Haruko smiled, not feeling even the slightest twinge of embarrasment, despite being taught by a girl who who looked like a gradeschooler. She supposed it might seem silly to some of the new recruits, but most people who had starteed the same time as them knew just how powerful Hikari was. "I think I'll wait till I can get this reiatsu ball thing down before I go back to training... I had thought that I had it down..." Haruko said with a nod.

Hikari pulls her hand to her side one more time. As she pushes her hand forward again, she condenses the air and reiatsu into as small a ball as she can, and... "Hadou no Ichi, Ranboukaze!" ...she can immediately tell a difference. Between now and her experiences within shikai training, it's less controlled and drains her more. She exhales a breath as the hadou is easily absorbed by whatever reiatsu-absorbing technique is in use within the library. It was good experience, and she's beginning to feel much more confident with the use of this hadou in the 'outside' world. She quickly puts on a smile as she turns to Haruko. "There's nothing to 'get down' really. If you force it, it won't come, Poku-chan."

With his eyes still closed, he maintained his pose while gathering together his explanation in his head...
"well...I think I pretty much have it down in theory...but before I can place that theory into use, I have to be able to concentrate reiatsu into the part of my body that is required for the kidou...here's what I'm thinking should happen...I concentrate reiatsu into my palm...the reiatsu is then combined with the air around the palm's vicinity...and then with a release of the reiatsu at an opponent, the air is pulled along with it, hence creating the kidou known as Ranboukaze...of course...this is all theory...I didn't get any specific procedure from the book, so I may as well go by what I believe should be correct..."
Shunketsu then returned to what he was doing...He released a bit more reiatsu than needed...a lot of his reiatsu was just flowing around him...with only a small amount glowing around his palm...he clearly didn't have it anywhere near mastered, but he was making some progress...it was all something he had done before...just that this time, he had to focus it into something besides his zanpakutou...

Kaosu sighed, walking over to a more open part of the library, opening the book that he saw was in front of him. A kidou book, by the looks of it. Opening it, he flipped randomly through a few pages until he found a basic hadou.
"Happaji..." Kaosu murmured, setting his feet on the base of his chair, sitting down on the thin back. " Hallowed fields and rotting dreams...release desire. Transgressions repaid...go forth and rend. Hadou no Ni...Happaji."
He repeated it a few times in his head, looking back at the book whenever he couldn't remember a part of the chant. Finally sure it was in his head, Kaosu set his hands in front of him.
"Focus your reiatsu..." Kaosu murmured, diverting some reiatsu to his palms. But, instead of starting a ball, he kept it built up there. Looking at the book for a second, he brought his hands together. A fizzy feeling spread through his arms as the reiatsu-filled hands connected, and as Kaosu brought them out, he began the chant. "Hallowed fields....and rotting dreams, release desire..." The reiatsu solidified between each finger, forming five white strands. But, they snapped easily, ending the chance he had for completion.
Kaosu growled. Kidou wasn't his strong suit, so he'd have to work a little harder.

Rei let loose a sigh through his nose, watching Kaosu excel so early on a higher level of Kidou. With a shake of his head and a long stare at his own hands,he got up, picked up his book, and went around a bookcase. " Damnit....Whats wrong with me? This rage.....this feeling of...idle insignifigance covering...covering...."
"...Your real power?...C'maaaaahn, scarface.....whats this depressed envy crap? Your misplacing yourself and your energy left and right."
"Noo.....not you again...go away.." The boy clutched his head, closing his eyes as they shook and cringed, a tiny bead of sweat condensing on his left temple, his Spiritual pressure increased a bit.
"Bah...fine, I'll leave you to practice your little kidou spells....heh..waste of time.....and your not even planning to practice a Hadou...are ya?...whatever..."
The boy heard a haunting whisper of a breath, and then his body cooled, and relaxed. "huuuuuh....its gone....hadou.....not with my....this reiatsu..I don't care if it does take something of a captains level......it...scares me.......now...this one looks like it won't get outta hand too easy like a hadou can....some kind of barrier....and this one...the most basic healing spell...just hope I can cut it......now...." Rei opened his eyes and began to regulate his breathing letting his reiatsu flow rather freely, which seemed to tame it slightly "Its so...unruly.....maybe I've been going about it the wrong way....oh yeah, the stance....how about the barrier first....doesn't seem like I can waste any energy unless I succeed in doing it...."

Kenji listened and watched the others take off, and begin their training it was a good thing Kenji had practiced before she arrived, she was indeed strange, he sighed and grabbed a book looking for Kidou to practice and learn.

::Medixia sighs and shakes her head. Shunketsu seems determined to try Ranboukaze through trial and error. It's not exactly an efficient manner, but it could get results all the same. She'd rather read through the manner of collection and distribution a few more times before even attempting it. The chant for this hadou is rather simple. Hadou no Ichi, Ranboukaze. You'd think they'd add something like 'monkey breaths' just to make it a tad harder. She almost giggles at the bad joke. At least she can tell why learning a kidou would be a far simpler matter than mastering it, at least at later levels. She heaves a breath as she responds to Shunketsu.::
You can't master what you don't understand. You're letting your reiatsu flow too wildly, almost like you're trying to grasp it too tightly.
::When she hears a small voice call out the full chant for Ranboukaze, her eyes flutter in that direction only to see what she'd half expected. That child is something else. With a flick of a finger, she points towards Hikari with the obvious intention of grabbing Shunketsu's attention.::
I think she's got the theory down pat. We have some catchin' up to do.

Kaosu sighed, bringing his hands together again. Diverting the reiatsu into a stream through his hands, he paused. "Hallowed fields and rotting dreams...release desire. Transgressions repaid...go forth and rend. Hadou no Ni...Happaji." He brought his hand apart, the reiatsu-heavy air between his palms solidifying to form strands across his fingers. Kaosu smiled, slowly bringing his palms together.
Once his fingers touched, he pressed the rest of his hands together, feeling the energy pulsing on his flesh. He brought it to his side, as the book asked him to, and let his left hand off the ball. Pushing the ball out and away, he broke all concentration; of course assuming that it was all done with. The force of the broken ball of energy sent him flying off the chair, landing on the flat of his back. He coughed, hopping up quickly in the hopes that no one saw him.
Crap that's embarrassing. Wish I had a better grasp on this stuff...

Haruko nodded her head, looking down at her hands. "Yeah... I think I'll try the reiatsu ball again before I move onto anything more serious, though..."

Haruko let her reiatsu flow naturaully into her hand, where she held it until a ball started to form. However, for some reason she just couldn't muster the power to form it together, and the whispy ball of reiatsu simply dissipated.

Haruko shook her head, and took a deep breath. "I must be a little tired from my training earlier... But I've got to keep trying." She said, more to herself than anyone else, but nonetheless out loud.
(Kidou: 2 cool
This time she was able to mold the reiatsu she had formed into a tight ball, and she smiled to herself. She was happy that she had been able to do it, even if it wasn't until her third try. She turned towards Hikari, beaming. "Alright, I did it! Now can I try what I've been studying on you, Chibi-san? It's only a binding technique, so even without the barrier-thing you couldn't get hurt..."

Hikari watches Haruko in her attempts to form a ball of reiatsu. Even if she is watching, she still manages to keep practicing herself. She concentrates on her reiatsu, in much the same way as the ball exercise, by drawing reiatsu and air to her palm. As she does this, she notices how much easier it is to flex her reiatsu around, and the spiral grows slightly. She glances it for a moment to see how quickly she can condense the spiral of air into a fairly tight ball. When Haruko calls out to her, she looks up. All the while, she doesn't lose a step on her training. She manages to keep her concentration on the hadou enough to keep it restrained and ready for the next part. "Neh? Considering the barrier, it might not even affect me, Poku-chan." "Not to mention that I have more reiatsu..." She knows how bakudo work. She's already halfway to learning how to properly use the first two already.

Before Haruko can respond, Hikari decides to try our Ranboukaze one more time. She has a feeling she's just about mastered this hadou. As she condenses the reiatsu-heavy air as much as she can, it begins swirling fluidly over her palm. As she brings her hand to her side, she can feel just how concentrated it is. "Hadou no Ichi, Ranboukaze!" She's careful about how she says it and how she thrusts her arm forward. She blinks as it leaves her hand, pleased to note that it didn't feel like it was over taxing her reiatsu. With a nod, she figures that's mastered, so she can easily move onto bakudo with Haruko.

"Alrighty then, chibi-san!" Haruko said, and placed the first two fingers of her right hand on Hikari's forehead, going over everything the books said in her mind. "Bakudou no Ichi, Sai!" She said firmly. There was a loud popping sound, and a cloud of smoke poured out of her hand. There was a thud as Haruko fell to the ground, but everything else that happened would be impossible for anyone else to tell what was happening due to the smoke, and Haruko herself was a little confused. When the smoke cleared, Haruko was on her knees, both hands behind her back. "Ehhhh... I think I did it wrong, Chibi-san..." She said, trying to pull her arms free, her face turning red from her struggling.

Rei huffed as he stanced with his legs apart and his hands spaced apart, dangling overtop of one another. "Ease it into your hands and try covering something with it ....." He mustered enough of himself, becoming collected to a point. The reiatsu the began to form between his hands was creepy to say the least, strands of reiatsu flowed around his hands like spectres of darkness, black as pitch. "No....something calmer...protective....c'mon." He started to sweat as he concentrated harder, beginning to go back to forcing it to his will rather than just help it along and guide it as his patience ran thin.

Hikari can only blink as Haruko...fails miserably at attempting a bakudou. Maybe it really was too early. Hikari squats down so her knees come up to her chest while she rests on the balls of her feet. As she wraps her arms around her shins, just below her knees, she wonders how she might best figure this situation out. "A bakudou might be too hard... You can't just force your reiatsu... With a hadou, you only have to manipulate your own. With bakudou, you've got to arrest your opponent's too." She nods as she thinks back to her shikai training. There were two bakudou she used, because any hadou beyond Ranboukaze simply were beyond her level at the moment. They both involved catching the opponent off guard and twisting their reiatsu against them.
She thinks about this for a moment as her eyes shift to the ceiling, and she places a finger to her chin. "You might want to learn what it takes, first. For example..." She pauses as she stands up. "...manipulating your own energy comes first." She begins focusing her own reiatsu into her fore- and middle- fingers. "As you approach your target, try imagining a knot being tied, only with their reiatsu." As she says this, she even begins concentrating on Haruko, her reiatsu and specific pulse.
