I'm afraid I may not have the time, patience, or inclination to sit and keep track of the number of posts each Ravenclaw has made in the month. What is the purpose of the post count, anyhow? To see who is active, and who is not?

Alutian I'm afraid I may not have the time, patience, or inclination to sit and keep track of the number of posts each Ravenclaw has made in the month. What is the purpose of the post count, anyhow? To see who is active, and who is not? That's what I think. I think that's too confusing. I feel taht if a Head of House after a certain amount of time feels that a member hasn't contributed (posted anywhere) then that person should be put on an inactive list.. .after a few weeks if the member hasn't been off the inactive list then he/she gets banned. I don't know. The elves are easy enough to keep track of in my own way. But... to avoid conflict: I have an idea that i think would make what Angil is saying simplier... But I need to make sure everyone has Excell Does everyone have it?

In regards to Hufflepuff.
Personally I feel for those members who haven't been on since last year: banning. That's the rules anyway. After 3 months if no post is made they are supposed to be banned.

I was unable to contact Tistis and Geo Storm via PM. I'm guessing that they were assumed inactive because of it.
I got replies from Kyrostar and xBaerunx saying that they would be inactive in the guild.
I got no replies from Agent Tanza, redpopsicles, and Dragons375. They were assumed inactive, though I have since put redpopsicles back on the Ravenclaw common room list.
So, that's Tistis, Geo Storm, Kyrostar, xBaerunx, Agent Tanza, and Dragons375 who are currently MIA and not on my Ravenclaw list. Does this help in any way?

Angil: That's how we got our lists over the summer. PMs were sent to every member on the student list, asking about what their status with the guild was. That took a lot of time. Phase 2 began with us PMing everyone on the house-elf list. That list came from KT months ago, and I added the names from the transaction log from where the list left off. The bannings started there. For everyone who didnt make the number of posts (in months) they were banned.
So to me the lists are in order, and I don't know if that's still an issue.
Now this post/activity issue is presenting a problem. I don't know if it stems from confusion or other things, but for me it's definetely confusion. The guild is obviously getting larger. So asking 4 or 5 people to tail 200 or so members each month is crazy.
So what we need is suggestions on how to get this resolved.
I want to present my solution only if everyone has Excel otherwise it's void. It will still take a lot of time. But it will only involve the Guild memberslist.
Personally it seems to me like it's problem after problem all of a sudden. What makes it soo bad is that I thought everything was together for the start of term. So right now any other issues need to be said so that while we are resolving things the issues can be resolved.
I know this post seems a lot like dictating, but it's because I'm annoyed.

Death Dealer Kiana cannot be found because she changed her name without telling anyone, her name is now Maritzu and that name is in fact still present in this guild. When I was prefect, I sent her and Adele PMs at the beginning of...whichever term it was last year, and they never responded so I think its pretty safe to say that both of them are lost causes.
Mellannen's account has been taken over by her sister Eowuclya cause the real Mellannen quit Gaia in November to deal with real life stuff. I doubt she'll ever come back for good but she still pops into the Hufflepuff commonroom every now and then to say hi, so I don't think you should ban her.
Lady Courtney had said last year in September that she was gonna dissapear for a while cause she didn't have time for Gaia. I guess that's still the case.

I agree with Alutian and Icee...it's going to be hectic trying to keep count of all the members post counts and I for one also don't have patience for keeping up with all post counts that were made. Although I think there are solutions to such problems...I think I know where Icee's idea is going with the Excel program and yes, I do have Excel (I've been forced to used it for many things this year whee )

Yeah, I've got Microsoft Excel. Please don't say anything about charts... sweatdrop I don't like that program much. Don't know why. Bad memories of Formal Lab reports, I guess.

Excel is a microsoft program. Its used for lists and charts and things like that.

Okay I don't want this to sound horrible.. but it probably will.
I joined this guild in like 2005ish and left probably a year or so later.. and then re-joined early this year...
I worked my butt off the first day I re-joined to meet the post count sorting requirements so I could get back into the swing of things.
Then I thought maybe I can just start where I left off, so I posted in here asking KT if I can. She posted that, it would be fine because me comming back is proof that I want to be here.
Anyways. I've been waiting all this time to be added to a house list so that I can post in a common room without the fear that someone will ask why I'm there. But this hasn't happened. And then I was pmed finally today by Iceee and she was asking me if I was in gryffindor. < I'm assuming someone finally pmed me because Angil had said I was upset or something.
I'm tired of waiting.. someone just resort me so I can start over and forget all this damn nonsense. I realize keeping a guild is a lot of work... but I'm tired of waiting.
