Okay, here goes.
What I heart about Terachi Shinya-san,

During lives, which are one of the best parts about Dir en Grey, the members that can MOVE are running around a lot. They mess with each other, sometimes they don't play, and hell they even jump into the crowd! Not Shinya, though. I doubt that he would even if he could, but it doesn't matter because he can't. No, Shinya has a much harder job. He has to create a strong stage presence like the others without getting up. Does he do it?
Of course he does! If you watch Shinya during a live, he is so focused! All that image of Shinya as small and fragile is thrown away as you watch him pound on those drums with a ferocity that's hypnotic. It's a wonder he doesn't break them.
And, Shinya does so much more than most other drummers. Most drummers adopt a basic rhythm of 4 beats on the high hat, hit the snare on the third, and the bass drum on the 1st and 3rd. Not Shinya. Shinya creates intrigue and unique rhythms at all stages of the song, not just the chorus. And on a double bass set! That's amazing! I don't think I could even REACH everything on a double bass set, much less play it. But, Shinya-san does it with ease.
In short, Shinya is every bit as talented as every other member of Dir en Grey, and more talented than most drummers. He just has to work a little harder to let his magic shine through from the back of the stage.
Wow. I hope no one overdoses on the Shinya-san heart .

AlaLavei Resh_B hmm....i don't think there's enough meat on his hands to really eat >_>; oh god, and i call myself a Shinya fan. Come join me on the dark side! PS: His hands are most definitely not tasty--like eating a chickenleg with five times as many veins in it. XP
