"Ooooo!! I bet they have cupcakes! They always have cupcakes," she clapped her hands together excitedly, "Come on! Let's go!!"
The little pixie started fluttering down one of the corridors that was filled with paintings. She would occasionally pause in front of one, and say it was one of her favorites. Most of those had pixies in them.

"Cupcakes? Well..." Cirdan half grimaced, he was hoping for a solid meal, not dessert, but then he smiled, "Yeah, but lets get some fresh bread and perhaps so hearty stew. Or something of the like. I've had too much salty meat and dried fruits of the late."
Noting a lot of the paintings, Cirdan counted the ones he knew and the ones he didn't, to his surprise, there was quite a bit of new paintings since his last visit, the artisans have been very busy. And as usual, exceptional work.

"Cupcakes!" Megumi cheered, "Mmmm!!!" Noticing that his rather high pitched, strong squeal was now echoing down the hallway like a bouncy ball, he became quite excited. Another squeal escaped him, and he giggled at the sound of it.
"Shh! Megumi be quite! You're going to get us into trouble!" Luna pinched his arm and grabbed hold of him.
"Ow!" He shot her an irritated glance as he tried to pull away from the fingers tightly pressed around his arm, which was to no avail.
They followed Renee wide eyed and excited. As they neared the kitchen, mouthwatering smells made their way into their nostrils. How special the two of them must have felt, to be anticipating a meal from the castle.

"Fine. You can eat healthy stuff. But I'm having cupcakes!" Renee snorted.
As they continued to the kitchen, she couldn't help but giggle at Megumi's antics. She turned sharply into the kitchen archway and perched herself expectantly on the counter. The chef looked and her with a sigh, and a chuckle, before handing her a pair of frosted cupcakes. He then set out food for Renee's friends to try, including some more cupcakes. He was used to pixies bringing their friends from the outside world here.

"Eh... Sir, could you do something a bit more... Well, keast pastry and more meat?" Though the chef set out some interesting items, none where quite what Cirdan was hoping for. "A large bowl of beef stew, and a loaf of bread would be wonderful. I've had some of yours on my last visit here, and it was wonderful..." Cirdan flinched at tht, he hoped Renee was too busy with her cupcakes to hear that. It wouldn't bode well for the pixie to learn that he knew the castle all to well. Then again, it has been a while... And Cirdan began to wonder, if he had met Renee before hand.

Luna gratefully took the food that was placed in front of her. Everything was so wonderful. Especially the cupcakes. Luna chuckled at Megumi, who had frosting all over his face.
He looked up at her and grinned, "I want more!"
She laughed and handed him another cupcake with fluffy white icing. There were so many different kinds, surely they wouldn't mind if he had another.
"Thank you!" He took it and began to eat. When he had finished, he boldly announced, "I have to go to the bathroom!" He looked around for someone to tell him where the restroom was. The chef pointed a little ways down one of the hallways and gave Megumi a few directions. Megumi slid out of his chair and began walking in the direction he had been pointed in.
Luna called to him, "Wash your face when you're in there as well!" She laughed and shook her head. She turned to Renee and Cirdan. "I'm sorry if we are any trouble. Renee, thank you for bringing us here! And for the food, it's wonderful!" She gave a little bow to Renee, and then to the chef and thanked him again for the food.

"You guys aren't any trouble!" Renee smiled warmly, "You're all my friends. Friends are never trouble."
The little pixie then finished her second cupcake, and waited paciently for the others. Humming and swinging her feet as she did so.

"Yes, friends. Thank you! It's good to have friends," Luna said with a smile. She didn't have very many friends in the village where she lived, most of the elves her age were busy working and helping out their families, and Luna was usually doing the same. She didn't have much time for anything else. There were a few other fairies in the village, but none of them were her age, and they usually just kept to themselves. But despite this, Luna was very content with her life, and when she did have some free time, she spent it with her family, or playing with Megumi. This made her happy. Now she was finding that having friends was just as, if not more, exciting.
She finished eating and began to wait patiently. Renee had already finished eating, and Cirdan seemed to be finishing up himself. Megumi hadn't come back from the bathroom yet, and Luna was beginning to become agitated. "Where is that little brat? He hasn't come back yet...I hope he isn't lost." She rolled her eyes. Typical, this was just like Megumi. She should have know it was not a good idea for him to leave by himself.
After scrubbing all the frosting off his face, Megumi left the bathroom and made his way down the hallway in what he thought was the opposite direction in which he had come. When he came to a large staircase, which was where he thought the kitchen was supposed to be, he realized that he had gone the wrong way. he gazed up the stairs for awhile. Then something caught his attention. Something was at the top of the stairs, glittering and shining like a star. "Tresure!" He gasped. This was too much of an opportunity for a little boy to pass up, so up the stairs he went.

((don't worry, you don't. I just don't have as much to type most of the time))
"I'll go look for him! I know this castle like the back of my hand!" Renee offered, and sped out the door. She asked a few servants if they had seen a small elf boy lately, and eventually came to a staircase, and saw Megumi climbing them.
Purely out of curiousity of what he could possibly be doing, she said nothing, but flew a little closer to watch. If it looked like he would get himself in trouble, she would try to stop him.

Cirdan finished his well portioned meal quickly, caring little for manners. He was about to offer to go with Renee, but thought better not to, after the pixie can cover more ground, and faster then he could. That left him alone with Luna. Cirdan decided now might be a good time to ask a quick question.
"I'm curious, why are you and your brother so far from home. Even when lost, most do wander to far from the homestead." Cirdan knew that he had never seen the children before, which due to his social activties, isn't unheard of, but still he finds himself playing with children more often then adults. "Or did something happen, and you have no way to return?"

Megumi reached the top of the stairs and looked around. From the stairs there was a hallway directly to the right, and one directly to the left. The shining object was only about 2 feet away from him. He crept over to it and clasped it in his hands. Before he had a chance to look at it, he heard voices coming around the corner from the hallway to the right."Are you sure you lost it here?" came a woman's voice. "Uh...yes, I'm quite sure," Came the shaky reply. "Well find it! You know how important that pendant is!" Megumi didn't know what to do, so he scurried off down the hall on his left and darted into the first room he came to. It was a very large and bright room, with elegant gold and white wallpaper. There was a dresser on the far right wall with an enormous mirror, and a gigantic white frilly bed in the center of the room. The brightness of the room made him squint, but it didn't stop him from hurriedly ducking under the bed to hide. Though he didn't know whom the voices belonged to, his young imagination was running wild and his heart was pounding. He opened up his hand to look at the object he had found. It was small and jagged and sparkled brilliantly and was attached to a small silver chain. Megumi didn't know much about expensive gems, but he knew that this must be a diamond. She hated to admit that the only reason she was away from home was because she simply got lost. 'Home! I haven't even thought about home until now! Oh...Mom, I'm sorry, but I can't come home just yet...' she thought to herself. Then she looked at Cirdan, "Well, uh...we were just..." she sighed, "Lost...we got lost. And then we ran into Renee! We promised to help her find Lord Gethin, and she promised to take us to the Castle. She has already fulfilled her promise, so now Megumi and I must fulfill our promise."

"Uh oh..." Renee gulped, and ducked behind a vase. She watched Megumi run into a bedroom, and gasped. If he got caught in there...
She turned her head, not looking to see who was comming down the hall toward the stairs. She had to get Megumi out of there somehow, before the owner got back. Then again, she had never actually met the person, but thought it better to be safe then sorry.

"Well, your more noble then... Well most nobles. I suppose, once you finish helping Renee, I will be sure to get you two home. That is... Unless you live across the Great Ravine. The bridge is is out, I heard a few servants gossiping about it near the castle entrance. Its a long way around it, but I don't think ti would be safe to take even a company of soldiers through the lands around the Ravine."
Cirdan pondered about perhaps training in those bad lands. It would be life or death, but sound reason overcame those thoughts some years ago. It would be many more before it would even be reasonable to try the outskirts. After all, in the bad lands, sometiems gravity doesn't follow the normal laws, and the beasts seem to be from another world entirely.

"The bridge is out?! Oh no! But...it can't be, it was there just yesterday before we got lost! We crossed over it...How could it...what happened to it?! It will take us several days...or weeks to get home!" Luna's heart sunk. She felt frightened, like she would never see her home again. What would her parents think? They needed her help at home. She put her face into her hands. She felt like she was going to cry. 'No! Luna pull yourself together! You can't cry now! We will get home, it will just take awhile. This could be the adventure I was looking for...but why am I so scared?' She sighed and tried to regain her composure. "I...I'm sorry...for that. Um...so, how long do you think it will take...to...to go around?"
Vanera had finished her shopping in town and was now returning to the Castle. She entered her room and set her things upon her dresser. She opened her jewelry box and began looking around. "Huh...where is it?" She began to rummage around inside desperately looking for something, then she thought she heard someone behind her. She turned around but no one was there. She knew she had heard something...like breathing. She stopped and listened.
Megumi heard footsteps coming into the room he was in. From his position under the bed he could see the feet move to the dresser and put some things on it. The feet were small and were wearing satiny white slippers, obviously a female. The feet neared the bed and Megumi tried his hardest not to breathe too loud. He was frightened and could not hold his fast, short breaths inside. He saw the feet stop moving and heard the woman stop breathing, as if she was listening. Megumi clasped his hand to his mouth, hoping that he had not been heard. But it was too late. The woman crouched down next to the comforter and began to pull it up to look under the bed.

"Its... Not a good ventrue to go around. It would be better to wait the couple of months for the repairs to be made. Both routes around are death warrants to those who try." Cirdan then smiled at a thought, "But... I think I might know a way to cross... A surface dweller device fell into a nobles yard, Its a fascinating device that uses air to lift a basket off the ground. Its said it can fly."
Cirdan also knew that no one knew how it worked, but it couldn't be to difficult to figure out, after all, none of the researchers would dare ask any one but another elf. Rumors have it, pixies on site, claimed to now how it works. And the observers call it possesed, because the flying device seems to move frm its orginal place each day.
