[enter from Werewolf Woods]

Zaine had stayed close behind his Captain throughout the run, now that she had shifted to her human form he came to a halt next to her and looked about at the new surroundings and maintained the same stony countanance Evil sported now, his gold and crimson eyes flashing frequently with a deadly rage and his skin sparking with little arcs of reiatsu dancing upon his white knuckled hands. His muscles tense he remembered all the help and advice his friend Kasen had given him, the least of which not being the assisting of the young shinigami in his shikai training. Gritting his teeth he slowly reached for his zanpakuto, gripping the familiar hilt of the unusual weapon firmly and taking it from its place on his back, holding the twinbladed thing before him he looked to Evil, awaiting her orders.

[Enter from 4th Squad with Ami (she'll post, too ^^)]

Aislinn slowed to a quick trot as she neared the entrance to the Labyrinth. This was a way she'd never come before. For one thing, she'd never have been able to normally gain clearance for an area like this, not when she was so inexperienced. For quite another, Ash instinctively would have avoided the entrance to the arrancar domain. Even the air around it felt cold and unwelcoming. It didn't take animal instinct to tell her that this place was dangerous.

She sensed her Alpha's presence as well as Zaine's familiar scent. She was reminded that their sixth seat was also going to accompany them. She hadn't taken much notice of him before, having been much too focused on the news she had delivered to Evil. Now, though, she appreciated his presence. Any ally would make Kasen's extraction that much more likely to succeed.

As she neared the pair of them, she slid seamlessly into her human form. She could sense the tension in the air, emanating both from Zaine and her captain. Evil contained that tension better than Zaine did, though. Ash supposed it was experience that kept Evil's outward appearance calm and she envied her for it. Ash never hid her emotions. Even now, her own restlessness manifested itself as a slight glow beneath her skin, as if flames flickered just under the surface. Usually she was good about keeping Summer's light out of her skin unless she needed it. Now, though, it was hardly worth checking its fire. She was angry and she didn't care who knew it.

Aislinn nodded to Zaine, giving him as much of a smile as she could muster before turning to address her captain. "Evil-taicho, this is Hateshinai Ai Ami, our healer," Ash said, knowing that Ami was already at her back. "Are we waiting for anyone else?"

[Entered from Werewolf Forest]

Teshu rushed in from the entrance Evil and Zaine had come from with his sword drawn. He saw Evil and the others, he was glad that he had arrived in time. He came to a stop several feet behind them and sheathed his zanpaktou and walked toward them. "You weren't really going to come without me were you guys?" He said in a friendly voice. Even though they were miles apart, Tenshu could feel Otosi. As if he were waiting for him to get out of the labyrinth. "Before you ask, I followed the Captain and Zaine's reiatsu to the Werewolf forest, from there I figured it out on my own." Tenshu was wondering when Otosi would show himself. He knew that when he did Otosi would want to fight him, not the others. This would be good, one less obstacle for the others, but surviving against Otosi would be a difficult task for him. If he could kill Otosi that would be great, if not, at least he would get the others by without an unnecessary fight.

The small medic was quick to follow in Aislinn's footsteps, making sure once they walked out from that Garganta and into Heuco Mundo to always be eyes and ears first. Looking about she was nervous until they finally reached the door into the great Las Noches. Sighing she looked about and felt an odd emotion for this moment. In a strange way she felt comfortable, as if... a feel like she was returning home. Looking about she unlike all the others was not uncomfortable or nervous, but rather confident and at the same time, out of her head.

Refocussing back at the task at hand she looked at the entire group and seen that she was alone with her comfort and slowly she walked up beside the Captain General. Bowing she spoke at a whisper, "Captain General." she stood upright again, and turned the entire group as she was introduced; "Thank you Fourth Seat Aislinn O'Shea." she bowed to her showing a completely different side to Aislinn; the side in which was completely professional. She was unseated and even to make eye contact with any of these members would be disrespectful. So even though she talked each person, she held her gaze at there chest.

Taking a step back into the group she stood at attention beside Aislinn. Looking about calmly and attempting to figure out why she felt this way, was i because of Ishi Riki? Looking down to her sword she simply smiled sweetly at it and loosely fingered the hilt before lifting her gaze back to the entrance. Her eyes shot wide as she remembered the pills she brought along for everyone, and quickly reached into her pack, which out of habit was completely put in order so she didn't need to look inside to grab whatever tool or drug she needed. Taking out enough pills for each person in the group she went around the group and handed them the small white circular orb. It was slightly transparent and pulsed with a dim light. "These." She finished by giving the Commander General the last one, "Are Emergancy Reitsu Pills..." her gaze was still professional and held no emotion, as she met gazes with each person as she explained what they where and how to use them, "Simply pop it into your mouth and chew." her gaze fell to another person, "Within seconds your Reitsu will be replenished, but only for a short time, and you cannot consume more than one without suffering some nasty side effects." She again shifted her gaze, "You'll more or less, fall unconscious." she looked to the ground and added, "and if your lucky, that's all that happens." Of course she over dramatized it a little, but most non-medical warriors simply ignored a medics requests to follow doses if it was given to them gently. Suggesting death was always a good way to open their eyes and use common sense...

When dark reflections dance...

Silent as the grave, Bikou entered the labyrinth, his senses tingling with the sheer glory of the hunt. Each movement of his muscles was patient, calm, a true predator stalking his prey.
Granted, the labyrinth itself was a rather inconvenient obstacle. Getting the girl out through this mess would require a not-to-be-smirked-at sonido. He needed to conserve his energy.
As he neared the area of ambush, he stopped, pressing a hand against he chest and withdrawing his zanpakuto with silent precision. Slowly, methodically, he placed the tip at his sternum in a seppuku position, closing his eyes and splitting his face into a wide smile that would have put a jester to shame.
"Kirakira, Zenhansha." He whispered, thrusting his blade into his chest with a slight crunch. The sound was audible, but he doubted that anyone outside of his direct vicinity would here it.
The liquid silver substance spread out from his blade smoothly, flowing over his form and erasing his features and transforming him into a shining being of silver light. With a silent hop-step, he vanished with a static pop and a slight whoosh in the air, completely vanishing from any of the senses and using a rapid sonido to place himself behind the group, taking note of the new arrival. Perfect.
For a moment, he paused, considering his next course of action. Granted, he had been planning this for some time. But still, having a little fun with one's toys wasn't always a bad thing..
No. He needed to focus. Toying with the shinigami would be fun, yes. But it would also hinder his future plans, and he needed to consider the greater cause when taking actions against such a group. Teasing the wolf-captain would have to wait.
His footsteps fell like the padding of a cat on a soft carpet. Soundless, and full of stealth. Had he a heart, it would be pounding with the anticipation of his next motion, set off in excitement by the feel and smell of that which he had waited so long to hold in his iron grasp.
As he moved behind Ami, he stopped, taking a moment to assess his prey. She felt, strange. As if something was slightly off about her. It didn't really matter all that much though, as his future plans with the girl didn't rely on how she felt. He laughed a little inside at the thought, then straightened. He would need to move quickly, else this next phase of his plan would fail, and send the others into chaos.
Smooth and soft as Satin, his left arm slid around Ami's body, brushing past her left arm and wrapping around her stomach, ending his hand hovering a mere fraction of a centimeter from her right elbow. To the shinigami, it would feel as if a light breeze had just moved by her, caressing her arm as it passed. Stealthy as a serpent, his right arm moved next, slipping past her right shoulder and twisting around to the front of her body, where it moved ever so slowly upwards, ending with his fingers dancing about her neck like butterfly kisses, and his arm pressing ever so lightly against her chest and upper abdomen.
Finally, his face moved forwards, ending with what would have been his mouth positioned directly next to Ami's left ear. Time seemed to stop for Bikou, and he allowed himself a single phrase.
"I have been waiting for you, Ami." He whispered, a slight giggle escaping his mouth at the end of the phrase.
Quick as a flash, his arms tightened, smashing her arms into her sides and grasping her in an iron hug. His right hand wound around her throat, compressing her right and left carotid arteries, and subsequently cutting off her air-supply with his palm. With a final lilting laugh, and a brief static rush, the shinigami vanished, leaving only a small cloud of dust in her wake.

It happened too fast. Or maybe the arrancar was just that good-- Ash would never be able to say. The entrance to the Labyrinth sprawled before them, silent, foreboding. There had been nothing to suggest a threat, no smell or sound or visual cue. And maybe that was the problem. Maybe it had been too quiet, like the calm just before a storm. There had only been the slightest pop, inaudible to human ears, and a breeze that played over Ash's skin. The hand that rested on her blade tightened out of reflex, though she sensed no threat.

And that was when Ami's arms were crushed to her sides, when her throat tightened as though choked off by an invisible hand. That was when Ami vanished.

"Ami!" Her name was the first word out of Aislinn's mouth, but it was a useless cry. She could no longer sense Ami anywhere. Her heart constricted as if the same invisible hand that had choked Ami had reached into her chest and had begun to squeeze her heart. The alarm that registered on Ash's face turned to panic. I can't breathe. It was as though she was paralyzed. She'd lost Ami. Fear made her feel as though she was going to be sick and the color drained form her face, leaving her as white as a sheet.

Just as suddenly, a fiery warmth flooded her chest and panic gave way to rage. She could feel the blood pounding in her temples and her eyes flashed, bright blue and angry. All at once, she forgot about her mission, forgot about Kasen and her Pack and her commander. She phased into her Lycan form with a threatening snarl, adrenaline pumping through her veins. Before anyone had the chance to stop her, she bounded forward into the Labyrinth, disregarding the inherent dangers of the ever-changing maze.

Her powerful form carried her quickly away from the group and into the confusing series of passageways that would eventually lead to Las Noches. She relied upon her superior sense of smell to guide her, moving steadily towards the dry, sandy smell that she assumed to be the deserts of Hueco Mundo and the end of the maze. As she ran, she remained only vaguely aware of the possibility of an enemy attack. Her every sense was bent on finding some small trace of Ami that would lead her in the right direction, but there was nothing-- not a spark of her spiritual pressure nor a hint of her comforting scent. Ash picked up her pace, baring her teeth in a snarl.

Powchii slowly approached the wolf known as Aislinn, "There you are." Powchii whispered to himself. His body floated quickly across the corridors of the labyrinth his light glinting around the corners of the his targets eyes.

"We've found it~!" Genma shouted.

"Hm!" Gekko chuckled as he watched the small wolf trudge through the maze.

"Aislinn~" Powchii's voice echoed through the hallway, "Aislinn~" echoed once more, his voice sounded stagnant and he looked forward to his reunion with the Shinyogo. He was deprived of energy and was slightly angered that the pup ran off with it back at the forest in Karakura.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 9:01 pm

Aislinn slowed down to a steady lope, ears pricked forward as a voice called her name. The sound reverberated through the empty hallways, distorting and and echoing as it traveled. It wasn't the voice of anyone from the rescue party, yet it sounded oddly familiar. Still, Ash couldn't immediately place it. Her pelt puffed out as her hackles rose, making her seem even larger than she was. Ash might have been small by werewolf standards, but she was nearly five feet at the shoulder-- much taller than the average wolf. She wasn't bulky, though. Her muscles were lean and powerful beneath a healthy, silvery pelt that rippled as it rose aggressively.

She came to a stop as she found herself confronted by a sickly-looking boy who seemed to be about her age. He had a sinister look about him and, though his body glowed as though producing its own light, he had a darkness about him that made Ash incredibly wary. She rumbled a warning in her chest.

What do y' want? She demanded, too angry to be civil and too preoccupied with the loss of Ami to attend to him properly or even realize how strange it was that he knew her name. He was an obstacle, slowing her down when she needed to be running. She couldn't stand the thought of Ami alone in Las Noches, not without Ash to protect her.

Powchii shook his head as he took full form in front of the wolf, her figure was rather imposing allmost making Powchii look up to her. "Are you so blinded by the loss of your friend that you don't remember me~?" he held a hand out and gave a smirk, a wave of energy was spread out from it. "Can you feel it~? The energy stirring inside of you." Powchii took a step towards her, "My power, the power that I loaned you, the power you ran off with." he balled his hand into a fist, "I want it back." he said coldly.

"Don't resist." Gekko said.

"If you want to save your friend I'd submit willingly." Genma said.

Powchii hoped to goad her into willingly giving the Shinyogo back to him, he was lucky that the pup was ignorant because if anyone else knew the power the Shinyogo had they'd turn it on him and claim it as their own. Powchii was unaware whether or not the energy actually revealed itself to her or not, but if she pushed herself to her limits it would undoubtledly awaken.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 9:27 pm

Ash lowered her head and snarled threateningly as Powchii took a step forward. She tensed, ready to tackle him and tear his throat out if it came to that. She couldn't afford to waste time. All the same, Powchii's words rang with a hint of truth. Reason fought with the fury that made her thoughts hazy. She remembered this man, now. He was a Bount-- Powchii, if she remembered correctly. She'd met him a long time ago, coincidentally just after she'd met Nera. Or rather, just after Nera had nearly killed her. Powchii had healed her and then Kasen had taken her away.

She hadn't thought much about that day. It had heralded the first of her nightmares, but she had always attributed those to her experience with Nera. Having one's back broken was generally a traumatizing thing, so the nightmares of shadows and red eyes that woke her in a cold sweat were to be expected, or so Ash thought. She remembered feeling a certain heavy power since that day. It was latent, so she thought little of it, taking it to be some side effect of the Bount's obscure healing capabilities.

It hadn't really occurred to her that he would come looking for recompense. His words sounded threatening, but one particular phrase caught her attention and held it. A voice that didn't seem to be Powchii's mentioned 'her friend'.

Where is she? She asked immediately, muscles tensing with anxiety. Where's Ami?

Powchii took one more step forward, "How am I to know~?" he asked taunting the pup.

"Hm~" the two doll chuckled simultaneously.

He shook his head, "What that arrancar planned for her is his deal entirely, it is none of my concern." his words were stern and harsh. Good, she hasn't awakened the Shinyogo. I'll take it now, and replace it with Jes's shadow. . . he edged a bit closer to the pup.

Changing the subject he asked her something a bit taboo for the situation, "You see her don't you?" he asked, "She haunts your dreams doesn't she?" his gaze seemed to pierce te pup. His light aura began to turn black, it's inky tendrils swallowed Powchii's light entirely. "Fall into her will and do as she asks, I guarantee things will be alright," He said coldly as the darkness creeped down the hallway and pawed at the ground beneathe the pup. Powchii was using the shadows he inherited from Jes to place the orb in the Shinyogo's place. He had not known if Aislinn knew who Jes was or not, but if she saw and felt the same things he did she would have a pretty good idea.

"It's over." Gekko said.

"Darkness shall overcome you eventually. It does to everybody." Genma added, her normally girlish tone was cruel and unforgiving.

The darkness had swallowed the hallway, Powchii had made the appropriate requisites in order to make the transferrence.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 10:16 pm

Tell me where she is! Ash growled, lips pulling back to reveal sharp, white teeth. With the way Powchii was taunting her, she felt certain he knew more than he was letting on. She snarled again as he edged closer, feeling an odd coldness wash through her. The corridor in which they stood was getting darker and Ash rolled her shoulders forward, tail standing straight out in a clearly aggressive posture. Powchii had taxed the last of her limited patience.

Just as she poised to spring, he changed the subject entirely. Ash's sharp nails clicked against the floor as she halted her attack. What? She snapped, though she knew what he'd said. How could he know what she dreamed? She'd never told anyone about those nightmares, not Ami, not anyone. Who-- She stopped herself before she asked too many questions. She wasn't about to admit that Powchii was right. What are y' talkin' about? Quit wasting my time, 'less y' know where Ami is. If not, get out a' my way.

Her chest was cold, but she couldn't fathom why. She felt oddly weakened, as though something vital had been ripped out of her. What was Powchii doing to her? The hallway was nearly pitch black and Ash was glad for her lupine eyes that allowed her to see as clearly as though the corridor was still lit. It did little to ease her unease and only served to heighten her anger. She needed to get past Powchii now.

~* Evil Wolf*~

Evil's eyes snapped back and then forth as first Ami disappeared and then Ash ran off. Her lips curled into a sneer, silently cursing the foolish pair for falling into this trap easily, and then herself for not reaching out and snapping the arrancar's neck who had captured Ami. While at the moment she couldn't do anything to help Ami she could sure as hell rein her pup back in. She knew at least a vague direction of where every one of her Pack members were located, it came with them having her blood inside her and a connection that would stay unbroken until permanent death. She used this connection with Ash to reach out. Ash! Goddammit! Stay still and don't do anything or you're going to get killed! She snapped telepathically, the words carrying the weight of her Alpha power.

Then she released her Zaigou, needing it's speed and effectiveness against the Hollows. The symbol etched onto the back of her right hand exploded in a burst of light, her eyes shifting from the usual golden to a deep, deathly black. Glowing black symbols etched across her skin, looking like she'd just had her whole body tattooed. She growled softly, allowing her claws and fangs to grow in but not going any further into her Lycan self. She paused for a moment, listening and getting a better understanding of her surroundings. She could hear the thump of the heartbeats of Zaine and Tenshu, and the faster one of Ash in her Lycan form. And then the scent of arrancar, the cold and dead scent she especially despised in this state. She reigned in her desire to just shred everyone here and turned to survey Zaine and Tenshu. "Follow me and for Wolf God's sakes don't get behind, I don't want anyone else captured today. Or killed." She added, then took off into the labyrinth, using Ash's lingering scent trail to help guide her. Soon enough she could hear the sounds of talking and she quickened her pace, running flat out now. She allowed a bit of her reitsu, small but still powerful, to snap high into the air towards the sounds of the voices, telling Ash to back up and come towards her. She didn't really expect her to do this, since she sensed something deeper was going on with her inducted pup. Her footfalls were silent as she neared to where Ash's scent become stronger and she snarled softly under her breath, clenching her hands together painfully so that blood trickled down her arm. She licked at it absentmindedly, the taste of it focusing her and reminding her of what she had to do.

Powchii vanished in a flurry of light, "It seems like you've drawn quite alot of attention pup." he said reappearing in front of Aislinn, his head to the right side of her face, "This will only last a moment." he said patting the pup on her head with his right arm then lowering it he pressed it against her chest. In a sudden and clean movement he had forced his hand into the pup's chest, his right arm was veiled in a white light as it edged it's way deeper into her chest.

He quickly located the Shinyogo and pulled it from her system with a less then gentle jerk, "Hm~" he said eyeing it noting any changes in it, none could be seen. "I'll not leave you empty handed Aislinn." he said greedily tucking the small orb away into his jacket pocket. "She wants me to give you a gift." he said pointing at the small opening in her chest that was rapidly closing. The darkness was sucked into one small orb that quickly found it's way into Aislinn's body, "Enjoy." he said coldly as the orb forced it's way into the small opening.

"Now that the shadows have been placed inside of her are we done?" Genma asked.

"That was all Jes asked of Master." Gekko responded.

You friends are drawn to you. But it's to late, what's been done has been done." he said turning away from her. "Consider it a blessing, or a curse. It's up to you." he said taking a step away from the pup. Powchii considered Jes a blessing, she was able to save him, and for that he was grateful.

Not a moment sonner he felt a large and immense energy approach them, "Good thing I finished when I did. I'm out of time." he said as the Wolf approached the two.

Aislinn's ears flattened against her skull, the rumbling in her chest building as Powchii appeared in front of her. It was at that moment that her Alpha's command sounded in her head: Stay still. Ash's muscles locked. Try as she might to fight Evil's command using her inherent stubbornness and her love and worry for Ami, she could barely force her limbs to obey her commands. The effort alone made her her head pound and her vision blurred. Wolves weren't made to disobey their Pack leader and their bonds of blood made the consequences of doing so even worse.

Thus paralyzed, she couldn't resist or even move away as Powchii patted her on the head in a very condescending fashion. A snarl ripped from her throat, but it was the most she could manage. It was suddenly choked off as the Bount proceeded to push a hand into her chest. It was as though her skin was no more resistant than water, and it parted at his touch. The pain in her chest increased tenfold and she let out a high-pitched bark that quickly turned into a short howl-- a wolf's distress call. The pain was replaced by a bone-numbing cold that spread through her chest rapidly as Powchii withdrew his hand.

His words frightened her. He again mentioned some mysterious woman for whom he worked. Suddenly, Ash was sure that the woman and the red-eyed monster in her dreams were connected.

What have y' done? Ash demanded, snarling. Her chest was so cold it hurt. How-- who's the woman with the red eyes? What does she want from me? She could sense Evil drawing near, and she couldn't tell if she was relieved or not. She'd broken rank and disobeyed direct orders. The only reason she wasn't running now was that the power of her Alpha more or less kept her in place. Her love for Ami was barely enough to override the command, but not without painful repercussions.

She she take Ami? She demanded, furious and frightened all at once. Tell me what you've done with her!
