Phobius simply blinked, expression betraying nothing. "True enough," he agreed amicably, somehow managing to keep a straight face as he added, "but I can't use that doll the same way you can use Harry's. A word of advice, if you plan on linking that doll to Harry like you did mine with Hermione: if Harry wakes up at some point complaining that his head feels wet, I will be having words with you." Yes, he just went there. Naturally, he managed to lace those stressed words with all sorts of innuendo while at the same time keeping a straight face and making sure his little jab didn't register with Harry.
Sure enough, Harry blinked in innocent confusion, not getting it.

"I happen to stick to holding it on occasion; I have enough self-restraint to stick with the real deal concerning my fantasies. You, however, are a hormonal pre-teen - enough said," was Phobius's matter-of-fact comeback.
Harry considered the question a moment. "I don't know; probably," he finally answered, though he didn't sound terribly sure - he didn't have the same amount of experience with Dumbledore plots as Phobius's mother (and by extension, Phobius) did.

Phobius regarded Katherine a moment. "...Fair enough," he decided after a moment, seeming to lose interest in the conversation and returning to reading his book/cuddling Hermione. "Again, though, if Harry wakes up complaining his head feels damp, we WILL have having a talk." This time his tone was slightly more serious, albeit non-accusatory, indicating he wasn't joking but that it was less a threat and more a friendly warning... for the moment, at least.

Diego grumbled slightly, but nevertheless complied, even as Harry followed Katherine. Meanwhile, Confusa leaped off Hermione's lap, the feline giving a teasing little lick and meow to Katherine's kneazle before vanishing into the shadows as per usual.
Phobius, meanwhile, put away his book and got his things, looking over at Hermione. "Yes, 'Mione? Is there something you wanted?" he prompted her with a small smile, wanting to know what she was going to say - he doubted it was "we're here", and if something was on her mind, he wanted her to say it.

Phobius nodded, starting to lead Hermione off the train and into the castle. "True; better safe than sorry and all that," he agreed; of course, there was also the fact that he'd be working on one of his favorite subjects with his girlfriend, so that was a plus, too. "I can mail Mother for any ingredients we can't find." There was no need to rouse Professor Snape's ire by doing something as stupid as stealing from his ingredients cabinet.
Meanwhile, Harry similarly followed Katherine into the castle, blushing slightly from the public hand-holding but showing no indications of moving his hand from where it was anytime soon, much to the disappointment of those Boy-Who-Lived fangirls who caught on to the significance of it.

Phobius smiled slightly to her before focusing on walking, discreetly slipping his hand into her own as he led her into a carriage as well. And if he started holding her hand slightly tighter than was strictly necessary when he caught a few blokes looking at her in a way he didn't like, well, he couldn't help it if he was possessive. And if he pulled her into his lap inside said carriage, well, it wasn't like she was going to complain, right?
Harry was, naturally, completely oblivious to the girls' stares, following his girlfriend.

"I am aware," Phobius agreed amicably, wrapping his arms around her waist, "but that does not change the fact that I will horribly maim any male who so much as thinks of you in a way I don't like, and that if I catch any of them flirting with you, I will steal you and lock you in my room for safekeeping until either we're married or I manage to get a restraining order preventing you and the hypothetical male in question from coming any father than within several kilometers of each other." As per usual, it was hard to tell whether he was serious about that or not... though considering his possessive nature, skewed moral compass, and tendency to go to extremes when someone managed to make him angry, he probably meant every word and had already figured out a viable getaway plan for said kidnapping.
Since they were all in the same carriage, Harry managed to catch wind of the second part of that statement as he got in. "Er... first, I think the word you're looking for is kidnapping, not stealing, and second, isn't that illegal?" he pointed out warily.
"No, the way I intend to carry it out, is is certainly stealing," Phobius informed his friend matter-of-factly... and indeed, his expression indicated he did not care about the legality of the hypothetical kidnapping/"stealing" situation.
Meanwhile, Hedwig was similarly flying over to the castle to wait for her boy.

Harry blinked owlishly, this having been the first he heard about girls besides Katherine focusing on him.
Phobius considered the idea. "...All right, but if they flirt with her anyway, I'm still going through with stealing her, and if they try love potions, I'm going to drag her to the tallest, most secure, isolated, and male-free tower I can find, lock her in there, and have Mitis guard her," he decided.
"Why Mitis?" Harry noted, baffled.
"Because he's the closest thing I can get to a Hungarian Horntail. Besides, where he goes, that Scottish Firespawn generally follows, which means double the protection against any would-be suitors who aren't me," ...Yeah, he really needed to tone down the possessiveness.
As if mentioning her name had summoned her, Confusa slipped up behind Disiceri, lightly nipping his ear playfully with the feline equivalent of a smirk on her face.
