Crispin didn't know the division leaders - hell, he hadn't really seen them before this mission. But he recognized that there was something different about the woman who froze a wave of enemies with one blast of her weapon, then nodded at him. At him.

Peyton skidded on the mess of spiders, dead and alive, as she grabbed for Gnat's arm to pull her away from the giant leg as it came for the other hunter. "Look out!"
She threw an elbow into the leg as it came near them, placing herself between Gnat and what had once been the captain.

BUFF: Rolling a 8. The Moon lead is impressed with your work and takes a second to shout to you about keeping up the good work. The boost in morale does wonders, and so does her shield which protects you from damage, allowing you to at least get a charged attack in there. Normally Leon did not give no ******** about spiders, until they tried to turn him into silk or whatever these spiders wanted to do while dancing round the life intermediate.
Doing their spider dance of spiderdom and blocking the view of madison's well dressed butt. It would not do. "AWAY WITH YOU, SPIN SILK SOMEWHERE ELSE."
somewhere out there, the boxer could feel Allan beaming with some sort of ninja/pirate/soul reaper pride beaming. It was a hideous feeling, one that had his spine shiver in fear.

Thankfully, this boss was anything but human - and using those familiar old MMO terms actually helped soothe any anxiety Crispin had been feeling. With a shout, he charged the beast; a limb caught him low, but he fended it off with only a bit of bruising. A sweep of the glaive, and Shaiming's blade bit into a massive leg. It stuck there as the creature tried to shake him off, but Crispin hung on grimly until at last the wound was too ichor-slick and the blade slipped free.
"H-hey, I did it," he panted.
So you did. The dragon's eagerness was arrow-sharp. Let us do so again.

Making a clear space, Melvin managed to shoot around him enough to get some of the spiders to back off, but with spiders raining down and even more flooding from the exits, he was starting to convince himself that the ship was sailing on a sea of arachnids and that this was hell.
Gasping for breath and feeling light headed, he looked up at what he considered the Queen spider.

Evan could hear Gnat screaming, but he couldn't see her through the swarms of insects and the ghostly waiters and the crowd of other hunters. "Gnat?" He called out, moving in the general direction her voice had come from. "Just hold on, I'm--" he got cut off as he stopped short in front of a Huntress that was blasting the s**t out of some bugs. She nodded at him, and he nodded in return, his sword at the ready to cut down some creatures.
