Wildly, the girl smashed her weapon against the thing, breathing deeply for a moment when she saw it stop moving. And then she was up an running toward Dawson.

6. Someone grabs a hold of you - wait isn't that the Death lead - and you feel yourself being flung into the air and on top of one o the centipede carapaces. You cling for dear life as it descends slowly, and if you do not summon your weapon to hold on, will immediately fall off. If you do manage to hold on, you can try attacking the boss. Doing so will give you additional Fear charges, allowing you use use charges you depleted last turn. If you fall off, take -5 damage, it is a very long fall.
Her nerves were more shot than she'd realized. She jabbed at the centipedes with the butt of her scythe, but all they did was squeeze tighter, pulling her further along the sand. Productive.

Groaning, Jason sat up, sand falling everywhere, then had to jump out of the way as a segment nearly crushed him.
"S-seriously?!" He signed, then heard a small yelp. Hey wasn't that a trainee-
"O-oh god." He was sure he saw someone get crushed, rushing forwards as others tried to help get him out as well, only stopping when someone threw him a runic trap torch, putting it away in a coat pocket and continuing on.
He left the fighting part to them for now, concerned the FEAR shield had been depleted and the teen had suffered serious injuries.
"Hello? Can you hear me??" He pulled out a much fancier pack of bandages, kneeling besides the large beast and trying to bandage him up and restore his shield. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

At least this time when she slammed the end of her staff into the creatures, one gave a hissing scream, and she was alarmed as much as she was thrilled that one seemed to get partially crushed by her hit this time. It wasn't much, but it was progress to getting out of there.

He suddenly felt so much stronger and his legs no longer burned with cuts. The muscles ached from running on sand but he was no longer in agonising pain each time he moved. His greaves were stained red and covered in stuck sand but he was alive, he wasn't dying, and he wasn't being eaten.
Yet.
He told Abbi thanks and turned to Kara who was now covered in tiny centipedes. He didn't think, he didn't question, he just willed Yza into existence and swung--
Except nothing materialized into his hand until he'd completed the swing. She was sluggish to appear, and then the sudden weight of her sent him stumbling forward.
"Abbi, we gotta get these things off of her!" he said, using Yza's shaft as a pole to push himself up and stand. Bradley was still acutely aware that the giant titan was still active, that they were still in danger, but damnit a cute girl was going to be eaten alive!

Dawson felt a surge of pride as America tackled the flaming centipede without so much as batting an eye, and if he hadn't been in the middle of being crushed, he would have done some appropriate cheering. She and Maebe really were something; he was lucky to have them in his life.
"Yeah!" He coughed and sucked in a breath, keeping the grin up as he tried to tug himself out from under the titan. "I'm beef jerky, baby girl! Ain'...gonna tear through me...that easily...!"

Dawson's encouragement was met with a giant fireball hitting the thing above him and exploding...thankfully not setting him on fire as well. Hopefully...
The thing definitely noticed that.

Above all, she needed some combat training after all this. That's the main summery of everything she'd been experiencing thus far. Assuming she lived. But Kara didn't want to focus on that. She slammed the scythe again into the centipedes and another wriggled and hissed at her for doing a bit more damage to the damned things.
But when the guy who... had been injured, but seemed to at least be still moving tried to help, she shook her head franticly. "Get out of here," she shouted at them both, aware that he'd just said that someone named Abbi--the girl who was also holding a scythe, maybe?--that they had to help her. "I've got this, go!"
<You have . . . nothing but trouble . . .> The hiss in her head made Kara bristle and return her focus on the creatures. She didn't need others getting caught up by the gigantic titan or more of these disgusting things. Not over her.

She slammed Stryker into it one last time, and then the huge shape was moving on. Panting for a moment, her face crumples and then her form soon follows, flopping down on Dawson with a wobbly, "I was so scared..."

Everything still ached from the fall, but Abbi had moved into full Moon Hunter mode and was only focused on the battle, and more importantly, helping others. She'd originally signed into the Moon division because she thought she could heal, but today was going pretty well, all things considered. Giant centipedes, rando trips to the Sahara, and bad falls included.
"Hiya! I love your outfit and hey! Nice scythe!" Abbi greeted the new recruit as she dashed forward, swinging her own scythe up and into a twirl so that she caught the rest of the critters that were bothering the girl. "Abbi Killian, Moon, nice to meet you! Sorry the circumstances aren't better." She gave a sympathetic smile and did a jig to smash once last little bug under her feet. "The two of you ok? I think I have some bandages in my coat if someone needs some healing!"
A massive shape descends towards you - you realize belated it is the body of the centipede and for a moment your legs seize up, and you can't move. You need someone to QUOTE YOU to pull you away (or, if nobody does, you can just take the -10 damage).
Not.
Good.
[[ BRADLEY EVANS MOVE ]] But it was too late. The body was already coming, already descending already---
Terror flooded his veins and he stood still, frozen in it.
That the ginger came up out of nowhere and did some very nice slicing and dicing of the remaining buggers had Kara more than a tad impressed. As did the girl's energy. She couldn't help but grin at her. "T-thank you. Kara Dolan," she said automatically, unable to keep herself from the introduction as she scrambled to her feet. "Your scythe is rather beautiful as well." In her head, Branwen snorted before she seemed to give out a shout of warning.
Beyond Abbi, though still in Kara's line of sight, the brunette was frozen and staring up and Kara followed his gaze and the body was moving..! "Move!" She bolted towards him, grabbing hold of his rather fancy looking jacket and tugging him back hard from the impending crush.
"I think now would be a great time to leave," she laughed, a bit breathless as she looked at Abbi and... wait. She still didn't know his name. "Who are you anyways?"
Looking around, something... caught her eye. Kara squinted, and slowly grinned, tugging on his jacket again and using her scythe to point towards the... cave? "Look! We can duck down in there!" Immediately she began to run, though she kept glancing behind her to make sure they were keeping up. She didn't want to ditch people. Not if she could help it.
But there was no denying the sense of relief as she skid down into the cave, away from the titan.

If Abbi had wanted to move any, even a little bit, there was no point. The coat that she had tried to pull off unsuccessfully earlier had caught around her elbows and flared out all the more, which made her a more perfect target for the thresher maw titan centipede. Whatever evasive maneuver she attempted was pitiful as a giant leg crashed down and skewered the middle of the back of Abbi's jacket. She watched helplessly as Bradley was once again almost pinned, but at the last minute was saved by Kara. A small cheer left the young woman, useless fists flailing as she was pulled back into the sand.
After all the things that had happened today, this was it. This was the one thing that made her totally give up. "It was nice meeting you Kara! Be safe!" She called as she sagged back against the leg that had, thankfully, not bothered to move any further just yet. "Follow her, ok Bradley? She's better to run after! Be safe too, ok!" Abbi shouted at Bradley, gesturing to Kara once more before she huffed and began to wiggle against her trapped coat. It would have been unfortunate to lose her coat, given that she'd had it for years at this point, but maybe it was time for an upgrade. Maybe this was her sign to literally let go and start fresh!
