Few things in this world are 100% proven, Wraith. Frack, I'd hazard to say NOTHING in this world is 100% proven as the methods of proof themselves are prone to error and falsities. Question should moreso be 'is there so much evidence that this is proven beyond a reasonable doubt?' For evolution, the answer is yes. That's why it's a theory, not a mere hypothesis or educated guess.

The way I've learned it is that evolution is a fact, and that the way it happens is a theory.
And that's what I agree with.

I believe in evolution, as it makes sense. Many of us Wiccans believe that everything is connected, so if everything is connected, maybe everything, plant and animal, evolved from one creature, so we are all truly related. This is just a theory, of course.

I believe that we were originally created by the gods, but we evolved ourselves until we reached our current status. I combine my scientific beliefs and my religious beliefs until it makes sense to me. That's what a lot of people do though...
But there are still a few evolution-related thing that I'm questioning; (Assuming my theory is correct, which I'm not saying it definitely is; it's just what I believe.) At what stage of evolution did the gods create us? Did they create us as single-celled organisms, or were we further along? Did the gods help us evolve at all, did they point us in the right direction? Or did they just create us (however far along we were) and leave us to evolve on our own? Answer with your opinions.
Oh, and I sort of thought evolution was one of those things that's accepted by practically everyone in the science community, but there's no solid was of proving it. Like the Theory of Continental Drift. Practically everyone I know in the science field agrees with that, but it's still classified as a theory because it's really hard to solidly prove. I dunno, though. I shall look into it.

I guess I believe in evoloution [I know I do, but at the same time I don't...?] but I also believe in creation [and yet I don't agree with it...?]
It's quite difficult to explain, partially because I have not yet attempted to put it into a worded form.
As I'm not sure how to explain it propperly, I will use an example... this is a poor example, but easiest to get my point across. I will be comparing us to a science experiment...
The theory of the "Big Bang" to me is the comparison of a deiety having an idea to create something, wether it be out of curiosity, boredom, or whatnot. For the sake of my metaphor, this God/Goddess is a child who is completly alone. Now if you were a child like me, you would like to create habitats for bugs in little plastic containers, add different bugs or plants, take some away, watch what they do and how they change.
Back to the "Big Bang", where the child has the idea to create things and first begins to find the nessicarry things to create inviornments. The earth is just one of those many plastic containers. We are those bugs and plants the child gathered. Now we do change on our own and respond to any new additions to our enviornment, but the child can always take out things, kill things, let things die, let things thrive, ect. And if one day the child thinks "what was I thinking? I don't like how that turned out..." the child could simply kill of the life and nearly start over [via the extinction of dinasaurs].
I realize that is a poor example...
Simply, I believe their is a divine power who started all that is, I believe that divine power/powers can change enviornments as it wishes, but we have control over what we personally do, and evolve as the power lets us.
Sorry about the lengthy post Dx I'm tired and can't think straight....
