Bradley let out a gasp of shock as Kara yanked him free. He stumbled, Yza's voice loud and insistant in his head, and he ran. He ran like his life depended on it. Because it did. He gave a nod to Abbi as she wriggled free of her coat and followed Kara into the Alcove and to safety.

The Death trainee stumbled in and crashed into Kara rather unceremoniously, his weapon falling to the ground with a clatter. Exhaustion sucked at his limbs and he all but went limp on the poor girl for a moment.

"S...sorry. Name's... Bradley. Bradley Evans. Death... trainee. ********, I hate these things..." he said, drapped over her like a wet noodle.

Maybe it is her training kicking in, especially given that she has spent extensive time in extreme climates and FEAR infested areas these past few years, but Abbi immediately spots a set of white strips. They've honestly been her bread and butter these past few years, almost exclusively since she's made her way to Deus. Bandages that are more than just clean, sterile gauze. Honest-to-god healing instruments.
Even without her coat, of which she has had to fully wrestle herself from the terrible creature that felt it necessary to claim such a small object, Abbi manages to stand proud and (mostly) tall against the shifting sands. Her forget-me-not-blue scarf is indication enough of her dedication to Deus, even if her coat is gone. But that is no matter, especially when she stands and brandishes her scythe in a swirl.

She may be frightened by this area, but the Sahara has to work a lot harder than this to break Abbi.
"I've got rez!" Which, once again, isn't entirely true, but its close enough.

Just kidding, there were worse things to worry about.

It took a minute, despite the titan of a centipede that was now crawling around the sand like that one scene from Beetlejuice that Robert really hated for some reason. It took a minute for him to realize that things weren't actually getting better, but instead much, much worse. It took a minute, because Mimsy's dress had just come off.

In public.

"WHOA whoa whoa whoa now, hold on there." He drawled out, tearing his own coat off his shoulders and putting it around her body immediately. It engulfed her, and he buttoned it up as much as possible before pulling his medkit and bandages out of his pockets. "It didn't hurt you past the dress, did it baby?" He coo'd out, checking her quickly for injuries before kissing her forehead once he was sure she was fine.

Then he turned, dropping to the first fallen Hunter he could find, and ripped open his medkit. He administered every god damn piece of First Aid inside, quickly and efficiently. This was what he was here for, after all.

He felt the whoosh of air when Mimsy was swept up by the centipede, and heard the ripping of his jacket as she was knocked off her feet and disrobed.

"OI." He screamed, summoning Jezebel just long enough to shake it at the Centipede as if he could somehow scare it off. "QUIT IT ********' PERV!"

He dropped to his knees beside her, already unbuttoning his shirt and pulling it over his head in a last ditch effort to try and keep Mimsy as clothed as possible. He brought it around to her shoulders, only to realize there was actually nothing in his hands when he did so.

Because the centipede had ganked his shirt right out from his hands.

"Are you <********' KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?"

"No," she said, upset and frantic. These bugs were dragging her down, making it so the bug got away, got away with another hunter to kill, and Sherry tried to kick but down, down into the sand they pulled and -- Sherry turned as another body showed up next to her. In her fear she thought it might have been another large bug, but it wasn't. It was was the boy - the one she'd seen sitting in orientation, the one she'd helped in that Fog. Oh, no. He was here. Here in this hell and probably going to die, too.

"Run," she said, even as she watched his shaking fingers stick a bandage on her. Too good, too pure for this world. "Thank you," she said, almost instantly feeling better than she had - at least a bit.

"But," her hand reached out to grab his wrist. "You need to run. It's not safe here." You can't die, either. She'd cried enough today, she didn't want to cry over losing another trainee who didn't deserve this s**t.

Sherry shoved the butt of her glaive into the sand, aiming for a centipede. She'd get loose, get this kid to safety, then get the other hunter to safety. She wasn't going to ******** this up again. "We're getting out of here."

On one hand, she was more than relieved to stumble into the cave and see the guy who'd helped her stumbling in after her. But to see Abbi very much not following had her sputtering a little. "Abbi! Grab people and heal them here, don't stay out there!"

And she might have ignored logic to run out and try and help her do that, did she not suddenly find herself somewhat pinned to the ground she was standing on by a weight pressing down on her. "Are you alright?" Though she still held her scythe with one hand, the other was somewhat wrapped around his middle, adjusting her legs to better support this new weight. At least introductions were done.

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet another Death Trainee," she said with a small laugh, glancing down at the bag tied to her sash. "Do you need food? I still have those supplies. The MREs, water... I think the apple's still in there, as well." Unless his problem wasn't exhaustion and was more blood loss, which she couldn't quite tell from her position and returned to the are you ok question.

Okay, she was feeling better now, but where the ******** has Tobin gone? Hadn't he just been right here???

A bunch of small centipedes showed up like they were gonna try and drag her into the sand but Dottie had a NOT TODAY moment and lit them up with the handy little torch gizmo she'd gotten earlier.

Item: 1 runic trap torch - Any small mobs you encounter will immediately be nullified by the torch.

He should his head and slowly detangled himself from Kara to sit down. He ran a hand through his hair and reached to grab Yza from the floor near his foot. Even sitting down, his face still rested somewhere level with her elbows . Good grief this chick was tiny. He could probably cart her around on her shoulders if necessary.

Or for fun. Never know.

"I'm good, still got my own stuff too. God I thought the sarlac pit was bad. This is...." He rested his head against the cave wall and groaned. "It's like the leads like trying to kill us." He glanced over at Kara for a moment.

"You okay? Get bit by anything?" He looked her up and down to look for injuries, but couldn't find any readily visible. Not that he could do much to help, but hey the thought counted, right?
