I was in a practice room, practicing one day for my final, when i tried to play a high D (on the clarinet), and i couldnt play it. I looked into the bottom of my clarinet, took the bell off, and found a rolled up piece of paper.I stuck a pencil in there to get it out, and found that it said hello! on one side and had a picture of a couple of jubjub's (neopets) on it. Then i remembered that i stuck it in there at my last band concert, because i was that bored.

One day after practice, I took apart my sax and out fell an old crumpled up piece of tin foil...and 2 reeds..they were new and un-sucked... ???? The reeds fell right out of the bell when I tried to swap it. But the tin foil...not easy... It's still a mystery. You should have seen the look on my conductor's face.

Can't say I've ever found something in my instrument, but in the school's tenor case (of which I had been using for a couple months before this) I found this really nasty, almost unplayable mouthpiece just sitting in there. It was really disgusting. I kept it in there, thinking maybe a dumb sevvie had left it in there, but as I took it home this summer, there it was, still in the case. I had to dispose of it very carefully. I didn't want to get herpes or some other weird disease.

Found gloves in my mello before. Stuck 'em there for safe-keeping and forgot 'em. I've found sheet music in my mello bell before as well, also for safe-keeping. I heard gurgling noises when I played once too. Turns out when we were standing under the stands during a rainy game water had dripped from the stands into my mounpiece right into my horn. Kept finding water in the valves and slides on it for a week.
I did that on purpose the next rainy game, only I used the bell of my horn to catch the water instead of the mouthpiece. It was funny to see the band's reaction when all this water came pouring out of the bell. xp

I used to store my old MP3 player in my clarinet bell cause I didn't have enough room in my clarinet case and I've stored concert programs in there... I mostly stuff my case with money and the such. We once found gloves from a clarinet and a saxaphone player in the said sax player's bell... we stuffed them there cause we were dancing and tired of the gloves XDDD

ok...oddest thing i've found in an instrument.
That would have to be in my sousaphone my first year of playing it (junior year of high school). my tuba actually hadn't been used and several years and come to find out it was being used by the previous tuba players as a somewhat treasure trove of goodies.
inside i found ~condoms (both used and unused) ~pot (which i did not keep) ~a mini plastic football (they were thrown out at football games) ~porn (again, i didn't keep it) ~guns and ammo magazine ~dinkles (oddly enough they were both for the left foot....) ~music ~two lighters ~an empty pack of malboro reds ~hmwk for verious classes
i'm pretty sure that's it...but believe me....it never happened again...

A friend of mine got a bouncie ball stuck in his trombone. Then again he did also try to put speakers in his trombone case so he could listen to music in class so it was no surprise.
