Malen began to laugh, blowing lightly as steam lef t the guns, "Not bad wolfie, but you aren't as fast as me even in my condition." she winked before the image disappeared.
Salen sighed as he stood nect to Remus, "This is getting annoying."

Quinn was surprised by the gunfire. But, seeing as Salen deflected the shots, there wasn't an issue. He took a place further back in the battle, doing his best to stay out of firing range, but within spell range. It wasn't an easy task, but after one hundred years of practice, it becomes natural.
"Let me know what you'd like me to do, Remus." Quinn sent his friend the mental message, praying it didn't distract him too much, "I'm here to help."

Remus skidded to a stop and looked around, trying to figure out where she went. "Quinn! Magic is your department. Can you do anything about finding her actual location?"

Merlin nodded and watched him leave. Once he had faded away completely she continued on to the Nocturne.
Night had fallen and the village was quiet. Magnolia sat up in bed and crept to her father's room. He was awake and looking out the window. He turned to look at her when she came in. She couldn't make out his expression due to the gloom. She approached and kneeled on the bed, "May I?" She asked quietly.
Her father watched her a moment then nodded silently and produced a small blade. Magnolia held up a towel to keep from leaking blood everwhere. She positioned herself and watched as he used his fingers to find the scar then lifted the blade and created a small hole. Fortunately the wound wasn't near his wind pipe or else this would have been harder. The wound leaked and the towel soaked it up as it dripped down his neck.
Magnolia closed her eyes, taking a deep breath she searched for it. She immediately saw her father, he was a big mass of energy, a bit dull yet alive. She had to concentrate hard and do this quickly her father was bleeding afterall. She focused harder and found it, it appeared black in her unvision. She "reached" in and started to force the poison. She couldn't see but the poisoned blood appeared black and noxious and oozed out of the opening in his neck and into the towel. When she sensed it was all out she opened her eyes and sagged against her father.
"Magnolia!" Her mother was suddenly there and there was a flurry of activity but she was a bit too out of it to focus, that had been a lot of poison and she wasn't angry like before so she didn't have the boost.
They appeared in an ante room. There was talk in the next room and Aster made the "hold on a second" gesture and moved to a door, "My Lord? My Lady?" He called.
There was a pause in the talk and movement. A moment later Ranier and Winistruya came in, both in robes, "Good to see you Aster." Wini said.
Aster bowed, "My lady, I didn't think it was possible for you to become more lovely."
Wini laughed, "Stop it, what's wrong?"
Aster explained what he and Kanna had sensed.
Naturally the atmosphere in the room got a bit tense.

Immediately, and without another word, Quinn sat down in a meditation position. He chanted a few words in the language of magic, some tangible and understandable, some not.
"Mitekni...Altiken...Shikai...Zaiken!" A bright flash of light then illuminated the area. There wouldn't have been a place for Malen to hide, with an illusion or without, after that spell.

Remus grinned, spotting Malen with ease after that. "Perfect. Thanks Quinn." Remus went back to running at Malen.

Malen rolled her eyes before coming sitting in the cave of darkness Lotan's resting place had created, "Didn't count on magic. Fine, if you want to play with magic. Then let's play." Her eyes flashed red as she pulled out her lighter, "Like said before, I'd be damned if you get me easily so come after me if you have the guts to."

Dorien turned into his original form, knowing what a human doing in an elvan village could do. He opened the door, slowly opening it as he felt the use of power above him. Magnolia no doubt. He moved up the stairs, fighting the urge to coem to her assistance. She knew what she was doing. Once the power was gone, he did move towards the room.

Remus pulled up short outside the cave. "I told you we don't want a fight. You're about to become my sister in law. Why would you think that?"

Quinn stood up and looked toward the cave that Malen had entered. He hadn't been expecting a Magical counter of such a level. But, as time would play out, that would be what happened. So, he did the least he could, and approached the cave.

Quinn, Remus, anything I might be able to do to help? Othello messaged them, hoping he might be of use as he quietly stepped out of the Lotus base. He saw no reason to stay in the kitchen since Cara had meant to leave.

Malen smirked, the darkness of the cave hiding it well, "You're telling me, that my sis's old man doesn't want payback?" she flicked open the lighter, the small flicker of light immediately growing into the shape of an enormous phoenix, "You must be joking. I've been in Signet and her sister city for far too long to hear something like that."

"Just find us quickly, Othello." Quinn sent the message back, "That'd be the best thing for you to do."
Quinn, falling back into old habits, continued to move toward the cave in awe at its power. It had been a long time since he had felt magic so much more powerful then his own, so it was a bizarre feeling. He knew he could survive in the cave, he had his ways, but for how long was the true test. But why was it here to begin with?

Alright, I should be there in a minute or so. Came his quick reply. Othello then added the skates to his boots, and started skating along the ice in Quinn's general direction. He could feel the power coming from the cave, but he felt it was certainly no time to dodge away from it.

"You're his daughter! Why would he want payback!?" Remus thought for a moment and then swallowed hard. "I swear on the souls of my sister and father that we don't want any trouble. We just want you back at the base..."

Quinn shot a message into Malen's mind, not wanting to interrupt Remus as he spoke. He, of course, made sure to safeguard himself from any backlash that Malen could send, because he wasn't sure exactly how powerful she was.
"I would listen to him." Quinn said calmly, "In the 30 years that I've known him, he's only ever sworn to someone on that level, well, now twice."
All the while, Quinn continued to innocently inspect the outside of the cave.
