"Uh... okay?" Xavier was a little confused. Why was it that girls always left in large groups of themselves, shooing away the guys and then laughing like seagulls? What on earth were they hiding from them? It sort of felt like an age-old mystery, like the possibility that cooties existed among members of the opposite sex.
It probably would never be solved.
Why was he thinking about it?
Change your thoughts, clear your mind, change, clear, change, clear.
Both were hard to avoid and also hard to deal with, in some cases.
Also, he couldn't help but be a little intimidated. After kissing Summer in such a... passionate... way he wondered how Chris would feel. Since he too was a big brother, he would have felt protective and fierce, and putting what was a natural feeling into another person's shoes... he didn't want to think about it.
"So." He said casually. "Big spider?"

Nanina heared a truck pull in and glanced out the window, Shannon's back. She said offhandedly, looking back at summer. So, ah. . . you and Xavior, eh? A look of interest enter her eyes and Nanina hopped up on the counter.

"Yeah it was a big spider so what did you and Summer do after I and Nanina left?" he asked causally.
Summer blushed then answered her saying, "Yes I think Xavior and I are together I hope that doesn't upset you." She then looked over at Xaiver and smiled at him. "I really do like him you know he's just the sweetest person plus he's fun to be around."

Nanina drummed her fingers on the countertop, staring down at her boots. No. Doesn't upset me at all. She told her, forcing a smile when she looked back at Summer. Humor swam in her dark eyes, and something else that she couldn't quiet put a name too.

Summer smiled but was wary of her. She really like Nanina and didn't want a guy to get in between the friendship she hoped was building. "You sure?" she asked again.

"... Oh, we went swimming, and then rode around. Raced, actually, to the barn. Heh eh." Xavier was still feeling a little wary. He hoped with all of his might that the feeling would go away.
Evantually, hopefully.
He smiled back at Summer when she looked over at him. He was still wondering in the back of his mind what they were talking about.

"Sounds fun you guys didn't do anything else?" Chris asked. "She looked pretty flushed when she came through the door like she was kissing you or something." he said smiling slightly. "Just so you know if you were then it's cool as long as you don't hurt her in anyway then your alright in my book, but if you do hurt her then you'll have yourself one hell of an enemy." He said this his tone light.

Xavier hesitated for a moment. What were the consequences, and were they less than the benefits, or the other way around? The weighting took only a second or two. Unfortunately, this fast decision making would catch up to him one day, but not right now.
"Yes," He said. "Thanks for understanding." He remembered how both of them had said they were older brothers, and nature gave them a protective instinct over their siblings - mainly sisters.

"No problem, I'm sure you can understand were I'm coming from you would probably have done the same thing if I were dating your sister," he said laughing, "So anyway wonder what those two are talking about," he said nodded over that Summer and Nanina.

"Thanks again," Xavier said, smiling. It was like taking a giant weight off of his shoulders - yes, tension actually made it feel like you're carrying a giant brick of led or something wierd like that. "And good question."

Nanina walked back over to Summer and refrianed from frowning. She liked Chris, but she wasn't sure how she liked him. Unhuhh. . . She murmured. Looking around the kitchen, her gaze landed on the males and she wondered breifly what they where talking about.

"Wait don't tell me he's already tried to kiss you?" Summer said/asked when Nanina murmured something that she couldn't understand in the least little bit. She then followed her gaze and saw that Nanina was looking at the guys. "Wonder what there talking about," she said.
