Finally! She was able to fire a shot that cleared enough space in the chaos for Heidi to run through it. It was like parting the red sea! Ha! Victory is Heidi's. He had to admit learning about how to properly dance and how to talk to people seemed rather boring but he imagined that it would have been rather useful thing to know even just a little bit. Like he could have used learning how to talk to people to get other people to comply to doctor request instead of bickering every time with them. As for dancing, he liked to think he could dance or at least well enough not to look like a completely idiot. As she whispered a little about her past he got the feeling that she didn't like to talk about nor let anyone know. Secrets he could keep them, anything she would say only he and Kasi would know, and well Kasi couldn't tell anyone. Cruise ships being the norm? It must have been an extravagant life, but by what he could understand it was sort of a gilded cage where she was only permitted so much, but that was his assumption. "Training would be great. Really I need it. I mean I can do some healing here and there or at least what I know in treating but actually hitting things not so well," Matt replied remembering the last mission he hid. Really just hid in a tent for it all before being shoved away into some portal and missing the action. He looked back at the food again and then at some of the other guest around the table. Something had happened with the tablet, something was wrong. It got very wrong, as the waiters started to turn and insects started to pour in. Knocking the chair back as he got to his feet, Matt pulled the necklace back off his neck letting it turn into the spear. A mob of insects and waiters insisting help rained down. What. Heidi scrambled to apologize to the angry Mist leader, having had no idea what she had been doing. It was an accident! Honest! Her division? Um..it was hard to tell! Everyone was everywhere and-- OHGODWHATWASHAPPENING! She was shoved back and found herself stuck in the spiders and crew zombies again. Great. To be honest, Ryan was shocked to get a bandage from the Life Lead. Of all the people--excluding Caelius, he was the last person he would expect help from. Though it was very much appreciated.

Roland only watched in horror as the shot flew true, but the barrier back fired. Maybe it was her fear, maybe it was his, but some how all the chaos back lashed and struck Kat as well.
"S-s**t s**t s**t that wasn't ********, ******** Sylvia dammit you can't hole a charge and screw it up like this."
He reached into his pack tugging out a roll of runic bandages wrapping them around Kat's wounds.

The venom from the multitude of bug bites Evan had suffered was starting to kick in, making him dizzy and sluggish. It took significantly more effort to swing Gir than usual, even though the blade itself cut effortlessly through the tip of the massive spider leg in front of him. As it retreated, he was finally able to see Gnat and Peyton through the chaos. He stumbled over to them, trying to keep himself between them and the enemy despite his own sorry state. "Okay?"

With Roland's help, she felt a bit of her strength return to her. "Okay, okay, I'm up, thank you." Shakily, she aimed a shot for the creature, but instead almost hit a certain division lead. "s**t.." Bracing for the inevitable, Kat took the blow from Caelius as best as she could, but was knocked back. "Well.. I guess its a good thing that didn't hurt" Her words were dripping with sarcasm as she stared down the death lead.

Kat would find a familiar red glow surrounding her. Clearly Ryan's attempt at healing her actually worked this time, giving her a large boost in energy, as well as mostly closing up any serious wounds and healing smaller wounds entirely.

Jake was... really glad he had not eaten. Between zombie/undead waiters and giant billion-legged insanity (not insanity?) creature that spawned a crap ton of spiders, said meal would have ended up on the floor.
He had shuffled out of his chair, about to summon his... oh. s**t. Though he had his artifact with him and... managed to snag a runic or two, he was completely useless without a weapon. He was so screwed.
"Y-yah, I'm fine..." He kicked away an approaching spider.
He was as good as dead.

He made his way toward that flickering beacon of light, searching the shadows for a raven-haired hunter all the while.

Melvin turned, watching as leads and other hunters dodged, were hit, and sliced at the man limbs of the creature, the voice booming in all directions as it called out it's ship. The entire roof was rattling under a weight as if all the support beams had just disintegrated into nothing.
Looking about, a Mist rushed forward and cleaved a wave before him and then looked up with urgency to fire.

It was creepy, creepy thought of the bugs crawling all over him getting under his shirt. Not that they were really but just the thought of all their little legs eww. Kasi on the other hand was screaming in his head, the bugs she kept screaming how disgusting they where. He wanted to point out to her she was sort of like some strange fairy and that she was basically a bug at that point. Matt had no idea where Tori was in all of the fighting he was sure that she was some where hopefully not being bitten to death and inflicted with poison. Maybe he would catch sight of her through the black curtains of swarms. But there was little time as another wave spotted him and attacked. Stormy couldn't deny the charm of a guy saying something like that right before unleashing a barrel of bullets on a nasty creature. It was very movie-esque, very dramatic, very William Turner on a boat fighting off pirates.
But the battle wouldn't allow her the time it always took to respond to something that touched her emotionally; all she could afford was to reply with a rather fond look that not even the loud blasts could dim.
"I won't say I don't lie, because that would be a lie," Stormy commented as she readied her weapon. "But little ones like the one I fed Miss Candace? White lies? They're fun little things the world needs every once in a while."
Sucking in a breath, Stormy lunged forward and sliced through a tentacle, steeling herself against the urge to run when it erupted into bugs that bit and crawled over her.
