(((Character development is fun isn't it lol. And no, Streak won't be dying lol, actually his decision changed his fate I do believe lol..)))
Valrein collapsed to the ground his blood staining the parched desert earth. "Take her to Lord Nevar!...And kill the traitor!" shouted Valrien before his eyes clouded over, and his form became still.
Two of the remaining five assassins roughly grabbed Issildia by the forearms and began to make their way towards the retreating army, the remaining three turned on Streak. Two of them wielding twin scimitars with serrated edges, and the third wielding a wicked looking scythe.
The scythe wielding assassin made the first move, his weapon coming in low at Streaks legs...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Issildia was forced to walk towards the retreating Larovian army, the air around them grew cold, to the point that the breath of the assassins could be seen condensing in the air. As the tips of two blades came to rest as the back of the two assassin's necks, the larovians ceased walking. "I don't think the lady wishes to be treated in such a way gentlemen." hissed a voice that Issildia knew all to well. "Luin?"
"Do you want the one on the left or the right brother?" asked a similar but younger sounding voice. "Damien?" Issildia managed to say before the two larovians were torn away and quickly run through by the two Ryera brothers.
As Issildia stood Luin tore the Altherie chain away from her wrists, "What are you doing?" Issildia asked, her eyes narrowed slightly.
"Proving my point..." he said solemnly as his brother Damien finished off the last of the two assassins.
Issildia arched an eyebrow, "I see."
Luin smirked, "Go and deal with the rest of them, I think your friend could use your aid."
Issildia looked to where Streak was now battling the three assassins, she glanced back to where Luin and Damien had been but there was nothing there, only the faint sensation of a chill in the air...
Streak felt the link between him and Reinsen break as he slashed his blade through one of the ones wielding twin scimitars. He then saw the scythe's attack and tried to jump out of the way, but it made a cut in his foot. When he landed he fell and the remaining twin scimitars assasin dived on to him to try and kill him. Streak blocked one scythe and rolled to avoid the other, before plunging his blade into the heart of the assassin. Finally, the sythe wielding assassin took him in from behind, Streak tried to roll, but could not, he tried to move his blade quickly, but he couldn't block it in time. The Sun finally set with the blade coming down in an arc. Time seemed to slow as the blade moved ever closer to Streak's neck.........
((Hmm......quite possible.))
After a long time had passed, the seal in the room glowed a bright red, and expanded. Zeo rose from the seal, his wings covering his entire body, and what seemed to be something else. Once Zeo was fully out of the seal, it became more notieable that he was covered in blood and just from his return from hell had already risen the heat in the room. The seal shattered below Zeo's feet and vanished from the room. Zeo remained still for a few minutes and then suddenly stretched out his wings releasing over a thouasand souls that screamed and went in every direction but remained somewhere in the castle which still remained dead as before when Zeo left. He spoke in a raspy, tired voice " I've finally returned.... Hell is worthless, I barely found anything to suit me.... Maybe someday I'll take over Hell itself..." Zeo laughed in a low tone, and knelt on the floor trying to regain his strength.
As the scythe raced towards Streaks neck there was suddenly a drastic implosion of icy air as Issildia appeared in a swirl of shadows behind the assassin and grabbed the cloaked man by the neck and savagely tore him backwards sending his scythe upwards, just moments before it would have severed Streak's head from his shoulders. As the assassin stumbled back, Issildia released him and in an unseen instant her right palm short forward catching the assassin across the chin. The impact of the precise blow twisted the neck at a deadly angle and there was a sickening crack as the assassin's neck broke , the spinal cord was torn in half at the neck killing him instantly. As he collapsed to the ground the sun sank below the horizon...
Issildia then without a word nodded slightly to Streak, "I misjudged you...forgive me." she said gravely.
"Thankyou." Streak picked himself up. "Argh!" Streak cried as a pain shot through his left foot and his right leg. He was also brusied a bit from his fall. He brushed himself down. "I'm sorry for what I had done. I wish I could change what happened, but the past is untouchable." Streak sighed. He then saw the Lavorian army and how close it was. "I think we have to go before something else happens." Streak looked to the corpses of the Tel'Domeduathea. He saw 3 bodies on the ground surrounding him, then a thought suddenly struck him. "There were 8 in total, 2 took Issildia, 3 fought me and I kill Valrien, the 7th, commanded them before he died. Where is Valrien's corpse?" Streak looked across the blood-stained ground in confusion. Then he shrugged and looked to Issildia.
((And now for my own little plot twist.))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Cruor ut cruor, nex ut vita, animus rebirth." Called out the dark figure. He had the body of Valrien on his hard red stone bench. The room's temperature was so cold that Valrien's hair was white with frost in places. "Suscitatio!" He called out. Valrien's eyes began to flicker. He eyes slowly opened. "W....where am I?" Valrien asked, a slight bit of fear in his voice. "You're in the World of the living, again." replied the dark figure. "Who are you?" Valrien asked. "That question will be answered in time, but for now you must rest. Dieing takes up a lot of energy and you have several fatal wounds on you. If you don't rest you might die again." replied the figure again. "Are you........Morier?" asked Valrein. "Although that isn't my true name, I do on certain occassions go by that name. Now rest. When you awaken you'll have a lot of work to do. You owe me a life debt." laughed the figure.............
Translations: Cruor ut cruor, nex ut vita, animus rebirth = Blood to blood, death to life, the soul's rebirth. Suscitatio = Awaken
((What do you think to that? During my translation I found that the English word, ressurect, comes from the latin word, resurrectio, meaning awaken. Useless info. but still good.))

Issildia only nodded, "We all make mistakes Streak," she said, "But it is not our past actions that we hold others to...for often times the past is far to dismal to reflect upon...thus it is our present and future that we must make worthwhile...you did that today...and I thank you for that." she said solemnly.

Issildia silently lifted up her weapons from where they had been thrown after she had been disarmed and began to return them to the belt at her hips. "He gave me the option on killing my father and retrieving a sample of his blood for some plan of his...or he could kill me and take my own blood..."
Issildia paused as she finished strapping her blade Sumar into place then looked up at Streak.
"I've never been fond of a choice with no middle ground...so I made my own, I fought him and was forced to use one of my more...potent abilities...to defeat him. He then abandoned your body and quite literally you died...Luin Ryera then upheld his end of the bargain and brought you back to the realm of the living"
Issildia sighed, "Now, we must discover where he is hiding and destroy his true body...even then I may be forced to walk him to the final gate in the realm of the dead to ensure that he does not return to this realm in any form or fashion."

Khastur came up in the rickety cot, his head was throbbing and he was heavily bandaged along his torso. A medic looked to Khastur with surprise "You....You're awake! Um....Uh....Oh no...." Khastur's eyes narrowed "Excuse me?" The medic stood up frightened "I mean -- I'm just surprised, I mean the sages were going to come unlo-- heal you, but it would seem that you're allright!...Um-- Praise to the goddess!"
Khastur rose "Oh no you don't, just what the hell is going on here, huh?"
The medic hit the wall as she backed away quickly "D-Don't kill me! I don't want to die! We're just trying to save our-- agh!!" Khastur roughly gripped the medic by the throat, Khastur was nude, he had been stripped so proper attention could be paid to the damage, in case it wasn't all healed-- he thought. He hoped. What was going on?
The medic started to gasp out pleas for help, Khastur lowered the medic so her toes touched the ground. "I was already healed by Issildia-- first things first, why am I in here?"
"Y--you were just unconscious in the sand-- W-we thought you were dead! The woman who healed you left." Khastur lowered her a bit more, showing he would spare her if she talked. "And where did she go?" The medic closed her eyes "I-- I can't tell you." Khastur gripped harder and raised her again, "You are testing my patience." The medic's eyes began to well with tears "There was a fued between her and the man streak, I don't know what of-- she went after the Larovian forces, the man grieved, followed her soon after." Khastur sighed, "I have deviated from my path of questioning-- why am I here?" The woman rocked her head wildly her hair coming undone "I already told you!" Khastur slammed her against the wall "You told me a lie! You best stop feeding me this bullshit before I let things get ugly." The medic's eyes locked with Khastur's "Blood, they want your blood Khastur! Something to do with necromancy, and the Ryerans living in peace again! Only Luin, the clan leaders, and the high sages know." The medic began to weep openly, Khastur let her come to the ground and let her head rest on his shoulder as she continued speaking "I don't want to be tied in all this, many of the forces don't want to be either-- We've seen the destruction of necromancy, no good can come of it, all underlings who stand against the elders' will die, their families die, and mages erase memories of the people who knew the 'traitor', do you remember when you first came to the village? I helped you recover...I wanted to see you kill Nevar...I tried my hardest to save you whenever you were wounded in battle-- So you could kill the sages too-- they'll destroy the planet if you let them." She wrapped her arms around him "Please save the Ryeran people." Khastur held her back "I already swore it...When I first came...What is your name?" She wiped her eyes "Sasarai." He nodded "Allright, I won't let this happen-- don't worry...I'm sorry for hurting you." Suddenly a flap opened in the tent and a robed figure stepped inside "Sasarai, I knew you were getting too familiar with Khastur when he slept, you were making such a ruckus-- Oh...Khastur...A pleasure to see you. Come, you have been summoned to meet with Luin."
Khastur let go of Sasarai and picked up a pole arm leaned on the wall "...I will have no conference with Luin." The robed figure opened the flap wider "I thought you would say as much..." Outside of the tent was twelve fully armed soldiers "Sasarai, when we have finished here, you will be terminated-- say goodbye to your family now, not that they'll remember."

(((Nice Post Gourou. )))
As Issildia and Streak spoke the silence of the desert night was shattered. Though the Ryera camp was little under half a mile behind them Issildia could still easily hear the encampment around the Tower of Vestain come to life. The muffled echoes of soldier's voices could be heard, Issildia already knew that even now, if she returned to the Ryeran encampment she was once again an enemy of the Ryera...Luin would not think twice about killing her now that their temporary truce had ended.
"You have done you part this night Streak, stay here...I want to see what the Ryera do when the eyes of the outside world are not there to see their workings."
Issildia then turned back to the south where the dark silhouette of the horse that she had ridden thus far was standing, probably picking at some desert plant., "Tula sinome." she said in a hushed tone.
The creature's head shot up and turned toward her and proceeded to come to her. In a matter of moments Issildia had swept up onto the creature's back. She would have to get to the encampment by normal means , she did not wish to be discovered now that she and Luin were enemies once again.
"Stay here Streak...It's probably nothing...I'll be back soon enough"
"Rima" she murmured to the destrier, at this the sand colored horse launched itself forward towards the south at an easy canter, that soon became a stout gallop.
Within moments Issildia disappeared into the growing shadows of the night, to return once more to the Ryera encampment...though this time she would have to remain hidden to the Ryera.

The robed figure looked to Khastur "Don't think we wouldn't kill you, all we need is your blood-- why, if you drain all of your blood and give it to us-- then you're free to go!" the man laughed and snapped his fingers, the soldiers behind him brought up arms and came forward. Sasarai fumbled about in place, she wanted to help, but knew it would be pointless. Khastur brought up a hand, he wouldn't give up, he would escape and return here after finishing with Nevar, he would bring down the tower; even if he had to tear it apart stone by stone. A beam burst out from his hand and decimated half the troupe in front of him, a blaring light in the dark dusk. But he heard a rip behind him, looking it was a pike coming through the tent-- soon he would be surrounded. He grabbed sasarai's hand "Come with me, we can make it!" and ran hard out of the tent, smacking the robed figure in the gut with the blunt end of the pole arm. He only regretted not being able to put on some armor at this point... He headed to his tent where there was more soldiers, but they didn't seem like they would attack. When he approached, they saluted. "What are you doing?" Khastur said in amazement; "Khastur Sir, we are fighting to save our motherland, you have no place in this fight-- Now. Go." Khastur had no time and merely grabbed his weapons, slinging the rest of his gear in a pack and running off-- All the horses were out of the pens, as behind him in the Ryera camp the soldiers had raised a coup de'tat against Luin and the sages.

Issildia topped the rise that descended sharply down to the Ryera encampment and was stunned to see the soldiers turning on each other, one group seemed to be a squad of Luin's most prized of warriors and sages, but the other was a group of the foot soldiers that held no blood ties to the Ryera line.
Issildia watched at the mages were held off from pursuing two figures that disappeared towards the trail that led out of the encampment..
"Mallen pelu e' n'alaquel en' sen" she murmured to the destrier that she rode. The horse then dove down the incline and circled down behind the barricade that the foot soldiers had made to hold off the mages. Even so, two of the mages set loose one of their more destructive spells that tore through a group of the foot soldiers in an instant. The two mages hurtled through in the direction that the two figures had fled. Before the mages could go any further Issildia wheeled around in front of them.
"You!" they exclaimed
Issildia's response to their response was the hiss of her twin scimitars being drawn swiftly from their sheaths.
Before the mages could even hope to counter Issildia rode through them the two scimitars fanning out to take both their heads in a single swipe.
She then whipped her steed around to give chase to another mage that had slipped through the barricade. Just as the mage reached that path that lead up the incline that led into the desert where the two figures had run, the sickening sound of a body being run though could be heard.
With a flick Issildia twisted the mage's corpse off of her blade.
"You idiot." exclaimed a masculine voice behind Issildia. In response Issildia turned to face the direction that the voice had come from.
"Damien..." Issildia said with an eerie grin, "I have to say I did not intend on meeting you again this day."
Damien seemed to ignore her words. "The blood of the Second can be used just as easily as that of the First." he said as icy shadows that took on human-like forms rose from the dark earth to align themselves at their master's side.
"You should have never returned Issildia...and now it will be you that dies instead of the other"
Damien motioned forward with his hand, giving the creatures that he had summoned their orders. "Bring me her blood..."
"Another time Ryera" Issildia said as she savagely pulled at the reins to turn the destrier around. As the horse leapt forward to head towards the desert Issildia raised her left hand. "Elea i'dolen!"
Suddenly a blinding light exploded forth, that covered the Ryera encampment in a light that even the sun could never hope to match. But the light dissipated less that a second after it had begun. But by now Issildia was no longer there, Damien Ryera watched grimly as she crested the rise and disappeared into the desert heading in the direction that the First of the Blood had departed to....Damien knew well enough that his brother would be most unhappy with the happenings of this night...

The desert sands were quite cold at night, Khastur winced at not packing some food, but it couldn't be helped he supposed. Carrying the heavy pack on his shoulders, he and Sasarai continued through the desert at an ambling pace, now that they had managed to get out of the Ryera's direct territory it was safer going. Khastur put his hands to his mouth, he didn't think it would work-- but it was worth a try. "Issildia!" nothing now save the chilling desert night, sending sand flowing across the dunes like an ocean tide. "Issildia!"

Issildia easily heard Khastur's shout and within moments she came up behind them slowing the gait of her horse as she came up along side them.
"What happened!?" she asked, "Why was Luin after you...I thought you were on his side?"
