Daemon the Sword

That would be good, besides it would be more useful to use too to start a map.

Daemon replied back, thinking it was an excellent idea.

To us and to others, Gion agreed cheerfully. Who knows? Maybe I can make it a comission from someone at the palace at Chanson'deau and get paid for it.

He chuckled his silent chuckle.

Well it is a thought, and it would be nice to see what's up there for once. Who knows, maybe you can name some landmarks, now wouldn't that be fun?

Daemon had read and been all over, but no where really knew, so the idea of naming something would be interesting to him.

If there's anything to name, Gion chuckled. The mountains are already named, and as far as I - or anyone else knows, the rest is pretty much flat.

He flipped his hair out of his eyes and pushed some tree branches out of his way.

Good thing I've learned how to tell distance where everything's flat and there's nothing to tell by, he added as an afterthought. Though there are some tools I'll be needing then.

You never know... there could be things people didn't really look into...
Daemon replied a bit more excitedly than usual.
PostPosted: Fri May 11, 2007 10:10 pm

Not to mention, Gion added eagerly, that if no one else has gone there simply for the sake of exploring, then there's likely quite a bit that has never been seen before ...

And suddenly he was aware of the awesomeness of the task he had decided to undertake.

Thirty thousand years ... and he would be the first to see some of those places.

Sounds like something to write about.
Daemon chuckled at the thought, the excitement was catching even though he couldn't see and everything was new to him. It also, Daemon felt gave Gion a sense of purpose which was always good.

Gion grinned again.

Maybe someday, he agreed. But not until I eventually settle down. Pretty hard to write while traveling ... just mapping will be difficult enough.

He really hoped he could get the tools he needed in Chansond'eau. Aunt Amalthea and Uncle Eregon, while of course having everything they could want at their fingertips, would have no use for such tools for themselves, and might not have any ... and of course, the Westland was already mapped, so it was quite possible that he might not be able to find anyone who would have them ...

See if anyone has a notebook... a book with blank pages.. the hard cover will make it better to write on... to at least take measurement notes or notes in general so you won't forget anything.
Daemon replied, since he was use to that kind of hting for his own research, especially with the strange things he tended to track down.

Gion blinked.

I actually hadn't thought of that, he admitted sheepishly. It's a good idea ... I'll do that.

He was just reaching the outerside of the valley, the far side of the mountain range. Now all he had to do was keep a northwesterly direction for a few days, and he would be at the city without a problem.

It's what I do for research, sometimes there are old ruins with runes I've never seen before, so I write it down so I can get to my books later... though... I'm told I have my nose in a book too often.

Daemon paused a bit and added a bit more softly.

It's not my fault I fell down that hole.

Gion blinked. Hole? What hole? he asked curiously, checking his direction against the sun.

Why the one I fell into of course when Yume and I were at these temple runes and I was putting notes into my note book while walking and I fell down a hole.

Daemon replied a matter of faclty, which would worry some people because he made it sound like it was normal to fall down holes and such.

Gion raised one eyebrow skeptically, though of course Daemon couldn't see it.

I take it you have a habit of doing such things? he guessed. Since you make it sound so everyday. What else have you done?

Ermm.... I've ran into posts.. fell through a hidden entrance... twice... things like that.

Daemon replied a bit sheepishly, at least he thought it wasn't as bad as the time he got kidnapped, and nevermind the strange visitors he tended to get.
