Yeah the storm shut out all power to the island of O'ahu (where Alu and I live) for about 12 hours, depending on the area. She lives about a few minutes drive away from me, but thankfully nothing shorted at my house.
If I do see her or hear from her soon I'll be sure to help update on her status as well 3nodding

For the sake of entertainment, I have a riddle for everyone.
You have six pencils and an old fashioned scale. That scale can tell you what is heavier, but it doesn't give any exact numbers. The six pencils are identical in everyway, except that one pencil is slightly heavier than the others. What is the least number of times you need to weight the pencils to determine the heaviest pencil, and how would you weigh them?

Well, I'll take a whack at it. Couldn't you just tell which one was heavier by using your hands? Do you necessarily have to use the scale?
I'm assuming that, by old fashioned, you mean a scale kinda like the scales of justice. Well... I'd split them up into threes and weigh them. Which ever side is heaviest definitely has the heaviest pencil. Out of that, I'd weigh them against each other. Which means I'd weigh two pencils against each other and if they are equal weight, I would then assume the left over pencil is the heaviest one. However, even if one is heavier than the other, I would have still found the heaviest pencil. Which means you would have to weigh them a total of two times.
Totally wrong, right?
