Paradox waited outside the Servants entrance patiently. He felt along the air. He could feel some sort of resistance, something that had not been there before he had left, but was strangely familiar to him. He took the time to examine his arrows.

Black looked over at the little girl, but he said nothing. He was no good around children, at least since he was growing up with Katherine.
The little girl looked up at Katherine and tears were still steaming down her eyes. She tried wiping them, but she just couldn't stop them from coming. "M--m-my mommy and daddy died during the... poison..." She said, trying to keep herself from getting too upset. "Everyone... keeps telling me to go away... calling me a dirty child..." Still sobbing, she clung to Katherine immediately.

Katherine picked her up brushing her hair and trying to sooth her. "Shh none of that we will get you cleaned up have some good food in your stomach and everything else." She spoke as she walked back towards Matachi and Black. She was told that Paradox waited for her outside. She thanked Dialh for that and looked at Matachi. "See Matachi, he is going to take you to get something to eat. I will be right back little one." She spoke sweetly seting the girl down and laying a kiss on her forhead as she headed outside. She walked outside looking confused. "You could have came in."

Paradox looked confused himself. "I can't. There is something blocking the way. I think I could destroy it, but I don't know what would happen if I do." Paradox said, probing some invisible barrier that neitherKatherine nor Paradox could see. He could almost reach the door, but something prevented him.

Matachi looks down at the little girl kneeling down "Well Hi there, I am Matachi." He says smiling at her his white hair down to his eyes "What would you like to eat little one?" He asked

Still looking at Matachi, she squeezed the bear tightly against her and thought of what to ask. "I-I don't know... I haven't... eaten in a few days..." She said timidly. "My tummy has... has been rumbly... and its... been hurting."
Black just sort of shied away and left Matachi to deal with her. He'd sit on the steps and just watch from afar.

Katherine looked back into the main hall and then back to him. "No, we put it up i hadn't thought it would bother you since you are in essance mortal. It is to keep Alastor away." She spoke truthfully she couldn't have him not be able to go inside though. They had guest corrders right inside town for Lords and Ladies as well as Ambassdors. "I have a place right outside the castle for now.. we just can't risk it." She spoke truthfully. "It will only last one or two more days."

Matachi stands up offering his hand to her "Come on Ill get you something good to eat." He says smiling as he waits for her to take his hand.

With a bit of hesitation, the little girl reaches up her hand, still holding the teddy bear with the other and grabs on to Matachi's. "W-where are going?"

Paradox nodded carefully. It wasn't strong enough to keep him out, if he really wanted to go in, but he couldn't enter without corrupting the blessing. "I am in essence, mortal, but I am bound by different laws." He said more to himself than to Katherine. He looked back at the city. "It would do the troops good to see me out and about for the next couple of days. If you need me, I will be around town, trying to raise moral." Paradox said to Katherine. It was a chance for him to finally check out the the town more than he ever had before.

"To the kitchen of course I have an idea what you might like." Matachi says as he walks with her towards the kitchen "So how old are you?" He asked as they walked

She noded some. "It might be best.." She didn't want him involoved when Alastor did come actually. That was her mess not theres. "Be careful okay." She spoke in a very serious tone. She had almost died when he was away, in fact she had come closer than ever.

Dialh followed Matachi and the child into the kitchen she was already getting something ready for the child. Some warm bread with honey as well as a small bit of soup she set the plate even fixed her juice. "She should like that M'lord." Dialh spoke sweetly as she sat down across from the small child.

"I'm... I'm... 7..." She said, still sounding a bit upset and now a little scared. "You aren't... a... a pervert.... are you?" She asked, as if she would know exactly what it was. "Cause... when I was... still looking for... a place to stay.... some man let me in. He just... wanted... to do... bad things with me..." After recounting the incident she started to sob again.

Paradox nodded solemnly. "Don't worry about me Katherine. I have been careful my entire life." Paradox told her. It was true, but it hadn't helped him when the push came to shove. No matter how careful you were, there was always a chance. He looked at Katherine, with sad eyes. "But, I think that your the one who should tread lightly. You have been too close to death lately." Paradox said remembering that near death expereince in the back of his mind.
