She shot him and evil glare and rolled over. "I don't trust your promises..." She mumbled, feigning sleep as well. She had too much on her mind to sleep. The traveling, the bandits, her next source of income, and her family. Her family was something that never left her mind, and was always pulling at the edge of her consciousness. Her brother, her mother, her father...even her old nanny. She traced the outline of a worn patch on the hem of her kimono.
If her mother was here, a patch wouldn't be visible; the fabric would look new. The silk embroidered patterns wouldn't be pulling loose and strands of silk wouldn't be hanging off the edges of her sleeves. Then again, if her mother was here, she would have a fit, seeing her beautiful daughter with 'potential' wearing a worn out kimono with no makeup on, clutching a Halberd (Gasp, a Weapon, how un-feminine!) at her side.

Kazuma had been completely unconcious up until a few seconds ago, yet he had that sensation..that he had been moved from where he was before. That sensation a person gets when they've first rolled out of bed..He did not move though. His last memory was of Chochmah. If he was still near him,,movement could be deadly. His body then felt something else that most people are accustomed to. Movement. He was being..carried? He felt something rubbing into his stomach..hard..it must be a bone. He was being carried, over the shoulder of someone. He tried to focus..what had happened to Miu? Was she okay? His sword? Broken..He didn't seem to be in too bad of shape..He could probably move. Maybe walk? Yes..then he made his intentions clear, and he spoke. "Put me down."

Only moments before Chochmah had looked at the moon, and then almost as Kazuma spoke, Chochmah dropped him off his shoulder. Letting him fall onto his back. "Get up and follow, hurry or you'll be forced." Chochmah continued to walk forward, Their destination in view, and an inn would soon be found. Chochmah was a strange character indeed. His perception of the future was impecible, and his knowledge of how to read it even more precise. He was a danger not only to his enemies, but to any 'allies' he may have. Intentions weren't unhidden, and desires were always noticed. A man who read it all, as dangerous as the most skilled samurai or shinobi...
Hakkyou crouched there as the morning would slowly overcome them all. That wasn't now though, there were still a few hours till the day won over the night. And he could get some 'rest' till then. His mind was thinking about this whole thing, Chochmah, a man named Kashi, and the ten reforming. It was almost...destiny, or something of that nature. A bit scary for a man who lived his life with the belief that there was no such thing. Scary indeed...

Kazuma hopped up, and started walking, his footsteps falling in line with Chochmah's own. It was almost as if there were only one set of footsteps..it was a simple matter, and one that was used in assassinating someone, so that they could be snuck up on. His goal was not assassinatioin. No, that wouldn't be good at all. Especially with his broken sword..now, his skills were almost useless. "You've already forced me to do so much, I really doubt you could do more. By the way, I hope you have a way of replacing my sword. Iaijutsu is really kind of useless without a weapon, you know." Perhaps he was trying to irritate Chochmah with all his talking..it wouldn't be a bad goal, afterall.

Chochmah looked back at the man for a bit and then back forward. He knew what he would say, but was hoping the man would have enough sense not to ask. "You call yourself a master of Iaijutsu and yet can't handle a mouse without your 'sacred' blade. I have no clue how you became one of the ten. In any case there is a sword already waiting at the inn where we will be staying. You should already be able to guess that if I'm involved in your future I'm going to provide for things I destroy."
This was in fact true according to the past. He always, if involved with any of the ten, or an ally, provided for things he ruined, or altered. He did this before even ruining the item. His skill was more useful than a simple 'seer.' He used it a great deal of the time, and so made himself something much more than human...

"I call myself nothing, dear Chochmah. You are the one who has all this time continued to speak of me as the master of Iaijutsu." And certainly he was. It's not that he denied this, but he really just felt like pestering the man who had so cruelly led him to a choice he did not want to make."Also, flinging insults? That's hardly a good use of your sharp wit. Really, how the mighty have fallen, if even one so insignificant as I seem to be getting under your skin. Tsk Tsk." Kazuma seemed to be playing a deadly game. Was he drunk on bravado? Or was he a man not afraid of death? It had to be one of the two, becuse you didn't cross Chochmah, or anyone of the ten without one or the other.

Chochmah simply let the man speak. It wasn't his problem to deal with. The man would learn from Kashi...that he would listen, or quickly learn that there was a fate far worse than death. Chochmah would follow the path set down already. He knew where he was going, but he couldn't see one thing...it was somehow a mystery to his eye. So strange for him to not know something. He didn't have to worry about it yet though. There was plenty of time before that would occur...

Kazuma made kind of a disgusted look at the back of Chochmah's head. Then he remembered that Chochmah probably saw that coming. So he quit making that look. "Feh. The silent treatment." Kazuma didn't like the silence. Especially around Chochmah. It made him..nervous. Did he know what he was thinking? Did he see every movement he made? Did he see him slowly reach into his sleeve and pull out a pair of dice. "Alright let's play a game then. You should be fairly good at this. Call Odds or Evens. If both numbers on the dice add up to be Odd, and you say Odd, you win. But if they add up to be Odd and you say Even, then I win. Fairly simple." Kazuma shook the dice up in his hand, then covered them with his other hand. "Call it."

Chochmah, didn't like to be tested, but he would show something more this time as he had of course, already seen this coming. "No matter what I say you'll throw it, so here are your answers. The first is three, the second is eleven, the third is four split by two and two. Then the fourth will be five and the sixth is snake eyes. Go ahead and roll...and prove me right with your face making, and your thoughts. Keep in mind sight of the future is a powerful and shouldn't be tested when you know it's real." He continued to walk foward, not even looking back to see if he was correct. He knew things that Kazuma didn't know. That was why he brought him. There was a deeper reasoin than that he happened to be one of the ten. A far deeper reason...

Kazuma made all the rolls, and he knew they would all be just as Chochmah had guessed. "Fate's a hard thing to beat." He slid the dice back into their resting place, and continued walking. "It's human nature to test things. That's what I always thinkg about when I draw my blade. I'm testing myself as a master of iaijutsu. Everytime I wonder 'Will this be the man who draws faster than myself? Will this finally be the man who has a more accurate blade?' The answer has always been no..at least against another iaijutsu student. That's what we do as masters of our chosen path Chochmah. We continually fight, hoping, praying that you'll meet one stronger than you. I think that's why we're aligning ourselves with this man. He's stronger than us. that's what we've always been looking for." Kazuma ended his small speech. Chochmah knew what he thought anyway, but getting things off his chest helped somewhat. "It was far more fun to play with Miu."

Nobara listened to the two men's discussion... a very pointless discussion, because Kazuma wouldn't be able to irritate Chochmah however hard he tried and Chochmah was rather boring to have a discussion with since he already knew what you were going to say.
"I still don't understand why we would want to align ourselves with someone stronger than us... I mean if we've been wanting to fight against someone stronger than us our whole life, wouldn't we now want to fight this Kashi? I mean wouldn't that be what we've been striving for our whole life... to die while fighting someone stronger than us? Or is this aligning ourselves with him just an excuse to get closer to him, to maybe find a way to beat him... so that we can remain the strongest?"

Chochmah continued walking, the inn was now in view. He didn't even look back as he answered Nobara, feeling no need to give an answering speech to the man behind him. "I am joining him because I see what will occur and what needs to occur. I join to be closer to him and observe everything he plans to do. What you join him for is your own decision...if I makes any difference, Hakkyou is devoting his sword to Kashi once he gets there...And Mouki is already there waiting for him to break out. Which will be soon."
He stopped at the door to the inn. "Go in, to the room on top. It's back in the far corner, large enough for 5 people." He then entered and went to the lady in the front to speak with her about certain things. They would have a short discussion and then Chochmah would be on his way towards the room.

Kazuma heard Chochmah's 'order', but did little to acknowledge it, other than moving on upstairs towards the room. He'd lost his patience, and there was little dealing with Chochmah now. A part of Kazuma wanted the killing to start..at least he had something to focus on then..but..no. Can't think like that. The only thing he could focus on was surviving long enough to get back to Miu. Kazuma just had this..feeling. Like things were gonna go bad. Maybe it was just a part of his humanity? It was so confusing..By the time his pondering had stopped, he'd reached the room. Opening the door, he stepped inside.

Ichida blinked an rolled over again. The night was beginning to disolve into day, and it had been quite a sleepless night in her opinion. Thoughts of her family had plagued her throughout her last (sleepless) eight hours. In addition to that, something in her soup was disagreeing with her, and she had a horrible stomach ache. 'Probably that disgusting creek water...' She thought to herself. She sat up, stretching and waiting for the coming morning, which was only about two hours away. She had only managed to grab a few scattered winks of sleep, maybe an hour or two; reguardless of that, she found herself quite awake. She turned to Hakkyou.
