Wilson leaned solemnly against the back of the elevator. It was almost hard ot believe that all hope of a relationship with House was pointless. This must have really been it, no turning back. The kiss must have been a shot of emotion coming from House, or just a spur of the moment type of thing. Heck he could have just been curious to what kissing a man was like and with Wilson being gay he knew it would not have pissed him off. After all, he did say he was expecting Wilson to react like he would have and it seemed the way a straight man would act. Besides, after Stacy and now Cuddy, how could House possibly have feelings for him? He laughed softly, thinking he must have been an idiot to think House would be gay just because he was. Not only could he possibly not compare with Stacy worth wise, but he didn't possess the parts that pleased House. So it was finished, there was no hop, House must have been straight.

The door opened and he slowly walked into his office. Looking around at everything left the way it was before he left. All the X-rays made him uneasy, remembering how he sorted peoples lives from fatal and normal. The thought of him being in control of that made him sick, so rather then eat as his desk, he sat on the couch. Opening the box he began to pick at his food. The clock read that he still had a few moments to eat before work. House would not leave his thoughts though, almost as annoying as House in real life. He could not keep thinking like this about his straight friend, he had to stop feeling this way. Now apart of him became angry at House for doing it, showing him a sample of what he would never have. But he could not stay angry, it was useless and he didn't want House to be right and him actually getting pissed.

"I just have to forget about it...I have to get a boyfriend." he stated simply as he continued to eat.

((What better way for Wilson to try and forget his problems then by getting in a relationship xDD))

House grabbed an apple and headed to his office. He got to his office and sat in his desk, kicking his feet up on his desk. His mind wondered to Wilson, what was going through his mind? Could he just ask him? Would Wilson tell him if he asked? He picked up the phone in his office and put it back again. Wilson probably was busy and was trying to forget about what happened. House sighs, he wanted an excuse to call up Wilson. He looked at the papers on his desk, it had his new patient's charts and information. By the syptoms it was clear that it wasn't cancer, Damn.

He laughed to himself, it was to the point that he hoped for a patient to have cancer. To occupy his hands so he wouldn't reach for the phone, House started to play with a rubrix cube. His mind called out to Wilson, willing him to come to his office. Sometimes House wished he was psychic, so he could get others to do his bidding without questions.

((Keigo gave us permission to take over as Foreman and Cuddy^^))

Cuddy stormed down the hallway, the clicking of her heels warning others to get out of the way. Seeing Foreman rush past her, looking distraught told her House was not here. Usually when she had this look on her face people knew what was on her mind, House had done something yet again. Nurses watched her and laughed after she had past. One thing that made it fun coming to work was seeing Cuddy and House go at it. She took a quick glance outside, spotting his bike before she headed for the elevator. House would wish he just stayed home today after she got done with him. After pressing the button, she tapped her heel impatiently as she waited.

"You better be doing your job now House." she huffed before slipping into the elevator once it opened.

As the doors moved to reveal the floor of Houses office, she made her way to the door. Through the glass, she could see that House was sitting there and he seemed to be relaxed enough. Though she didn't bother looking at his expression. Opening the door to his office, she stood in front of his desk, giving him one of those looks wondering how she dealt with him.

"What's the update on your patient?" she asked, seeing if he had been here at all for the past few hours.

((Cool))

House looked up from his rubrix cube, "Huh?" He loved the look of irratation that she got with him. "Oh right, the patient." He smiled a grin that clearly stated that he had no idea, "From what I have on my desk it seems that she could have Vasculitis." He said looking at the charts and back up at Cuddy, but not back at her eyes. There was another part of the anatomy that House loved to inspect on Cuddy. She always wore a shirt that gave him a pleasing view.

"I mean the symptoms are all there, a fever, wieght loss, certain aches and pains that can't be pin-pointed." House knew it couldn't be that easy, it was never that easy but he hadn't gotten anything that said she tested negative for it. Of course he had been avoiding Foreman most of the day.

She listened to House, he was one sneaky little b***h. Even when he had no idea, he still seemed to slip through the cracks. Looking at his gaze, she followed it before buttoning up her lab coat. Even if it was perverted, him cracking jokes amused her. One thing that House had going for him was that he was never boring, she suppose that's a reason why she never fired him. Sighing, she focued back on his gaze, hoping it was actually meeting her eyes now.

"Your time was punched in late..come in on time tomorrow or you will have extra clinic duty. Which you still owe me a few hours of it today." she stated with a grin.

Clinic duty always wiped the smile off of Houses face and she loved watching that happened. It was a symbol to show that she was victorious. Everyday was a new game for them, made this profession more bearable. She began to wonder where the rest of his team was, all of them had seemed to be late besides Foreman. Though she trusted that Foreman was actually doing his job, she wondered about Chase and Cameron.

House's smile turned into a snarl, "Do you enjoy making my life even worse then it already is?" He loathed clinic duty, it meant he had to deal with people. He didn't have the people skills necessary for it, he didn't enjoy dealing with the commomn riff-raff that came to the clinic. He looked into Cuddy's eyes with a piercing glare.

"I think you enjoy watching me suffer, is that it? Do you like to punish me Cuddy?" He grins slightly, "Oh, Cuddy I've been a bad boy." His voice was thick and dripping in sarcasm as he looked at her. His eyes had a daring look, but daring her to do what was her guess. There was a hint of things to come in his gaze.

But as soon as he thought of her that way, Wilson came to his mind. He began to wonder if Jimmy would punish him. He got a distant look in his eyes, much like when he had to many vicodin. He tried to get the thought of Wilson out his mind.

Cuddy just smiled back at him, never taking that glare seriously. House couldn't always get away with being taken as a threat, if so this hospital would be in chaos. Besides, most of the time he would follow up with a sexual comment and of course now was no different.

"I only punish you when it's necessary, if you didn't skip hours or weren't late every other day you would have less to worry about." she replied.

She chuckled at the comment, though it was a more of a 'not on your life' chuckle. That was not entirely true, House was charming and had his attributes that made him attractive, but when you worked with him for so long it was unlikely you would get intimate. Work gave her enough of House for a lifetime. Slowly she notice his eyes glaze over, either something was bothering him or he was abusing the pills again. Just to keep it safe, she didn't bother to ask, it was not as if he would tell her if something was bothering him anyway.

"Just put in a few before you leave tonight." she stated.

Though she looked a little concerned, she allowed House to be alone, giving him some space as she walked out of his office door. If she failed to keep an eye on him, he may put off the clinic and just sneak out for the night. Unless something came up with the patient, he would be putting in at least three hours. Hopefully his team and himself would get back on track before they all went home for the night.

House grumbled to himself, he knew that if he didn't get on his job Cuddy would ride him. He got up with a strain, he had to use his cane to get up. The pain overtook him for a moment, he stood with his eyes closed for a moment. He had to grit his teeth, he reached for his vicodin. His bottle was running low, he would have to get more soon. House began to walk out of his office and down the hall to find his patients room. He knew it had to be more serious then the previous guess, or else he wouldn't have her as a patient. He almost wished for a lackey to appear and give him the update.

He would look for Foreman aftwerwards, right now he had to inspect the patient for himself. The patient laid in bed asleep, she had an almost peaceful look about her. He observed her and checked out her chart, he would have woke her to speak to her but he wasn't in the mood for questions today. Or was it tonight already, he sighed, he knew it was late afternoon, he had let the day slide by. He observed the results of some of the more recent tests, She didn't have the rashes that were common of vasculitis. What could he be over-looking? What did she have?

He sighed and placed the chart back, hobbling towards the clinic. He couldn't do much without his team, he could only think and dwell upon it and come up with ideas. He had a magnificent mind but it was one of the only things he was gifted with. He had made it to the clinic and snarled slightly, he didn't want to be here but at least it would get his mind off Wilson.

In alphabetical order, Wilson went to all of his patients. Some in relief shook his hand, others who broke would hug him. It was hard, but if he was too compassionate, he would never survive in the profession. In ways, he had to be cold, but that didn't mean it never hurt or it never got to him from time to time. The hours came and went, it was starting to get dark outside of his window. He was reviewing one of his patients that had recently checked for her progress in chemotherapy. So far she had been doing well, the cancer seemed to be less active then before. Once he was finished reviewing, he tossed the file aside and leaned back into his chair.

He was exhausted and it was not all due to working. The day as a whole took a toll on him. All he could think about was what he could do to get his mind off of House. Now, it was a strain to try and keep him away for a moment. Before it was easy to push aside, but what could he do now. All he could think of was finding a boyfriend, that usually kept his mind off House. Where he could find one was the problem, there was no one else he was really close to at work. There was the option of going to a bar, though it would not be the normal bars he was use to visiting. Just the thought caused him to rub his nose in frustration.

"I can't go to a gay bar...but...what other choice do I have?" he asked himself aloud.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 22, 2008 4:38 pm

"Oh come on, what did you expect it to be?" House said while rubbing his temples, "You said it started to act up after you saw the woman, did you think it was a rash?" He shook his head, the man he was seeing was denying having a venereal disease. "Look I'm going to write you a prescription and you can either abide by it or not." House wrote out the prescription and guided the man out. He was going to go home for the night, he had checked on his patient and served a few hours in the clinic.

He sighed as he went to grab his coat from his office, his eyes were so tired. He couldn't seem to concentrate, yet he was going to drive himself home. He didn't have much of a choice, it seemed that Wilson was now avoiding him. He wrote out a note for Wilson and began to walk towards Wilson's office. He stopped at the door and taped his note to it and then walked towards the elevator. He was going to stop by Cuddy's office to say that he had served his sentence.

The note read:
Dear Wilson,
I was going to invite you over tonight, I had rented a few classic martial arts movies. Y'know the ones that are badly dubbed in english. But you seemed to want your time alone. So I'm going to go ahead and head back to my apartment, have a nice night. See you tomorrow.
Your amazingly intelligent and gifted friend,
House.

Wilson rubbed his temples, he really didn't want to spend the night at some bar, but it would be the only way to get his mind off of House. Not that he truly wanted to, but it would destroy the friendship they had now, especially since he knew House could not feel like that way for him. His chair fell forward as he looked outside, no longer was the sun over the mountains. It was time for him to head home, or to the bar, a rather empty evening. Looking over to his door, he could see a form moving away from it. His brows narrowed, trying to get an image of the person who was moving in a rush past his room. He spotted a backpack, only one person he knew wore on.

"House..." he whispered before getting up.

Why would House just come by to stand in front of his office and then just rush off? By the time he opened the door, the elevator was closing on the left hand wall, just missed him. Looking next to him, he saw a piece of paper sticking to his door by a single piece of scotch tape. He plucked it from the door and read it, his eyes softening as he read on. House thought he was avoiding him, where did he get that idea? Suddenly he recalled lunch, rushing off to work like he did and now sitting alone in him office. He sighed heavily through his nose as he stared back down the hall. Though he was wanting to be alone at that second, he was not intentionally avoiding House. Just because he was feeling this way, he was not planning on letting it destroy their friendship. All he needed was a boyfriend to keep his mind off of loving House and just loving him as a friend.

He stared back at the note, laughing as he read over the choice in movies again. That sounded better then being around a bunch of horny men who thought with their smaller head. Besides, why did he want to go there anyway, other then the obvious? He had only came out recently and only to one person, he could not go to a bar when he was not even comfortable with the fact himself. Quickly, he placed the note in his pocket and grabbed his brief case. After he locked his office door, he hurried down the hallway. If he was quick, he could still catch House, well he probably didn't really have to rush. After all, House could not be that hard to catch up with. Even if he did, he could drive over to his place, hopefully not being denied at the door. Either way, he just wanted to avoid going to an empty home or an empty bar.

House was thinking of stopping at Cuddy's office to tell her he was heading off but decided against it. He went to the first floor and got off, he limped towards the door leaning heavily upon his cane as he had been doing all day. He made it out of the glass doors and nearly stumbled when he got outside. His vision was blurred and his pain was emmense and he leaned against the wall of the hospital.

His eyes were closed as he tried to work past his pain, once he seemed to recover his balance, he walked to his bike and put his bag on the back. He leaned upon his bike and sighed, it was going to be a long drive home. He knew it wouldn't be wise to drive home but he had no choice in the matter. He had been hoping to ask Cuddy for a ride but he didn't want to appear weak.

((xDD well when we go to the next day we will allow Chase to catch up. I want to get drama going with those three xDD Plus I cant wait to watch House pester Chase when he gets an attitude with him like we talked about xDD Sorry if the post is weaker then normal, I only have a few moments before I go to school.))

Wilson walked out of the elevator once it reached the bottom floor. Quickly he checked himself out of work and headed for the parking lot. Outside it was silent as a chilly breeze filled the sky. He looked through the parking lot, wondering where House was. It was shocking how quickly he made it out to the lot. Maybe he should just go to the car and meet him there. Suddenly he spot House next to his bike, hunched over, his eyes filled with concern.

It wouldn't be safe for House to drive while in that much pain. This was the perfect excuse to get over to Houses apartment. He walked over toward his friend and stopped just behind him. Hopefully House would not be embarrassed if Wilson saw him this way. Pain filled him while he watched his friend, wanting to look strong as he laid hunched brokenly over his bike.

"Want a ride?" he asked softly.

House was breathing heavily trying to relax, he was trying to ease the strain out of his muscles. He looked up at Wilson with his clouded blue eyes, "Ride?" He tried to straighten up and he winced. He leaned on his cane, "Yeah, a ride would be nice." He smiled and tried to look like his cocky and arrogant self. "So you know this means that you'll have to give me a ride to work too."

He hated that Wilson saw him like this, but he was glad it was Wilson and not anyone else. House did love Wilson and he knew it when he looked at him. Maybe Wilson loved him too, but was it pity love. He could see it in his eyes. House frowned slightly, could he deal with pity love from Wilson. He shook his head slightly to clear his thoughts, Wilson just liked him as a friend.
