally he ate some sort of meal after he came home from work; last night, that hadn't happened, so he was making up for it today.
He watched with a sort of lazy amusement as Jan sat and Mignon stepped up behind her, but soon set his plate down and stood, wandering off and returning shortly with scissors and another towel. The handle of the scissors went in Mignon's hand, the towel went on the floor. "Don't get hair in the carpet."
