[Richkit's eyes opened up wide with happiness. He began to jump up and down and said,]
"Really?!?!?! Really?!?!?! That's amazing Mommy! I can't believe it."
[Richkit would've been smiling the biggest smile if he could smile. Richkit's eyes britened up as He bounced around his mother in a circle.]

[Nightpaw trudged past Waterpaw and his problem. She knew how strongly he felt about this. Then she padded past Lavenderrain. The new deputy, nothing made her sad, or angry anymore. Just depressed.] "How can they just move on without her?"

"Sure, at least half of him does. That's good enough, isn't it?"
[Eaglepaw muttered angrily as Leopardpaw spat at him. What was wrong with this clan? Where was the proud and dignified Nightclan that he had known? Was Nightclan so soft now that they take in even those with tainted and mixed blood?]
[He was about to turn away and go for a hunt when he heard Waterpaw's reply. Empty words? Jealous little kit? Right, that half clan clearly needed some serious clearing up. Who was he to tell Eaglepaw what to do, when he himself should not even be born in the first place? His green eyes flaring with anger, Eaglepaw whirled around to face Waterpaw, his voice dripping with contempt for the half clan apprentice.]
"I don't need some half clan apprentice to tell me what to do. Stinking of Seaclan and their fish! Why would I even be jealous of your fishy stench?"
[Eaglepaw hissed in disgust as he glared at Waterpaw, before turning around and starting to pad towards the forest for a hunt, seeing that the fresh-kill pile was getting smaller.]

[silverkit padded out of the nursery and streched] "how time flys!" [she mewed as she scented an unusual cat had been in camp] "I missed quite a bit,I cant wait to be an apprentice, but why is it taking so long?"

   [Fathom purred, nodding.] "Very well, then. Follow me."
[He padded away and jumped atop the leader's rock((what the heck is it called in NightClan? D:< I know in StormClan it's the Fernhill. :c )) ]
He called out, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a Clan meeting!"
Blinking, he said, "As some of you may know, a tragedy hit us at the gathering. Our dear leader, Ravenstar, was struck by a tree which StarClan fell with a lightning bolt. I am unsure as to their reasoning, but it leaves me to lead NightClan. I will travel soon to recieve my lives, but a greater problem came to my attention...the new deputy of NightClan."
Standing straighter, he said, "There is but one cat who is of age that I trust to lead NightClan with a strong will, to hold this clan together during times of turmoil, to be the successing leader after me.
Lavenderrain.
I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our ancestors may hear and approve my choice. Lavenderrain will be the new deputy of NightClan."
[Nodding to her, Fathom blinked kindly, his crimson eyes shining softly with support.]

   ((Herm. . . BreezeClan has a tree, StormClan has a hill, SeaClan has a rock ledge. How 'bout it's on a very very small hill and it's got a big ole rock on it. How's about the Moonrock? Oh oh, because it glows silver when the moon shines on it!))
[Leopardpaw snarled at Eaglepaw, then pointedly turned her back when he stalked out into the forest. She rushed forward and couldn't compress a purr when she heard that Lavenderrain was named deputy! She rushed forward and congratulated her friend. Though she wasn't comfortable having a queen with older kits as deputy, she couldn't see any more warrior more capable of it.]
"Congratulatons, Lavenderrain! I know you'll do great!"
[Leopardpaw stepped back and stepped toward Fathom, her pelt brushing his.]
Slowly, she asked, "Can we train soon? Or go hunting?"
[Leopardpaw was eager to continue her training. It had slumped a bit, but she was quite eager to become a warrior. Moonflower- no, Rain's-words had disturbed her: 'He hates me. Why aren't you a warrior yet? Why isn't Shiningkit an apprentice?' Those words unsettled her more than the nastiest bt of fresh-kill ever could.]

[Fathom blinked and purred amusedly at Leapordoaw.]
"We should probably do both. We'll most likely be running low on prey now...so we should catch all the prey we can."
Pausing, Fathom's eyes grew dark, and he said worriedly, "Do you know where Moonflower is? I haven't seen her since the gatherin. I thought she went off somewhere to sulk, but she hasn't come back...I hope she isn't hurt..."
[He trailed off, staring into Leapordpaw's eyes. Somehting was wrong. He could feel it.]

[Leopardpaw leapt to her paws, her tail twitching eagerly. She jumped forward, eager to get started. She slowed down and shifted her paws uncomfortably when Fathom asked her where Moonflower was.]
"Well, yes, I know where she is. But I don't want to talk about it here, in the middle of camp. Perhaps we can go deeper in the forest, where we can talk alone?"
[Leopardpaw's face tightened with grief, and her eyes searched Fathom's anxiously.]
((Sorry, but I hasta go. Have her. . .follow Fathom around and such. I promise to post tonight or tomorrow explaining where Moonflower is! ><))

(( It's all good. i think I'll just have them go train in the training hollow and sleep out there, under the stars. Like I do most my charas. |D That way, we can say they "trained" and then they come back in the morning, fully rested and rearin to go! : o ))
[Fathom narrowed his eyes. She was hiding something from him, he knew it. But he said nothing about it.]
"Alrighty then. Let's go train, shall we? Off to the training hollow!"
[He padded away cheerfully. Leapordpaw stared after him, slightly startled, then ran to catch up.
They slipped into the hollow. As Leapordpaw entered, Fathom suddeny whipped around and threw himself at her. Surprised, Leapordpaw almost involuntarily jumped out of the way and swiped at Fathom, letting out a startled hiss.]
Jumping back, Fathom praised, "Good. Your reflexes are sharp."
[Leapordpaw blinked at him, slightly proud but still partially bewildered. He pounced at her again, and, dodging, she delivered another blow.
They trained for a while, the stars shining in the sky as daylight faded. This is good, he thought. She needs a little more training. I think she might be ready to become a warrior soon...
His thoughts trailed off as he continued coaching her, the crickets chirping a crisp song around the night.]

 Lavenderrain
[Lavenderrain tilted her chin up in pride, and with just a touch of defiancy.]
My clan.. I will serve you until the last of my breath leaves my body. she thought, her eyes resting on the sky.
[The color was of leaves in leaf-fall, red and glorious.
The whole of the world seemed to be rejoicing in all her glory.
She swished her tail, now suddenly embarassed, Stop acting like a kit, there's no time for that now. Hmm, now let's see what needs to be done. she thought sweeping her lavender gaze around the clearing.
[Everything seemed to be in perfect order.
Her ears twitched, a slight rustle of leaves caught her attention.]
"Nightpaw, whatever could be the matter? she asked worriedly checking the apprentice's condition.
[Her eyes were filled with pain and a slice of anger.
Her tail drooped as well as her head.]
Great Starclan.. How could I have missed this? she thought, ashamed for not noticing Nightpaw's actions and feelings.

 Waterpaw
[Waterpaw flinched wirh surprise.]
How could he have known my origins? he thought swiftly, angrily.
[Waterpaw's normally greenish eyes flashed mostly gray.
He eyes bore a look of the coldest stone as they watched the haughty apprentice whip around and leave.]
"Coward." he hissed with the utmost loathing any cat could feel towards another.
[He too turned and stalked away, waiting a few moments after Eaglepaw left and then leaving too.
He wanted to feel flesh rip beneath his claws.
His eyes narrowed, he looked around for his prey.]
Too slow, I'd like a challenge please. he thought as he watched mice, and squirrels go by.
[Something cawed from high above.]
Ahh, worthy prey. he thought, opening his eyes to get a better glance at a large raven.
[He lithely climbed a tree without a sound.
He reached the branch of a tree directly in front of the raven's roosting place.
Without a moments hesitation he leaped the gap.
Claws sinking into feathers he fought for a clear aim at its neck.
Crow food. he thought as he felt paw make contact with the bird's hollow bones.
It was dead. Waterpaw lashed his tail in triumph.
He made his way slowly down with his catch.]
This'll show that stuck-up apprentice. he thought, whiskers slightly twitching in amusement at what Eaglepaw's reaction might be.
