Sofia arrived at the Bomb Shop and entered, slightly out of breath.

"Tetana!" she cried. An elderly woman stepped out from a back room, her hair slightly smouldering. That was often the case with the owner of the Bomb Shop.

"Yes, dearie?" the woman replied. Sofia smiled widely and set her bag on the desk.

"Bigosso developed a new kind of bomb. Naturally, he didn't explain. He said he would be down in the village later to tell you about them. I'm just the delivery girl... as usual..." she informed Tetana. The woman grinned and peeked inside the bag.

"Wow, these look good. I'll set them in the back room. Would you like some tea, dear?" she asked. Sofia was about to refuse when she caught sight of an incredibly cute Hylian walking down the stairs to the side of the main room.

"Jasper... yes, I think I have time," she said, blushing. Tetana grinned again and disappeared for a moment.

"Come upstairs, dearie!" she said. Sofia followed, looking back at Jasper.

"Oh, he's heading to Hyrule City for me. Goodbye, Jasper!" Tetana called. The boy waved and walked out the door. Sofia's face fell.

"Oh... on second though, I think Gustav wants me back..." she mumbled. Tetana sighed.

"Come now dearie!"

"Fine!" Sofia almost shouted, walking up the stairs to enjoy a nice cup of tea.

Zelda stood on her balcony, leaning on the polished marble. She stared out, over the roofs of Castle Town, over the wall, to seemingly endless grass of Hyrule field. She bit her lip, turned, and went back into her room.

Perhaps she was overreacting. Just because his name was Gannondorf didn't mean that he was a reincarnation. She wasn't even sure about herself; how could she be sure of him when she hadn't even seen him? Reincarnation for Gannon shouldn't be possible, anyway, not when he was trapped in the Sacred Realm.

Usually thinking through things made her feel better, not so this time. She sat down in front of her mirror with a soft sigh and began removing her jewelry. Suddenly she stopped, looking at her own face in the mirror. She watched as her face went slowly from pensive to incredibly tired and sad; she really didn't look like a person, even to herself. She looked like a doll, a doll of living porcelain.

Inariie stood a safe distance away from Gannondorf, absently nibbling on a piece of dried fruit. She was bored, but knew better than to interrupt him. As she watched, he nearly took the dummy's head off, and she winced. He'd need a new one sooner rather than later if he kept that up.

Artanis lay on the roof of the Princess' quarters, glaring up at the sky. This marriage business was irritating, not because he had any concern for the happiness of any of the involved parties, but because it had already made Zelda's behavior more erratic, and erratic meant more work for him. Ah, well.

((Happy, Sister of Mine? Are you happy now? I posted. There.))

Kohana swam across Zora's Fountain and made her way back through the tunnel that lead to Zora's Domain. Her father, King Zora the IV, looked at her as she gracefully walked down the stairs in the throne room.

"How is our Lord Jabu Jabu?" he asked, smiling fondly towards her. Kohana turned around and grinned back to her father.

"Lord Jabu Jabu is just fine. He accepted his offering and is healthy. And what about you, father? How is your arthritis?" she asked. the King shook his head and wiggled his legs around.

"What arthritis?" he asked. Kohana laughed and walked out of the room to take a walk and swim through the domain. As she left, the nurse strod into the throne room.

"My King, it is time for me to check you," she said. Kohana heard and walked faster.

"Hello...?" Gustave said as he walked into the store, noticing that no-one was at the counter. "Huh... they must be having company or something..."

(('Nuther long post. They'll shorten up sometime.))

A good finishing volley wrapped up with a low-to-high slash. The dummy lifted into the air, pivoted slightly, and came back down on its side, still intact as usual but somewhat battered. Ganondorf stopped to catch his breath. "Inariie? I must admit I did not expect you so soon," he said, glancing back over his shoulder. "I'm glad to see you, though. We should get camp packed up. If we're quick about it, we'll still be at the castle before dusk." He paused for a moment. "And if you have time afterwards, I'd like to see the elite guard I'm planning," he added. "You know. Yourself, Kia, Arryl, Nalani, Sila. Have them meet me as soon as we're underway." With that he turned about, heading for his own tent.

Hyrule was pleasant compared to the desert. It wasn't as hot during the day, and nowhere near as cold at night. Ganondorf had hardly needed his tent nor sleeping arrangements; it was quite comfortable to lie out amidst the stars. Sure, the dew was slightly annoying in the mornings, but he'd gotten used to it. They'd already traveled most of the three to five days between Gerudo Valley and Hyrule Castle, so he'd become quite accustomed to the environment. ((Here I'm taking the liberty of reality-ing the size of Hyrule Field. This fine?)) Either way, his arrival would probably take place that day, and he wanted to put on a good show.

That was mostly the reason he brought his sizable guard with him. He didn't expect to be attacked; he didn't think they'd dare, what with the rest of the army hanging behind but poised to march double-time up to the castle. He wanted to make an impression, remind everyone in the city why it was he was marrying their princess. To remind them that it would be an excellent idea to hold to their treaty.

To remind them who was really in charge.

Really it would be the first time Hyn would come back to Hyrule Castle in a long time.

It was risky to do so. He still didn't care to be recognized. Rumors, however, had circulated back to him, and the story of Zelda marrying a foreigner was beginning to sound believable. If it happened, Hyn wanted to be there, if only to avoid hearing the story from someone else.

He hoped it was a rumor, that the day's jog he was trying to accomplish would be wasted, but it seemed less and less likely. Glancing up at the sun, he realized he wouldn't get there till after dusk. Worried slightly, he pushed himself a little harder, wondering if he could even keep up the run long enough to make it worth it.

((this will be LONG))

As Kohana passed by the exit out into Zora's River, she stood still for a moment. Suddenly, all she wanted to do was take a swim down to the bridge over the river near Kakariko and back.

"No one will notice. I mean, how long could this take?" she asked herself, walking out into the bright sunlight. Shielding her eyes, Kohana marvelled at the beauty of what lay before her. Of course, she came out here a lot, but still.

"So pretty... so unlike the Domain..." she mumbled. Reaching out in front of her, she hopped into the waterfall blocking the tunnel entrance to her home. Falling down into the water, she sighed in relief.

"The water's warm today!" she exclaimed once she resurfaced several meters away from the base of the waterfall. Kicking out behind her, she started the half an hour long swim that would take her to Hyrule Field. She failed to notice a lone octoroc following her.

Half an hour later, she brought her head out of the water and took hold of the side of the bridge with one hand. She treaded water with her other hand and her legs.

Kohana lost herself in thought. Suddenly, the octoroc leapt at her and started to attack her. Kohana forgot all of the training she had given herself and resorted back to the frail maiden she was.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!"

Tetana heard the small bell hung at the door that signalled a customer.

"Sorry, dearie. You wait here, okay?" she told Sofia. The girl shook her head.

"No, Tetana, I'll help you!" she responded. Tetana's face brightened and she hugged the girl.

"You are too kind, Sofia! Coming!" she cried, first to Sofia, but calling the last word down the stairs.

Sofia followed Tetana down the stairs and saw Gustave standing at the counter. She blushed slightly, recognizing him, and stood shyly at the bottom of the stairs.

"Good day, sir. How may I help you?" Tetana asked Gustave. She failed to notice Sofia's shyness.

Kia suddenly appeared at Ganondorf's side.

"Lord?" she asked, with an almost adoring tone. Pulling out an ocarina, she held it up.

"I am packed. Would you like some music?"

Sila, however, was dawdling. She didn't want to leave, she had become accustomed to this location. But she knew she had to obey Ganondorf to keep her protection.

"D*** Ganondorf..." she muttered under her breath, pushing her thoughts to the back of her head.

((By the way, I can't remember what I put in the profile, but I see Kia as Bellatrix from Harry Potter for her feelings towards Ganondorf))

Link's long hylian ears twitched as he heard the faint sound of a scream. Others seemed to hear the scream as well, though as far as the boy could see, no one was willing to help. 'I guess it's up to me to help,' Link thought as he took of to the town, temporarily abandoning his friend. At the bottom of the stairs, Link spotted a large Octoroc attacking a girl, no wait, a zora. "Don't worry, I'll help you!" 'Why did I say that, I don't have anything to fight that thang.' Quickly link looked around a soon spotted a small patch of rocks. They weren't much, but Link needed to work with what he had, "Take this!" Link yelled as he began to toss the stones at the monster. More likely annoyed then afraid, the Octorok eventually swam back against the current towards Zora's Domain.

Inariie tried very hard not to smile and succeeded only partially. Gannondorf's reactions to Kia's shows of devotion were widely varied, but always entertaining. Inariie decided to show some mercy; before her friend and master could react, she spoke firmly. "No time, Kia. We have to pack up."

Zelda walked through the streets of Castle Town, feeling jumpier than usual. It had been much, much more difficult to sneak past the guards this time; security was tight, probably in preparation for the arrival of her bridegroom. She'd had to cheat a bit to get out, she thought ruefully as she caught a glimpse of an unfamiliar redhead reflected in a shop window, but she'd never needed to get out more than right then. If she'd had to stay in the palace for one more second, she would have started pulling out her hair.

Ganondorf silently chuckled at Kia's usual behavior, but brought himself back to earth quickly. "Inariie is right," Ganondorf stated. "We haven't time. The others should have our tents down in a matter of minutes, so I'd suggest getting your mounts together." His mount was perhaps the finest horse he knew of. It was a warhorse, pure black, and as of yet, unnamed. He couldn't think of a name that seemed to fit the animal, and it would probably have a long wait yet, as Ganondorf had other things to occupy himself with.

"Once we're underway, it will be... two, three hours 'till we're in sight of the walls. Make sure you're prepared to intimidate," he added. He turned to survey the camp. Most of the tents had already gone down, and several of the Gerudos were beginning to load their own desert mounts, be they horses or camels, with their own equipment.

Arryl quite suddenly apppeared from around a tent. She marched up to Ganondorf, bowing slightly as she came closer. "M'lord, you required me?"

"You seem to have a sense of what I want," Ganondorf replied, raising his eyebrows. "Inariie, hasn't even gotten out the word."

"Other Gerudos heard," Arryl explained with a faint grin.

"Very well. Now, we just need Nalani, Artemis, and Sila here," he said, glancing around looking for them."

Arryl's grin stayed, but it became somewhat wry. Here she was, working again for favor, bowing, all in all being a humble fool to a man who was probably not that much the greater of her. He might be stronger, but he probably wasn't wiser. After all, Arryl's quiet power-struggle had escaped him. It wasn't through sheer fighting talent that Arryl had become one of Ganondorf's Elite; it was through much trickery, bribery, and even a touch of murder that she had achieved her own position. Some had been recognized, and seen as a strong point. It probably wouldn't be if Ganondorf knew whose blood had stained her blade.

Artanis slipped through to crowd after the red-haired girl that was the Princess. He stayed a good ways back from her, not that it was necessary. She never noticed him following her when she went on her little excursions. He couldn't understand why she'd want to take in the local color when she was supposed to be getting ready to receive her finance, but it wasn't really any of his business, anyway.

Kohana watched in interest as a Hylian defended her from the octoroc. Of course, his method made her giggle, but at least he helped, she thought to herself. Getting out of the water, she walked gracefully up to Link.

"Thank you very kindly. You saved me," she said gratefully. She held out a hand and waited for the boy to shake it. Glancing back upstream, she couldn't help but shiver.

~If I lose my abilities faced with a simple octoroc, how am I going to deal with something bigger if something happens?~ she thought to herself. Turning back to Link, she forced a smile.

"My name is Kohana. And you are?"

Kia shot a quick glance at Inariie and turned back to Ganondorf.

"Yes, Lord," she murmered, walking over to her horse, a fine bay mare. Her equipment was already loaded onto Isali as Kia had been hoping to get some light in Ganondorf's eyes. Leading the mare closer to Ganondorf, she silently admired his mount. Isali was a fine mount, but she often wished for a horse with greater fighting potential. Isali, being a mare, was troublesome, especially during mating season...

Sila finally finished packing her tent and loading her things onto a dull grey stallion. He had belonged to a friend of hers that she had ended up killing for fear that the woman would tell of Sila's secret. She knew not the stallion's name, but had settled with calling him Horse for no reason. Taking the reins, she lead him towards Ganondorf, Kia, Arryl and Inariie.

"Come on, Horse!" she whispered when he tried to shy away from Ganondorf's warhorse. Glancing up at Ganondorf, she smiled, but her eyes remained hard.

"I am all packed and ready to go, my Lord," she said, putting emphasis on the word lord.

"Link," the boy replied and grabbed her hand. The scales and her hand scratched at his palm, but Link felt it would be rude to let go. "So what are you doing this far from Zora Domain?"
PostPosted: Wed Nov 07, 2007 6:29 pm

Inariie gave a mock salute, her eyes twinkling. "I will go find the other two at once, Lord Gannondorf." Her eyes flicked to Arryl, who's smile had become somewhat fixed now that Gannondorf was no longer looking at her. She sent the other woman a cold, knowing look, then turned and went off to find the rest of the elite.

Instead of calming her down, Zelda's walk was making her feel more and more frantic. Her eyes were caught by a young woman with a small child in her arms leaning her head briefly but tenderly against her husband's shoulder.

The next thing she knew she was all but running toward the gate out to Hyrule Field. She knew that she should stop, think things though, and then face her fear, but her feet had a will of their own. She sped past the guards at the gate, who barely looked at her. What was there to see? Just a too skinny redhead with too many freckles.

Her feet hit the grass, but she only sped up. She didn't care where she was going, as long as it was away from where she was. Her vision went blurry, and she reached up to wipe the tears away from unfamiliar cheeks.
