So today was my first day on the job as a jeweler's assistant. I'm not being paid yet, but this will come in time. I spent the day bending, cutting, and filing, preparing lengths of wire for the real jewelers to make into pretty things. I did the prep work for eight of these, six of these, and twelve of these. I also learned how to make French earwires.

I also learned how to make French earwires. Oh my goodness I'm glad I popped my head in here today! That's so very awesome! I too would love to be a jeweler someday. Have you gone to school for this or have you done your learning in the field? Sorry to pry, I'm just really interested! 4laugh

Have you gone to school for this or have you done your learning in the field? Sorry to pry, I'm just really interested! 4laugh I took some jewelry classes in high school and at summer camp, and my high school classes were VERY good. I haven't had any college-level jewelery courses, but what I learned in high school was pretty close to that.

So apparently I'm hated in Avatar Talk. ******** - I called that forum home since it was first introduced, and now I'm an elitist a*****e just because I have a strong opinion about what a nice avatar looks like? Either way, no matter what in life, some people are going to like you and some people aren't. The trick is to go with the flow and not worry about having everybody like you, cause that just doesn't work.

Arg, what? gonk I'm exercising more but now I'm starting to gain the weight back. Maybe this is that "gaining muscle mass" thing offsetting the fat loss.
Avatar Talk frightens me. XD There's this whole subculture of people who think they have the right to decide what constitutes a good looking outfit and what doesn't. Isn't it all subjective, and we're just to give our opinions instead of come down on others for breaking unwritten rules that you think everyone should know?
Jen: Perhaps you can start by adding little bits as you recolor and mix-and-match. ^^ Like...add a ribbon or a longer sleeve. Eventually you could practice your way up to editing whole pieces/outfits if you find that you like it.
Hanae: Cute~ Although the heavy bangles are giving me pause. o_O; Why would anyone wear clunky jewelry like that when going to play at the beach? Must get in bikini shape by summer! X3
