The edges of the city soon appeared in front of her, and the not so distant figure of Remus was there as well. Lina jumped down with a small thump as she walked towards him, the leader with in her never faltering, but now she was merely a vampire and nothing more, "Remus."

Troden had by this time set everyone out of his room, including the second in command as he thought silently as to how things will have to be from now on. He knew the day would come when he would meet his old mentor again, but not this soon. And he would be a traitor in his eyes now... The Rajen leader looked out of the window, the now pale white light pouring in making him smile grimly, "So, great Leader...what will happen now?" he said quietly to himself.

Remus slowly got to his feet as he heard her voice. His eyes remained averted, hidden by his hair. He braced himself for whatever came next, but his stomach knotted itself in anxiety.

She folded her arms, holding them as she looked ahead of her, "I have never been attracted to anyone. Not even my allies long ago, but I have been given an understanding of what it is I feel. It's not just being an ally, or a comrad, or even ordinary friends. It's something deeper, more instinct than mere thouhgt alone...and even though it is something I haven't been prepareed for, I have also learn you cannot truly be prepared for such a thing. Which is why I realize that I am more than happy that you are the one I am attracted to here and now."
Her voice stayed calm throughout the whole speech, but towards the end, it faltered, as one who was truly emotional should. She slwoly walked infront of him and said, "In other words, I like you too..."

Surprise covered Remus's face and he looked up quickly. He looked in her eyes and for the first time since he'd met her, he saw something flicker in those ice hard eyes. "You..." He slowly, tentatively reached out and put his arms around her. His heart raced.

The surprise on his face surely mirrored her own she let him hold her. No one who had done that before survived for very long, but mad eno move to attack him. In fact, she moved closer to him, "Yes Remus....I do."

She watched him silently before shaking her head, "I don't keep secrets that do not need to be kept. Being with you will not change my leadership, but if they want a new leader, I will do all I can to help him or her. If their loss of respect is because of your race, then that must mean the do not deserve to be in this organization at all."

They rounded the corner and walked down the alley to the base door. Remus put his hand on the knob. His other hand held hers and he gave a light squeeze. "The moment of truth."

Troden walked towards the window, letting the moon's rays fall upon him. He seemed like another person now, more subdued and more...peaceful. The glass door opened silently as he stepped out, closing behind him with a soft click. Now was his own moment of truth. The moment when he and his 'father' met one again. And this time, they were enemies.
