Echo cracked her neck patiently. She had been waiting here for more than four hours, and was prepared to wait much longer, or until the sun came up. He had told her to meet him next to the clump of forest in the park, and this clearly was what he had meant. "It has to be dark, someplace people will not think to look at first." Echo was used to the edgy, paranoid side in most vampires. She herself had been a meek little mouse once, but no more. She smirked as she thought of her great advantage over him.
The heavily armed vampire sat so still, she was not visible in a simple glance. Someone would have to have intense vision, or just stare at where she was until she moved, giving away her place, which was highly unlikely. She was resting with her back against the tree, legs crossed and propped out on the branch under her, atleast ten feet in the air. Echo had the perfect view of the park. The trail and fountains were visible to her, as well as a few of the entrances. She waited.
A few people were in the park, talking and whatnot. She doubted that they would notice her, and frankly didn't give a damn if they did. Echo wondered if her looks could scare them away, immortals or not. Her eyeliner was thick, black, and her ruby eyes were exceptionally bright. Her lips coated in a shiny black, her various piercings with black-spiked barbells. Her clothes were black, of course, tight, and loose in the best places, made for combat. And her collar was on, with two inch spikes that really were malicious-looking.
Echo finally heard a shuffling, a secretive sound, as if wanting to be un noticed. But she noticed anyway. A man, slightly taller than herself, appeared by a tree Echo had been looking at. He was good at cat and mouse, but not as good as she. The vampire stayed put. If it really was her messanger, then he would know where to look for her.If not.. well, she would take care of him later. The man looked up at where Echo was sitting, but then quickly looked away, as Echo locked her amber eyes with his. He was nervous, she could tell from here. Rolling her eyes, Echo watched as he made his way, overly-cautiously, to where she was. She still doubted that he knew she was there.
Echo didn't move. He was directly under her, she watched him with her eyes. "Silas, I was beginning to think that you would not come to.. deal with me, as it were." She said, her voice icy and un-wanting, accentuating 'deal'.
Silas jumped, and pulled a gun on her. "Echo, show yourself!" He choked, pointing his gun at various points in the tree, but never to where Echo herself actually was.
"Very well." She said, and jumped forward, into a spot of moonlight infront of him. Silas' eyes widened, and he took a step away from her. "Not what you expected? But then you probably expected some little vampire who couldn't even feed herself."
Silas grimaced. "Obviously I was mislead.." He said to her, regrettably. "If I had known that you-.. you.. that you were so.. " His tongue was not working the way he wanted it to.
"So much greater than you, I know." Echo said simply. Silas knew it was true. "So why did you bring me here, Silas? So.. out of the way. And you're so.. alone." She said, her eyes delving into his.
"Well.. He wishes to inform you that.. you are no longer.." Silas drew himself up to his full height, and collected himself, "Welcome in The United States. He says that he does not wish to play your games, and that if you do kill me, you will be assassinated immediately." Silas looked over Echo's shoulder as he said that last line.
Echo tensed. She hadn't thought that he would have known his death was so near, and still come to her. "So you're wired, have back up, and plan on removing me from here." Echo concluded. She had expected something like this. "You know that I can drop an entire army in a matter of minutes, and yet you still stand there. Do you honestly expect to get out of her alive, Silas?" She taunted him seriously.
"You won't kill me.. You cant. I know you, Echo. You will simply threaten me, and then you will leave, because you know that I have back up."
Echo didn't want to play the threaten game. She spun around, and glared into the darkness, snipers becoming visible before her. There were ten altogether, in trees, behind foilage, and one behind a nearby fountain. "Too bad you don't know me, Silas." She said, pulling her glock and pointing it at him, still looking into the darkness. She squeezed on the trigger with lightning speed, releasing five shots into Silas' skull.
Silas' body remained in shock for a few seconds, before falling to the ground. She put her warm gun back in it's holster, and turned away from the still snipers. She knew that they would not open fire. They were obviously told to keep her alive, and they were doubting their lives if they tried.
Echo bit her wrist, the blood running freely. She held it over Silas' corpse, and let the blood fall onto him. She let it fall until the blood stopped, and smirked. Her mark was fresh again, and she had no intention of stopping this time.
