Nero nodded, and made his way over to the door, cautious of the Bird Pokemon.. "Hey.. Thank you... What's your name..?" he said, trying not to focus on the cuts and bruises... "Mine is Nero." Nero smiled at the girl who'd come to his aid.

Once the Revive had done its magic, Cynthia smiled at the poor, confused Heracross as she opened her eyes. "There we go, that was quite a hit you took," she said, now taking a Super Potion from her bag. "A quick spritz of this and you'll be feeling one-hundred percent." The Champion's voice was gentle and calming as she prepared the medicine and proceeded to spray it on the Heracross' wounds. That wasn't to say she wasn't paying attention to the battle going on between Dante's two Pokemon and the massive Wailord.
The brawl wouldn't last too long though, as Cynthia had finished administering the potion to Hera as Dante made his way over to them. "Yes, we're all okay over here," she said, standing up and brushing her hands off on her pants. "I trust everything went well against the Wailord?" she asked, seemingly amused by the whole situation.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan eyed the Ursaring carefully, though he didn't change his initial plan of sending out Mightyena. It felt good to call upon his first friend and partner, and he couldn't help but grin as Mightyena appeared before him, fur bristled and fangs bared. He growled menacingly as he activated his Intimidate ability, and he couldn't help but feel that undeniable feeling of satisfaction as the big, brown Pokemon took an apprehensive step back. "Ladies first?" Jaeshan offered, upon seeing the hesitant look on Eliza's face.
The look only lasted a moment, however, as she shook herself out of it, and grinned. "Alright, fine, but you're going to regret it," she said smugly. "Ursaring, let's get things started with Bulk Up!" That smug grin of hers never left her face even as the hairy bear Pokemon let out a ground-shaking roar and beat his fists against his broad chest, powering up his attack and defensive skills after having the former lowered by Mightyena's intimidation.
Ursaring could have Intimidate as its ability, Jaeshan thought glancing quickly at his own Pokemon. Mightyena didn't seem bothered in the slightest though, which wasn't at all surprising. Now, it was a matter of determining what move would be the best for Mightyena to open with. There was always Taunt, but it was unlikely that Eliza would use another buffer move right away. Swagger was a good choice too, as it would induce confusion, but it would also cause Ursaring's anger to surge and increase his attack power, which could be dangerous. Jaeshan nodded to himself, knowing just what to lead off with. "Mightyena, use Howl," he said quickly, deciding to give their own attack power a bit of a boost. The canine planted his feet before throwing back his head and letting out a long, eerie howl that seemed to echo for miles. Mightyena felt his own adrenaline start to pick up as his thirst for battle began to settle in. He hadn't battled in a while, and he couldn't wait to sink his teeth into that overgrown teddy bear.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Nero!" she said with another bubbly smile. One could say her happy persona was also contagious. Pausing her introductory greetings she pointed a finger at the now wounded Pidgeotto. "Chase it off with a Swift Ryhme!" Mia commanded, her voice ringing with a slight hint of authority now, a little edge of playfulness now gone. Her father had definitely rubbed off on her. Landing lithely back onto her feet Ryhme spread them apart slight, grounding herself before opening her massive jaws to let loose some star shaped bolts. Hopefully this would finish off the pesky bird.
"Oh!" Mia exclaimed, having remembered that she still needed to introduce herself. "Miyamaru Wake! But you can just call me Mia." She flashed him another one of her mega volt smiles before turning her attention back to the battle. The boy, named Nero, was already battered and hurt and he didn't need to be taking anymore damage from a Pokemon.
(( Do you think I could get a description of Nero's appearance? And don't forget you still have the Pidgeotto to control so don't forget to RP it as well. ^^ ))

The Pidgeotto cried out in pain, as the Swift Attack landed bit by bit.. It attempted a tackle, but faultered, smashing into the dirt below.. It screeched angrily and shot a hideous glance in the direction of Clooney, Nero's Meowth, and then proceeded back toward its homenest... It seemed that it was done for now, but not for good...
Nero registered a bit of recognition at the mention of the girl's family name. "Wake... Wake... where do I know that name..." His green eyes twinkled brightly for a moment. "Wait! Wake, as in Crasher Wake!?" he grinned. Nero was a fan of Televised Gym Battles.. He'd seen many tournaments and knew of atleast 16 different Gym Leaders around the world... It was his dream to meet some of his favorites. He wanted to meet all The Gymleaders, and battle his top 10 favorites. Not to enter the League, but to have the satisfaction of battling some of his heroes.
The young man took off his hat, which was making him hotter and sweatier than he wanted to be at that time.. Sweat and cuts never really mixed... His dark green hair sat just above his shoulders in length.
"So.. You're related to a person like him, huh? What's it like...? The gym I mean.. I've never actually BEEN to Pastoria..." He smiled, hoping that he didn't sound too creepy or Otaku-like. Honestly, though, he pretty much was Otaku when it came to Gym Leaders.
Nero stood up, a bit wobbly, but he rested his weight against the building... He stared down at Clooney... He looked so... fragile...

Since Misty? he thought, his lower lip twitching. So she's either saying I'm good enough to be a Gym Leader, or a push over. To keep myself under control, I'll just assume she's saying I'm good enough. Well, while his trainer was daydreaming about being a Gym Leader, Cable as hard at work attempting to avoid the assault coming from that simian. Though he almost dodged the first strike, the monkey's fist went into his side, then the second slammed into his face, throwing the Electric feline off kilter. He put a hand on his face and growled. That hurt not just his face, but his pride as well.
After running the outcomes through my head, the logical choice would be to go with Brick Break. The double Super Effective damage would deal more than Thunderpunch with the same-type attack bonus. "Alright, Cable! Let it swing with a Brick Break!" Kilik called out. A solid hit would even the field - neither Fake Out or Double Hit were exactly hard hitting attacks. The boy clenched his fist and punched forward. "Go!" With pleasure! Giving himself some distance, Cable's fist began to glow white as he began to run at Luffy with a smirk on his face. "Elleeeee....BUUUU!!" He cried, throwing his right fist straight forward to the monkey's face.
-*-
"Thought you said he was losing!" Maz snapped at Banette, watching the battle from a higher bleacher. "Maybe this is last Pokemon and she's still got a few? Who knows. He'd better lose." Mazarin tapped his foot on the ground and grumbled to himself. Just to see him lose once would make his LIFE complete. He may be my best friend, but I tell ya, he's gone on a win streak long enough. Game Over, buddy.

Burning! A burning sensation welled up within him, like a furnace ready to burst. The boy was on fire both spiritually and physically. The pain and misfortune of the gift of life erupted from him with an all too familiar scream. The boy, his face loosened by a pained expression, rolled over again and again, thrashing and flailing. He flopped and smashed against the ground, fighting to expunge this new flame that burned his very insides. At last, with a feeling not foreign to the boy, it was released. A fluid very new to the boy was presented to the ground beneath him. It sizzled like butter on a pan as it connected to the rocky shale of the volcano. A bit of it dripped from his still gasping mouth onto his hand. He screamed out of impulse, but no new pain prevailed that wasn't already present by the boy's burning body.
"Wh-what's going on?!" Mike asked himself, crawling back in fear of the still bubbling liquid that apparently came from his own mouth. The very idea, along with the fact that he was now alive and apparently all in one piece, would be maddening if the subject was at all sane in the first place. "I've been brought back. Eh-heh! Has fate not had enough fun with me as its plaything? Must I suffer more? Why, when I was on the brink of peace, WHY does it feel that NOW it must deprive me of even that!?" The boy clutched his head in his hands, laughing at the irony of the situation. "What am I supposed to do now?"
Seek you out the man named Blaine from Cinnabar Island. An unfamiliar voice rang in his head.
Mike's heart stopped. You're not one of mine. I know my own. Who are you? Are you someone new? Was it another trick? More of Milo's evil? Get out! You've brought a terrible evil back with me!
You have been given a second chance. the mysterious voice said. A chance to right the wrongs you have done in life. Only then will you conquer the evil within and find peace within yourself. Seek Blaine.
What's happened to my...body? Feels like I'm...burning up.
Since you were already past the veil, I had to use quite a bit of my power to bring you back. Some of it has indeed remained.
R-Remained?
The fire you carry is now no longer just in your heart. With a final message of 'seek out the man from Cinnabar', the voice vanished like smoke caught in the wind. Mike sat there in silence, staring up through the open roof of the volcano. His Pokemon rushed over, nearly tackling the boy back to the ground in joy. Whatever mixed feelings the boy was having inside his head, he was happy to at least be back with his Pokemon.
After the cheerful reunion, Napalm offered the boy the single feather that remained from the bird. Mike studied it. The orange and red coloration and rippling effect of the down made it clear. "Moltres." Mike said to himself. What was he going to do? He had been brought back from death by a legendary Pokemon. By all accounts, he should be leaping in the air and clicking his heels. But if he was back, so was Milo. So was the evil inside him. Should he take the Pokemon's command and find Blaine? And what's all this about 'the fire no longer being within'? There were so many questions.
What are we to do, master? Portabello asked, his voice almost giddy to be able to inquire that again.
"I don't know." Mike replied with a sigh. "The whole reason I s-sealed myself away was so I wouldn't hurt an-nyone else. Sh-should I just abandon that and do as this Pokemon has commanded me?"
Perhaps we can find the answers with this Blaine that it spoke of. Portabello scratched his chin. Do you know of this person?
"Yeah, he's the Gym Leader of Cinnabar Island, one of the st-t-trongest fire Pokemon trainers in Kanto, and the w-orld."
Second only to you master, I'm sure. the Breloom said with a smile.
Mike laughed a crooked laugh. "Yes. Perhaps I will go and meet him. Maybe he can help me make sense of all this. Word says he's a little nutty, so at least I'll have some familiar company. Heehee!" The boy jumped onto his Charizard's back and returned his other Pokemon. "Now according to the maps, Cinnabar island is just due west of Seafoam. So let's get to it!" Nitro beat his wings and began his ascent, but before long Mike had begun kicking his heels and ordering a stop. "Look!" he shouted, pointing downward to the upturned Torkoal in the shale. The Charizard smirked. "Af-fter all that trouble I went to GET him, there's no way I'm going to j-just LEAVE without him." With a cheery cackle, Mike and Nitro swooped down, collected the tortoise and were once again on their way to Cinnibar.

"Well, I am one of the Celadon Modeling Agencies top models, but you flatter me none the less." Sasha had always loved modeling, but star actress? The dreams just kept piling up. "Z'ere is so much to do in so little time!" she cried out in sadness. It quickly washed away when the reporter gave the command to start filming, and Sasha quickly straightened up, pat her cheeks and began to answer the questions.
"Well, z'he Beauchamp family originally hails from Johto, but my faz'her's business is stationed in Celadon so I grew up z'here. My first inspiration to become a Pokemon trainer was from my friend Erika, who was both beautiful in body and skill. I wanted to be just like her, to reach z'he same heights!" The girl continued onto a tearful recollection of her childhood, complete with youthful ideals of freedom and fame. She went on for a good twenty minutes before getting to the next question.
"Other z'han z'he adorable Omelette I have on my shoulder, wiz'h me I have a Lanturn, a Golem, a Cacturne, a Fearow and a Ninetails. I'm not sure what sort of Pokemon I should capture next. Maybe..." This spiraled into another long-winded tale. This one was about the beauties of all the different kinds and species of Pokemon. She went through each one of the seventeen types. At the end she flashed a sweet smile. "Iz z'here anyz'hing more you would like to ask of me, mademoiselle?

Brick Break? Oh that would hurt Luffy! Robin thought as she watched as Luffy who was to close even for his impressive agility to dodge the attack. Still one Brick Break wasn't enough to take down her best friend and Luffy proved that as he pushed himself up from the ground. Besides maybe Kilik didn't know but Luffy's hits were doing more damage then it looked like what with his special ability and all. This next attack though was gunna be way to impressive for that ability to work though. "Luffy I know that attack hurt but now its time to show Kilik and Cable our special move! Luffy let's use Return!" Robin grinned as she watched her all her friends on the battlefield.
In the arena Luffy winced slightly as he got up but shaking himself off he stood his ground and watched the other for a moment. Yeah that hurt a lot, he wasn't gunna lie but like Black*Star he wasn't going to go down so easily. Glancing back at Robin he grinned a bit as she issued his next order for his favorite attack. Focusing inward on himself he easily found the bond that he and Robin shared together glowing with a bright light. Grabbing a hold of that Luffy focused it into his tail fists and charged at the Electabuzz ready to hit him with the power of his and Robin's strong bond.

Crenu looked at Eris curiously, it seemed that his comment may have bothered her a bit. He considered apologizing to the little fire type but figured it wasn't necessary and let Riza console her pokemon. However he was interested in Jaden's statement about Riza's pokemon. "Now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind seeing what her pokemon are capable of either. No telling how much they've grown in the short time I was away. Honestly it seems like it's been far longer than a few days." Crenu got to see a bit just now in the battle with Surge but he was sure there was more her pokemon had to show. "Oh my yes, I'd love to see more of Riza's pokemon in action. Hmm, but I'm more curious to see what else Jaden's packing. That Slowbro looks well raised." Ken said suddenly, putting a hand on Crenu's shoulder. "Heeheehee, say I've got an idea! How about we have ourselves a double battle? That way we can get a good look at each others pokemon right? Oooo this should be fun! Right Shiro? You and me, come one we can take em!" Ken was grinning thinking about the whole thing, it had been a while since he had a double battle. This could be great for them. "...um, no thanks. I'm fine." Crenu moved Kenneth's hand from his shoulder and took a step back. Though he did raise a good point, Jaden's pokemon were sure to be well raised and he was curious about them as well. According to Kenneth and confirmed by Jaden, Jaden had won quite a few badges so he was sure to be a strong opponent. But even if it was a good idea, team battling wasn't really his style and even if it was teaming with Ken just wasn't something that sat well with him. Maybe it was because he was annoying, or maybe it was because he had already lost to him, but it just wasn't something he wanted to do.

Both Rosemary and Levi were eying up Riley like he was a seven-course meal, their expressions determined and practically daring him to send out his Pokemon. Kasiya continued to watch her two Pokemon curiously, wondering what had gotten into them. Neither of them ever really behaved like this before, though thinking about it Kasiya did remember Rosemary gaining a bit of a feisty streak just before she evolved from Chikorita. Does that mean...? No, can't be. Rosemary's still too young to evolve again. But maybe... she thought, looking towards Riley as he finally sent out his Pokemon - an Octillery and... something else with tentacles. Not liking the idea of battling a Pokemon she knew nothing about, she took a few steps back and fished her PokeDex out of her backpack, very sure her Pokemon were about to start attacking any moment now. Cradily, she read quickly. It's a Rock and Grass-type, and it looks tough, we'll have to be careful since Levi's very weak against Grass-type moves... Deciding to keep the device on hand, she straightened up her posture and looked to Riley. "Let's make this a good one," she called out.
"I wouldn't want it any other way," he called back, wearing a wide grin. He wasn't the sort to get cocky, but he had a good feeling about this battle. At first the girl had seemed a little flaky, but he was starting to think that perhaps he'd misjudged her. "Would you like the first attack?"
"Would we ever!" Kasiya replied, her gaze darting between the two Pokemon as she tried to decide which one would be best to bring down first. Probably the Cradily, she thought, her decision made. "Rosemary, Magical Leaf! And Levi, Water Gun! Let's go!" she called, pointing at the ancient Pokemon. Never before had she seen her two Pokemon react so fast to her commands, as Rosemary had taken a few steps forward, quickly whipping the leaf on her head around while Levi reared back and blasted a jet of water, both taking aim at their marked target. Not surprisingly, Cradily didn't make a move to dodge, and both the Magical Leaf and Water Gun made direct hits. "Nice going!" Kasiya cheered.
"It's going to take a lot more than that to bring down Cradily," Riley said quickly, not looking worried in the slightest. "Cradily, Ingrain. Octillery, Lock-on." He crossed his arms over his bare chest and watched as his Pokemon carried out his commands. Octillery narrowed its eyes at Levi, and a few seconds later, a small, circular red mark similar to a target appeared on the Marshtomp's chest, meaning that the next attack Octillery were to use against Levi would not miss. Meanwhile, Cradily had continued to waver on the spot, focusing its energy until about half a dozen glowing, green ethereal roots extended down into the floorboards of the deck, rooting Cradily in place as well as serving as a means to help it recover energy over the course of the battle. Kasiya frowned upon seeing this, knowing that this battle was a long way from being over.
=-=-=-=-= "Okay, Ursaring! Get in there and use Slash!" Eliza called, thrusting her hand in Mightyena's direction. For the most part, she had done the majority of her training in Johto and only recently had come to Kanto, so she was only really familiar with Pokemon from her home region. The Hoenn-native Mightyena was very unknown to her, though she didn't think he looked like too much of a threat. All bark and no bite, I bet, she thought as her Ursaring charged forward, roaring loudly as he swung downwards with his claws.
"Mightyena, dodge!" Jaeshan called out, wary of Ursaring's powerful arms. He knew Mightyena was tough, but he wasn't good at taking big hits. The canine had no arguments about dodging as he hopped back and then rolled to the side, feeling the air rush by him as he narrowly avoided those sharp claws. Ursaring, not deterred by the fact that he had just missed, growled angrily and swung again, much to the canine's dismay. He hardly had time to get to his feet again before those claws were coming at him once more, managing to clip him this time around. Snarling, Mightyena glanced at the claw marks now decorating his shoulder before glaring back at the Ursaring. He would pay for that!
"Get in there and use Bite," Jaeshan called. He hated that Mightyena would have to get in close to attack, but without any ranged attacks, there was nothing else he could do. Mightyena crouched into an offensive position, giving his opponent a once over as he picked a vulnerable spot to attack. When he figured out a place to strike, he dashed forward, anticipating that Eliza would call out for some kind of counter move. This would definitely be the case as the red-haired girl called out for Fury Swipes, and the hulking Pokemon lumbered forward to intercept. Neither Ursaring nor Mightyena were prepared to give an inch.

Riza frowned and shook her head at the prospect of a double battle. "Uh, thanks, but I don't want to," she said simply, recalling all of her Pokemon into their balls except for Eris. It wasn't that she didn't want to battle and show what her Pokemon were capable of, it was more that she knew she'd be holding Jaden back, and as much as she envied him she did look up to him and she didn't want to make him look bad in front of Crenu and a prestigious trainer like Ken.
Jaden wasn't all surprised by Riza's flat out refusal for the double battle, as he knew she was still feeling uneasy and probably had a bit of an inferiority complex about her at the moment. It was to be expected as he had gone through something similar when he was first starting out as well, and he was sure it would pass. 'I bet winning that badge earlier today really helped,' he thought, looking towards Crenu as he hadn't wanted to battle either. Or perhaps it was that he didn't want to pair with Ken, it was hard to tell. The older brother scratched his chin, trying not to stare at the sparkly cape that Ken wore. "Well Riza, if you want we can do a bit of training. That way, you can still show me what your Pokemon can do, and you can see a few of mine, too." By Jaden's side, Slowbro crossed his arms over his chest and grinned. He was always up for a good fight, even if it was training.
"Training?" Riza repeated, looking down at Eris again. The little Cyndaquil looked back up at her, and squeaked cutely. If Riza wanted her to train, she'd do it! She wanted to get better and stronger for her trainer and prove that she could be as good of a Pokemon as Akima and the others. "Well, I guess...." Riza said, shrugging. "You'd better go easy on my Pokemon, though. If they get hurt I'm holding you personally responsible!"
Jaden laughed. "Heh, don't worry, I'll go easy. That's why I suggested training. Besides that, you might surprise yourself." He wore the same good natured smile as ever as he turned towards Ken and Crenu. "That is, if you guys don't mind, of course." * * * * * As though they felt the need to prove Katie's point, suddenly a flock of Zubat swooshed down from the ceiling, shrieking and screeching horribly. Cara cried out and covered her head with her hands, ducking to the ground while Katie moved off to the side, grumbling angrily. She was still too annoyed by the incident last night to be afraid or startled by the Zubat, though this time there were more than three. 'Genki's gonna need backup, since Cara's Pokemon-less,' she thought, taking Noa and Kord's poke balls in her hand. She would have called on Seraphim too, but the Roselia didn't have any moves that were strong against the poison and flying-type Zubat, not to mention that she was at a type disadvantage too. With a quick flick of her wrist she released her Staravia and Elekid, and before Genki and Noa could even think about starting a fight Katie put a stop to it. "Scare off these Zubat! Genki, Thunderpunch! Noa, Wing Attack! Kord, Thundershock! And don't kill each other," she called, adding that last bit as an afterthought.
It was hard to tell just how many Zubat there were in all, but very soon there were fists, feathers and electricity flying, and more shrieking filled the small cavern, making for a very chaotic situation. If Katie didn't know any better she might have thought that her Pokemon were enjoying this, as Genki was bouncing up and down and slamming his Thunderpunch into any Zubat that came within range, while Noa happily clobbered any that entered her personal space. Even Kord was really getting into it, whirrling his arms like a generator as he blasted the bats with his Thundershocks. Soon there were only a few left, and they decided that flight was better than fight at this point and disappeared into the darkness, leaving Katie, Cara and the three Pokemon alone once more, the silence surrounding them almost louder than all the screeching had been.

Crenu shook his head, he had no protest to the two of them training at all. It would be a good chance for him to see some of Jaden's pokemon, and more importantly it would give him a chance to do some training of his own. "Take all the time you need. My pokemon need a work out as well." As he said this, Crenu tapped his first pokeball lightly and it released a bright white light, taking the form of Pupitar who was more than thankful to be getting a chance to improve some more. Crenu said nothing more but simply placed his hands in his pockets, motioning to Pupitar with his head as he started walking a few feet away from the siblings. Not to far though, he still wanted to be able to see them train, but far enough so that they all had space to practice a bit. "It's been a while but you're time has come in the rotation Pupitar. I hope you haven't gotten rusty. We'll be working with Froslass today. She's recently evolved and has little battle experience period. I don't expect you to go easy though." Crenu tapped Froslass's pokeball and let her back out as well, though she wasn't as battle ready as Pupitar was. Froslass was indeed feeling more confident now that she had evolved but she was still a little timid about the whole thing. Pupitar didn't even give her a second glance, he wasn't even sure why his trainer continued to put up with this weakness, but orders were orders. Ken was frowning, he really was looking forward to a nice double battle with Crenu and the two Hardings. But alas, they did not seem up for the idea so there was nothing to be done. So instead Kenneth decided to amuse himself by helping out Crenu. "Oh Shiroo~~! You don't mean to train by yourself do you? No no that isn't efficient at all! Let your good friend Kenneth Breeman help out ok? Come on, we can battle just us two, still have a double battle ok? I'll use of one my pokemon for Pupitar to focus on and Froslass can have at it with Fearow. I'm sure the poor dear is tired of practicing Fly over and over." He said pointing to the golden feathered bird that was indeed still in the air diving and ascending as Crenu had told him to do. "Come on please! besides, it'll be good practice since the contests here in Kanto are known for doing double appeals sometimes. Coordinating one pokemon can be tough, but to do so with two pokemon is something you really need to train for." Crenu eyes Kenneth reluctantly for a moment, but then nodded. If there really were double appeals and such then he would indeed need to practice the double format a bit more. Bringing his fingers to his mouth Crenu whistled very loudly, catching Fearow's attention instantly. The Beak Pokemon was in the middle of a dive and almost his a tree, but with one flap of his powerful wings he was able to stabilize himself in the air and stop before the collision, flying over to Crenu and landing about a foot away. There was some irregular breathing coming from Fearow, but he was still pretty much good for more training. It has been said that Fearow can fly for days at a time without stopping to rest, truly an impressive and powerful pokemon shiny or otherwise. "That was good Fearow. But for now you'll be partnering up with one of Kenneth's pokemon. We're going to have a battle, two on two. This may be new to you, I don't know what kind of battling you did in the wild, but synchronizing with your partner and watching both opponents is key. You'll be expected to watch both opponents, all of you." he said looking from Fearow to Froslass and Pupitar before focusing back on Fearow and continuing. "But your main target in this drill will be Froslass. Now then, get into position. Kenneth, we await your pokemon choice and will begin immediately." Fearow nodded to this and floated lightly over to Ken who had taken up his place opposite of Crenu.

Oh, marvelous freedom! Having managed to 'escape' the confines of not only his Pokeball but that closed-in room as well, Pan was very much enjoying this whole not-being-cooped-up thing, and the Treecko planned to continue enjoying it as he crept along the wall. The gecko stopped only upon reaching a staircase, and he remained in place on the ceiling for a moment or so, pondering his next move as well as what would happen if he were to drop down onto the head of some unsuspecting passerby. It seemed that there were many humans here, wherever here was, and Pan decided finally that he would continue exploring, fully confident that he would be able to find his way back to his trainer should the need (or want, really) arise. It wasn't until the gecko made his way onto the main deck that he realized he was on some sort of strange floating thingy, surrounded by water, and that his home was nowhere in sight. The Treecko eyed the ocean disgustedly - what happened to all the trees? Where was the strange red-haired trainer taking him? His former trainer often took him for walks out in the forest and let him climb trees and explore, but Pan had a sudden feeling that things would be very different from now on.
Oh well, he'd get over it eventually. The Treecko looked around again, his previous plight pretty much already forgotten entirely as he spotted the dozens upon dozens of humans on board this ship. Just where was this party boat headed? Pan heard the word 'Sinnoh' being tossed around a few times but it didn't really mean anything to him, so he continued to explore, wondering if there was anything exciting to do on this ship. There were quite a few Pokemon out and around, but none of them seemed to be particularly interesting. The odd battle was going on here and there as well, but again the gecko could care less. That is, until he spotted the pretty girl his trainer had been talking to earlier - it seemed she was currently occupied by a battle of her own. Pan remembered the way the two of them had been looking at each other, and suddenly he understood. This girl must be his trainer's mate! But why weren't they together right now? Pan frowned, wondering if perhaps they had gotten separated from each other, and that was why the redhead was up in that room, all alone. It was a definite possibility, as there were so many humans around that it would be easy to lose track of one.
Alright, he'd made up his mind! Pan would go back up to where Keegan was and tell him where his mate was, and then maybe Keegan could find her, and then he wouldn't be so mopey and miserable anymore. Looking around, the Treecko attempted to gain his bearings and figure out which way to go, but then something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. Some of the humans were gathered around a strange box-like object, and after a moment or so Pan realized it was a TV. He'd spent many hours watching TV alongside his previous master, so he was no stranger to it and its hypnotic powers. It seemed that it was currently showing a battle, and judging by the commentary it was a replay of a battle that had just taken place downstairs in the arena. Normally he wouldn't have bothered to take a second glance, but the Pokemon competing had caught his eye. One was a strange-looking blue thing with a really big mouth, and the other was a Treecko, like him! She moved swiftly across the battlefield, delivering a well-executed Pound attack to the little blue gator thing, and what a Pound it was! Pan's eyes were wide as saucers as he watched the female Treecko in action - he just had to meet her! ===== Karate Chop? No, I don't think so, Miharu thought, looking quickly to Tingle who for once, seemed to be paying attention. The Metang's arms were raised up in an offensive position, and it had its eyes fixated on the Machoke as it rushed towards him. "Tingle, use Confusion," she called out, silently hoping that it would be enough to bring down the Superpower Pokemon. Aska had managed to dish out a lot of damage to it before falling to that Ice Punch, now it was up to Tingle to finish the job.
Tingle's eyes began to glow as it raised a hand and pointed at the Machoke, a silvery blue aura extending from the Metang's body and reaching out until it engulfed the fighting type completely, waiting for the best possible moment to unleash the mental attack. Good, good, Miharu thought, still watching closely.
Machoke's eyes went wide as the psychic energy encompassed his entire body, stopping him in his tracks. He let out a roar of pain as the assault on his mind began, and he cradled his head in his hands, trying his hardest to fight off the mental attack. It would be of little use as the Pidgeotto had worn him down quite a bit, and now he just didn't have the energy left to fight back. The Superpower Pokemon's eyes fluttered shut before it fell heavily to the ground, no longer able to continue the fight.
"Machoke, no!" Chuck cried out, more tears streaking down the sides of his face. It was obvious that he was being over the top, but he didn't care. "You fought well, my friend," he sniveled as he recalled his fallen Pokemon, the tears all but vanishing as he looked towards Miharu again. "Not bad," he said, already preparing to send out his next Pokemon. "But, can you handle this one? Primeape, you're up!"
The Pig Monkey Pokemon practically exploded from his Pokeball, screeching angrily as he slammed his powerful fists into the ground. He glared over at the Metang, hovering quietly in the air, hardly able to sit still as he awaited his first command. "Let's see how they like this! Primeape, Swagger!" The ape bashed his fists together and snorted at Tingle, following it up with a suggestive gesture that was sure to enrage even the calmest of Pokemon. Primeape then danced about on the spot, daring the Metang to try and attack.

"Heh, that guy doesn't waste even a second, does he?" Jaden chuckled, looking over as Crenu released a Pokemon that Jaden had only seen in his Pokedex, a Froslass. He raised an eyebrow at the sight of her, and nodded approvingly. It was one of the Sinnoh Pokemon he remembered the most, and if he knew his sister, then he knew she'd want to get a Froslass of her own some day. After all, he'd been the one to call Riza and tell her to get her own Pokedex updated once he found out about it. 'I wonder how Crenu got himself a Froslass,' he thought, recalling his Slowbro for the time being as the group separated a bit. "Ken's right, Riza," he called out to his sister. "Handling one Pokemon may seem tricky, but two at a time is much trickier."
Riza narrowed her eyes at her older brother. "Don't talk to me like I don't know anything," she snapped, turning her back on him for a second. 'He always treats me like such a little kid...' She looked down at Eris, who was looking at her happily. The expression on the Cyndaquil's face softened the hard look on Riza's face and she sighed. "Yeah, you're right, Eris. We'll show them!" She turned around and set Eris on the ground, and took a few steps back as she took another pokeball from her belt. She knew that Diemia was always up for a good battle, even if it was just training. The Corphish made a reappearance in a flash of light, clacking her claws in annoyance. There had better be something to fight this time! After a quick glance around she spotted Eris nearby, and the tall black haired boy from earlier as well. Maybe it really was battle time after all.
Jaden nodded when Riza's Corphish materialized alongside her Cyndaquil, knowing that she was now waiting for him to send out his Pokemon. After a moment of thought he picked two pokeballs and opened them, revealing two Pokemon that Riza had no idea her brother had even owned. One of them was a good-sized beetle Pokemon with a large horn protruding from his head, a Heracross, and the other was much smaller. It had a bushy mane and tail, and its fur was a fiery orange colour, a Flareon. He barked sharply and looked towards his two opponents curiously before looking up at Jaden. "This is a training match, so remember to tone it down," the trainer warned. Both Pokemon nodded slightly, though the Flareon did let out an unimpressed growl. "Go ahead, Riza, you make the first move," Jaden called out.
Riza couldn't help but stare in awe at Jaden's two Pokemon, and she almost missed him giving her the first move. She'd known about his Pidgeot and his Slowbro, as he had told her that initially he wanted to evolve it into Slowking but it went and evolved before he could use the Kings Rock, but she had never seen his Flareon and Heracross before. 'I wonder what else Jaden has,' she thought before looking to her own Pokemon. "Okay Diemia, Bubblebeam on Flareon! And Eris, use Smokescreen! Let's show them what we can do!" * * * * * "Okay that was effective," Cara said once all the Zubat had gone. "When we get out of here and I get my Shinx back, remind me to go and start catching myself some new Pokemon."
"Dually noted," Katie said as her three Pokemon took positions beside her. They all looked like they were ready for some more action, and somehow Katie didn't think they were free from encounters as of yet. "Let's keep moving. I just hope your Shinx had the good sense to stop moving once it realized how lost it got," she added, knowing that they could end up wandering around in here for hours. She began to lead the way, Genki Noa and Kord all following close behind her. 'I wonder what on earth made that little Pokémon want to come in here all by itself,' Katie thought to herself as they walked. After some time they made it to what looked like a staircase of sorts. It was a bit worn looking but stable enough, and Genki went down first, his tail flame a beacon in the darkness. Katie recalled Noa, at least temporarily, and Kord scooted up onto her shoulder as she went down the stairs next with Cara bringing up the rear.
As they descended further into the cavern they small group was able to hear the sound of water. They turned a corner, and both girls looked on in awe as they had come across what looked like an underground lake. They continued on a little further, making their way to the shoreline of the lake before they stopped and looked around. The water smelled clean and fresh, and when Katie leaned down and dipped her fingers in it, she found that it was very cold. "Okay, I didn't now this was here," she said, standing up and looking around.

Rhyme pumped her fist, ecstatic that she had beaten off the bird thing without receiving a single scratch. She definitely had her father's skill, after all her father was Crasher Wake's pride and joy. Well his Pokemon pride and joy anyways, we all know that it was Mia that was his true pride and joy. Following Nero's eyes, she spied the nearly fainted Meowth. "Hey Ryhme, ca you get a Chansey to come help Nero's Pokemon?" The Floatzel grunted before meandering though the door of the Pokemon Center.
"Yep! He's my dad!" Mia said with a laugh. "My outfit didn't give it away?" she inquired laughing, twirling around. Her outfit was in fact quite similar to her father's. They had the same color and pattern scheme, even the same head pieces, though hers were hair pins. It was quite a resemblance, then again it should be, her father had insisted that they. father and daughter, matched. Her mother had sewed the outfit herself and the hairpins were a birthday gift from Crasher Wake himself.
"It's fun I suppose. You get to watch a lot of battles and see a lot of different Pokemon from all over the world. And Pastoria is really rainy and wet. And muddy!" she laughed. Mia moved closer to the boy, gently lifted his hand and placed it over her shoulder. He was so battered that it looked like he could barely walk. "Let's get you inside," she said moving slowly towards the door.
Two Chanseys busted through the doors carrying a little stretcher. They carefully loaded the Meowth onto the white cloth and marched right back inside. When the two humans entered the cold air of the Pokemon Center brushed up against their skin. "Oh my!" Nurse Joy cried. "We need to get you cleaned up!" She pulled the green haired boy away pushing him into the bathroom nearby, handing him quite a lot of bandages and other medical supplies he could possible need to get cleaned up. "And don't worry! We'll have your Meowth all healed up soon enough!" And with that she left him to his business.
Mia flopped down on the seat after having acquired two cans of orange soda from a vending machine. She tossed her Floatzel one and in unison they cracked open the can and took a hearty gulp. There was nothing in the world like orange soda. "I hope he's okay," she said more to herself than anyone else.

Finding himself inside a bathroom, with bandages, gauze, bloodclotting solutions, and other such materials in his arms, Nero was just a little more than dazed at the moment... He sat down on the john, trying to think over what had just happened... It all went down so quickly... This morning, he'd started the day with a newly acquired Pokémon, Clooney the Meowth. He, with the help of his Father, had been flown to Sinnoh Region. Nero started off on Route 201, attempting to raise his Meowth's skills, and to make it to the next town, ready to pick up a few Pokéballs, and move on up to the next challenge... Instead, he found a wiley Pidgeotto with a grudge against his Meowth.. After running through the forests for what seemed like half a day, Nero finally arrived in this new town, battered, battled, scarred and bruised. His Pokémon he feared was dying... It was a good thing he'd run into Mia when he did. He was very thankful for the help she offered.
".....Ugh.." he grunted, as he removed his shirt and began to bandage some of the cuts, applying ointment and cremes around his wounds... As the bandages were secured in place, he put his black tee-shirt, carrying his hoodie in his arms, and stepped outside the bathroom. 'I'll have to remember to thank Mia for this.' he thought to himself, trying to smile, as the thought of Clooney's condition crossed his mind...
As he saw the girl and her Pokémon on one side of the room, with some sodacans in hand, he walked over to them and bowed deeply. "Thank you so much... For your help. I don't know what would've happened if you two didn't step in and help... I owe you my life, and the life of Clooney, too..." he said, and offered a small, yet copious amount of cash in thanks and tribute. "Please, take this."
