*letting go of the man's ankle after seeing the claw, the wolf jumped back alittle, skidding and sending up alittle dust. Growling in a low crouch, he sprung at the man again with surprising speed despite his physical condition, hoping to bite the man's neck*

Both tendrils recoiled in an instant and disappeared into the coat. Ka'rinth's eyes still glowed as he said, You are no better than me, you willingly did what I told you without ever considering the consequences. The only exception was the plains. Now live with your actions and if you are so hell bent on keeping your word you'd better find out who will suffer when you come to kill me. Now, I have tasks to run, enjoy your dark side. You killed Enid much as I did, slaughtering the innocents. As he spoke a wall of earth erupted upwards next to him to either block or strike the wolf as it lunged at him. As the wall rose and he finished speaking he melted into the ground without another look back.

Crystal lay there, not moving. tears ran down her face as she thought about what she had done.
"I didn't know..."
She whispered into the air.

*with a yelp of surprise, the wolf barely managed to push off of the wall instead of slaming into it, ending up inverted and heading the opposite direction. twisting in mid-air, the wolf righted himself and landed on all four paws, trying to stop. he ended up a few feet from Crystal, panting for air. padding over to her slowly, the wolf licked her cheek, trying to cheer her up even just the slightest amount, then stopped and spoke to her in the usual animal language*
Crystal...... you didn't know............ how could you have?

But I should have known. I know everything 9 knew about him. I knew he was evil and I just helped him kill so many.

*the wolf laid down, resting its head on the ground next to her, offering what comfort he could*
Maybe you should look at it a different way......... you took those lives, well learn from it. Learn how easy it is to take lives and how easy it is to trick someone to doing the dirty work. Don't let this get to you, thats what he seemed to want. Instead do what you can to make up for it and work on changing things so this can't happen to anyone else. Use this to your benefit and make those lives not lost in vain on your part.

*the wolf nuzzled her gently and seemed content he could help even if he couldn't do much to the strange man. He sniffed the air and picked up the familiar scent of Heidel but wasn't interested in him.*
No problem..... I have had enough of those who used me in my travels..........

Well Akai, I need to get started I guess...
Crystal got up and started digging. She made small gaves at first then larger ones. Her arms ached and she felt like they were going to fall off as she worked.

Lukien's boot steps sounded, softly, on the lose gravel of the ruins of Enid. So many years ago he spent his youth playing in the streets of this city...his city. And now, thanks to the Black Company, it was nothing more then a barren peice of naught! His swords clanged, lightly, against the metal studs of his pants. There was a breeze, if ever so slight, and it brought nothing but the dust of his fallen city. So long ago he could picture it's bristeling streets, but now all he saw was the wake of the Black Company.

Vice stands atop a pile of rubble. A masamune rests, unsheathed against his leg. He is garbed in his usual black cloak and brestplate. He stares off into the distance.

There was something about Lukien today that didn't settle right with himself. His other selves were quiet, and he could hear himself think without their constant bickering...and that was probably why he felt so uneasy. Lukien walked right beside Vice, not stopping until he was litterally standing parallel with the man. "Why are you here? This place is for the dead..."

"And you are dead?"
Vice responds without moving, nor turning his attention to Lukien.
