Edgar saw no reason to lie to her. In fact, he felt a hint of his own kind within her. "I am from Mount Olympus," he explained. "I am the son of Hephaetus and Aphrodite. My mother was able to bless my body with beauty, except for my mouth. It was punishment from Grandpa Zeus, seeing as my mother started the Trojan War. He knew that no woman would love me with a mouth such as mine. My father blessed me with strength and the creation and control of fire." He sighed, having essentially told his life story.

"Really? The son of gods? Ha! I knew none of that monotheistic stuff was true. But why should you be suffering for your mother's sins?" She absentmindedly traced from her cheek to her bottom lip with her hand.

Edgar shrugged. "Grandpa Zeus works in mysterious ways," he replied. "It could have been worse. I could be fully deformed." Loni made his way back to Edgar's lap.

Nikki leaned more against the tree and nodded. "Mmm, I do suppose. What's it like there? Is it really a paradise like in the stories? Why would you leave if it is? How long have you been on Earth? Are you happy to be here? How strong are you really? How hard is it to control fire? Where did you find Loni? Hmm, I ask a lot of questions at once, don't I? Ah, there's another one."

Just then Carile came up to Foxx from the front desk.
"The auditions got canceled and changed to tomorrow. They said to come back same time." She said and led Foxx out of the lobby.
"Can I go swimming then?" She asked then pulled another water bottle out of her bag that she carried everywhere.
Carile rolled her eyes. "Sure but not at the beach today. The pool is fine though." They both got in the car and Foxx stared out the window at everything, the street, stores they passed by, people, the sky. Carile took her time driving. She had always done so since she'd lost her husband in a freak traffic accident. Foxx didn't mind the pace when there was no rush. But otherwise it was a pain.
Foxx closed her eyes, and she could see that glowing again. She found that the silver glow behind her eyelids meant water when she'd first noticed it when she was diving at a local pool almost a year ago. She gasped and opened her eyes looking around frantically as she noticed two different colored glows. She searched the sky and scenery around her looking for what might be the source.
She didn't see anything and when she closed her eyes again she didn't see the glows again. She could have sworn they were human shaped.

Edgar lowered his head. "I never really got to see Olympus," he replied. "I was hidden away from the others. The other gods knew I existed, but my mother would forbid them to see me. I met each of them at least once, though, thank to my father." He lifted his head again. "Well, I've been on Earth for about a month now. I'm incredibly strong. Controlling fire is as easy as controlling my body. I found Loni in the forest. You don't ask as many questions as Hermes."

Nikki laughed, accidentally hitting her head against the tree during her convulsive motion. She rubbed the back of her head. "Oww, silly tree being in the way of my laughter. Is the messenger god a gossip or simply curious like me? Why would your mother want to hide you away? I don't see the problem as long as you cover your mouth. Your father seems like a splendiferous chap. How do the other gods seem? Why are you on Earth? Are you headed somewhere? What have you been doing for the past month? What was he," Nikki nodded towards Loni, "doing in the forest? What's it like to be able to control fire? It must be magnificent. I wish I had some sort of talent; all I'm good at is swimming, but that's nothing special." She looked up at Edgar with a chipper smile.

Drecklor laughed at Koujrd's stupid question. When Rayne walked over, he told her that she could go inside, and maybe cook dinner, if she was good at that sort of thing. He stood, wiping off his pants, and turned to a little shed. He opened the door, and took out a small dagger. He turned again, and held it out toward Koujrd, just to see what he would do with it.

Rayne walked inside and tripped over another kid's foot. The kids snickered and ran away quickly. She grunted and pulled herself up. Another kid came running up to her and held a needle in his hand. He approached her like he was going to give her a shot. Rayne's face paled very quickly. She backed up from the child as memories flashed before her eyes. The doctor trying to kill her. Cold sweat started to roll down her face as the child was finding her fear entertaining and continued to walk towards her with the needle.

Koujrd watched Rayne walk away and then turned back to Drecklor to see that he was holding a dagger out towards him. Growling, Koujrd jumped back and threw the large rock he'd been holding at the dagger, dashing forward once it was in the air. He never noticed when he went into the violent reactions to blades, but every time a weapon faced him, instinct took over and the person holding it had to be disarmed.

Edgar sighed. "For a child of Poseidon, you ask a lot of questions," he said, patting his knee so Loni would return to him. "Hermes is simply curious, but I'm sure he gossips from time to time." He then stood up, taking Loni with him. "Now then, I have a mission to attend to. It was nice meeting you." With that, he began to walk away.

Rayne stares at the needle and it shoots out of the child's hand. She lets it fall onto a tall shelf. The child starts to try to reach it. Then he starts to sniffle. Then he bursts out crying because he couldn't get the needle. She restrained from tightening the atmospheric pressure and was teleported to mount olympus. She rested on a cloud in front of her mother, Hera. Hera looked at her strictly. "M-mum?", Rayne whispered, scared. "Why would you be scared of a child with a sharp object?", Hera hissed. "Experiance.", Rayne barely whispered. "Get over it. This is the reason you don't meet other Kagen. You are a coward, weak.", Hera hissed at her then sent her out. Rayne sat on one of the clouds above the orphanage. Tears slipped off her cheeks and into a cloud. It started to rain. She couldn't stand her mother's abuse.
