Quirky Alice AAAAGH!!! (alright, i admit, a good actress and shes plain enough to be bella) THEY ARE ACTUALLY MAKING IT INTO A MOVIE NOW!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!-cries- crying crying crying only if they have gaspard ulliel be edward will i not shoot random people.
Gaspard would be amazing. I'm not sure if he's handsome enough to be Edward, but he's a phenomonal actor so as long as he can nail Edward's character it should be sweet.

I think Kristen Stewart will be a great Bella. For everyone who thinks Emily Browning would have been better, personally, I never really imagined Bella having the soft features that Emily does. I always thought she would be more rugged looking and Edward would be the one with softer features. So I'm pretty pleased with the decision :]

Oh, he's hot all right.
But Bella's always comparing him to a renaissance statue or whatever. Very classically handsome.
Gaspard isn't that particular brand of handsome. He's more...distinctively handsome.
Iunno. I adore Gaspard but I just don't see him as Edward, although like I said that probably wouldn't have mattered because Gaspard is an incredible actor and thus would be able to pull off any part. ^^'

I wasn't too excited about the decision, but I am not gonna hold her off just because of that. Honestly, now that they chose Edward, I see she may work out. We'll know for sure once the movie hits, though, won't we. hahaha

julliel I actually like Felicity Jones. She has that soft look Bella has. D: Oh, casting director. How I'd love to throttle you.
personally, i really don't thing Kristen Stewart looks like a Bella.... and if only Gaspard was Edward, then i might be okay with it...
but, unfortunately, my opinions don't really count....

i love this idea for bella!
I've only seen this girl in one movie (The Messangers) and i thought her acting was great. This girl will pull it off, no doubt ^.^

Great actress, but she's too monotone, cranky, tomboy. Every role she plays, she turns it into a cranky sounding tomboy. Her looks are too hard, and she's just not Bella. Bella is more soft. I don't know. I'm just not thrilled.

I recently watched A Series of Unfortunate Events on TV and since then I have hoped that Emily Browning would be cast as Bella. It wasn't until about 30 seconds ago, while reading the first page of replies to this topic, that I found out Stephenie Meyer said on her website that she wanted Emily Browning to play the part.
Anyway, I have no idea who Kristen Stewart is...but other people have said she's a good actor, so I'm desperately hoping they're right. Then again, whether the movie is good or not depends a lot on the script. I also have no idea who Gaspard Ulliel is either (or Robert Pattinson, who has now been cast as Edward). I think I'll go look it up...
