Yeah. Im not rushing through it though. o.O I haven't even come close to beating prophacies yet. *L* I wonder how many places I haven't visited yet? Then I still have Factions and Nightfalls. I want to take it slow though, so i'm always kept busy. It wouldn't be fun if I beat it so quickly. Oh yeah, and my reason for standing there danceing is im waiting for people to ask for quest help, too. >> Thats what I do mostly, or ask if anyone needs help.

MSN Groups are gone. Pretty pointless now. They took away the chats. That's there Christmas gift to everyone, I guess. First the Chats, Now the MSN Group Chat. Why do they do this? Because they want MONEY. And they weren't getting money from people from the MSN group chats, so they decided to kill it. That's the only reason. MSN is plan evil and I hate'em. >.< Next it will be MSN messanger.

In light of this fact, I would like to propose that we look into a chat system we can all have, that we can control. A few possibilities I can think of are:
IRC Direct Connect (one of us will have to host the hub) Teamspeak

If we are to do a voice method, I recommend Ventrilo.
If we are to do a chat system, we can all reasonably connect via MSNM, as most of us have it, and it's free, or we could attempt connection via AIM. I have both.

What is Direct Connect? Is it like, a server you buy and you can host you're own chat? I've been trying to find something like that..x.x No luck yet. .. . . .. . . .Er..Just searched it,and its bringing up that its a file shareing program?
And yeah, The MSNM sounds like a good idea too.

Hello Amanda, Thank you for writing back to MSN Groups Technical Support. My name is Geri and I understand that you no longer see the chat room in your Group. I realize how important this feature is to you. We appreciate that you have written to us regarding this.
As customers continue to evolve and change the way they communicate, the number of people using chat has significantly declined and chat has become a less popular method of communication with customers. Microsoft looked at the MSN Chat user numbers and the chat room industry on the whole and determined that discontinuing this service would allow us to focus on providing an even better online experience to the broadest set of Microsoft communication services customers.
In line with the closure of MSN Chat, the Chat feature within MSN Groups has also been discontinued. The notice about this change is in the MSN Groups Homepage, http://groups.msn.com/, and was posted several weeks before the actual closure of MSN Chat, which is October 16th.This is the reason why you can no longer find the "Chat" link in your group.
Microsoft is committed to creating the best communication services that seamlessly bring customers closer to each other. Currently we offer multi-party IM within Windows Live Messenger, and social networking through Windows Live Spaces. It is important to note that only the Chat feature within MSN Groups will be affected by this change. You will still continue to enjoy other features and services offered by MSN Groups.
You are a valuable customer to MSN and we are glad to give you consistent and effective service. Thank you for using MSN Groups.
Sincerely,
Geri MSN Groups Technical Support

Me In dealing with Amanda, one of your staff, naming him/her-self as Geri, in regards to the closing of Groups Chat had this to say, "..the number of people using chat has significantly declined and chat has become a less popular method of communication with customers. Microsoft looked at the MSN Chat user numbers and the chat room industry on the whole and determined that discontinuing this service would allow us to focus on providing an even better online experience to the broadest set of Microsoft communication services customers. In line with the closure of MSN Chat, the Chat feature within MSN Groups has also been discontinued." Only reason I know this is because she and I have been contacts since the time MSN Chats became a subscription-only service. The point of this message, however, is to explain why the numbers using your chat service has so steeply declined. In switching to subscription-only, you effectively cut off anyone who could not afford MSN Premium. As such both those who couldn't and their friends who could ceased to use MSN Chats. There was a migration for a time to MSN Groups, as it still gave those who couldn't afford MSN Premium to still use a chatroom atmostphere to converse. But, as time went on, those numbers dwindled, also, as the members of the Groups began to find other means of communicating via chatrooms. In short, it was the move to subscription-only that caused the decline of Chat users. I understand that the move was done, in part, to negate the risk of pornbots and such, but had you simply added security measures to make hotmail counts not as simple to create, that would have made it more difficult for pornbots to flourish, and would have allowed MSN Chats to survive. In any case, that is the perspective of a former MSN Chats user who followed the migration to Groups because, at the time, I could not afford MSN Premium, but would not use Chats again once I could, simply because none of my other contacts could. Thank you for your time. MSN Hello Joshua, Thank you for writing to MSN Groups Technical Support. This is Switz and I would like to thank you for sending us your thoughts as to why the number of people using chat declined which led to the closure of the Chat feature within MSN Groups. I realize how important this feature is to you. We know that certain enhancements we make on our products can sometimes have an unintended negative impact on users. We apologize for any inconvenience this change has caused you. We take feedback about our products and our customer service very seriously. I am going to make sure that your message would be included in the list of customer feedback submitted to our Product Specialist Team. Your comments have always been a guide in our ongoing efforts to improve our website. You are a valuable customer to MSN and we are glad to give you consistent and effective service. Thank you for using MSN Groups. Sincerely, Switz MSN Groups Technical Support
