Donovan: A poker card? Well I'm obviously not a poker card. I don't think anyone has ever asked me such an odd question... Not that I'm trying to say your odd of course! sweatdrop

Illo: The nature of the soul is incomparably simple in its presentation, so that it is reflected in everything with no adulterations, yet is incomprehensible in that when one tries to observe the beauty of the soul their perception invariably distorts its image.
Before you asked that question, and before I set out on my journey, we both knew in full the color of the soul, but as we became aware of the concept of the enlightened self, a self which is indeed at one with this truth, we were blinded, not by the knowledge itself but by the vehicle by which knowledge is transformed into enlightenment.
The soul is same, inverse, each possible option, combination, and neither. All outcomes happen in complete dominance, in concert and not at all. So to say the soul is akin to a color is correct in that it must be like everything, but incorrect for the true nature of the soul because it only allows for the complete dominant expression.
The true color of the soul can be seen when one has aligned their perception of his/her soul with those of external observers without losing either's sovereignty, and then forgetting that perception itself exists so that all can be accounted for in splendor in the light of our wisdom and that light be cast upon the light of the soul which exists before and beyond concept.
When that type of light is cast, then you may see the color of the soul.
Which means you don't want to tell me which color is it. Meanie stare Onto the next question. What is the meaning of a monk? Do you even meditate bro? What's the sweetest thing you've tasted/experienced? How many monks does it take to illuminate a person?
Illo: The meaning of a monk? An interesting thought. Suppose you could begin by not asking if I meditate, but whether I am not meditating; asking to understand meaning when what is to comprehended is not meaning. As monk, we seek to find meaning, and therefor bring the concept of comprehension where we go. That is our meaning.
As for the sweetest thing I have tasted, it was the first drop of honey that fell to my tongue after I had passed the trial of the Iron Phoenix.
Not as many as it takes to screw in a lightbulb... Those are tricky.
Yeah I can imagine them already.
"Isn't it lighted already?" "The light bulb is just an illusion" "The room itself its an illusion" "Even if we put the light bulb does it really illuminate?" "What is illumination?"
And they could go on and on.
Now, For the final question. Do you really like your life as a monk? Reinforcing the question. Have you never dream of having a different life?
Illo:
I won't lie, I do. When I do, I believe an entirely new reality awaits, and I could easily pass through to a universe in which I am not a monk. However, I also believe doing so could compromise the universe and that iteration of myself in order to preserve the distance and sovereignty of each universe. Which takes us to our original question...
(You should see him grocery shop.
"Why don't they call it a CANelope?")
I see. So it is possible that somewhere, beyond this infamous Illusion there's a person named Illo that it's actually not a monk?
(Why don't they? eek )

Well you tittle says King of heard. But you don't have any crown or hearts. (I took a quick peek at the Purgatory thread.) So, I assumed you had to be a card themed guy or something of the sorts. Do you use cards? Or why is it King of hearts? Unless. You turn into a keyblade?

(Perhaps they're just being negative, Just like all those American'ts who don't decorate for Christmas. 'MURKA!)
Donovan: Well nothing like that. No cards or crowns. I have the power to materialize the hearts of those I forge an empathic link with. I'm an empath and I pull out people's hearts, then use them for combat. I suppose I'm the odd one in this conversation then, huh?

Ehh? a bit busy aren't we?
How about a quick round of questions?
@ the pink haired chick What are the odds of you actually pairing up with that other girl?
@ the brunette. What's your deepest secret.
@ the black haired woman. What are you?
@ The kyubi. What's with the flames?
@ the rehead. Are you really in a relationship with the monk?
Annnd Go!
Zoey: What girl are you talking about? I'm dead at the moment so there's no chance to have any kind of social interactions.
Misty: N-none of your business O///O B-but I ... I think It would be the fact that I'm only a remnant of a previous life.
@ Eva: I am harmless ^ ^
@ Volpeo: What flames? Have you seen the young maiden? I've been looking for her > . >
@ Melani: Of course I am, but not that kind of relationship.
@ Zoey: You know the one you always hang around with in OOC. Do you like her?
@ Misty: What about your girlfriend?
@ Eva: And I'm Giglio.
@ Volpeo: I don't know any maidens sorry sweatdrop
@ Melani: Hmmm any love interest? Sorry but you look like one that looks often for a love interest xd

Donovan: Well I'd love to tell you why it doesn't kill them, but I'm not quite sure I understand most of it myself. It's pretty confusing but it's helpful. Whenever I pull out someone's heart it's unique. It's power depends on the person I take it from. I've taken my fair share of hearts already actually, you've even talked to one of the people I used this power on. Mine manifest into a weapon, but it's also possible that a heart grants powers without a physical form. One time I took a heart that allowed me to teleport! I'm actually quite curious of everyone's heart, I wish I was able to see them without taking them out or forging empathic links. It's just so interesting. Maybe one day I'll see your heart, if you were okay with that of course. sweatdrop I promise I won't break it though! I take very good care of them. 3nodding

And here I was this close to call you a heart breaker. Then again you are more like a heart thief. So, speaking of it. How many crushes does your power had generated?
