Well we dont know if leaked file was from initial playtesting or final one... but I am concerned there wasnt much playtesting at all. Mind you, GK themselves are just another elite costly pointwise MEQ force, they die to massed firepower unless the warding staves are employed en masse and have really 2++ ward. The real cheese begins with crazy combinations of Coteaz and henchmen. For melee combo of death cult assassins with crusaders is just crazy, for shooting warrior acolytes with jokaero help are nightmare. 7 points stormbolters or 14 points plasmaguns in near infinite numbers? all packed in dirt cheap Chimeras? with possible 12" of extra range or rending? One character I actually like very much is Valerie, she is ultimate character killer capable of basically one-shotting most characters on 4+ without any saves. Even mighty 4 wound special characters are removed from play on 5+. Plus her fluff as artifact collector is quite nice one, Lara Croft in space razz

From what I recall, inhouse play testing is done with odd point values that make no sense, non-standard scenarios, ignoring the force organisation charts and with a pile of notes from the higher ups with their brief on what has to sell so that needs to be the most powerful.

The Librarian doesn't really look or feel much like a Grey Knight hero. Plus I think the Land Raider is an older studio model.

It's got: Range of 24" Strength 4 AP -Heavy 6 There's also the option for a Gatling Psilencer, which has the same stats excepts it's Heavy 12 A Psilencer always wounds Daemons on a roll of a 4+ unless the score required to wound would normally be less. * Psyk grenades has random abilities (waiting to hear more) Rad grenades are -1T Blind grenades are defensive The First wave has been confirmed!

urgh, those new models look disgusting. so much for GK getting me back into 40k :/
however, the tech-priest inside my head wants one of those mechs. it looks shite painted silver, but imagine all the armour in Deep Red and mechanicum badges/techpriest replacing the livery/knight... tempting, even if just as a one-off model and not a whole new AdMech army...

ad1 Keldorn!!!! ad2 apothecary on 2 wound squad is sick ad3 personal teleporters, I presume ad4 I'd love to make some of these into Tau army but I dont know how... Grey Knights are almost exact opposite of Tau with melee focus... Every single GK model has power weapon while there are none in Tau dex save Farsight himself...

The Storm Bolters look s**t. Much preferred the belt fed one, these just look silly. How are they meant to replace their rounds with a weapon in their other hand? Make it float in the air while they replace magazines?
