I stalked some people I knew from high school on myspace, once. It was kinda hilarious to see what ******** a good bit of them turned out to be. Well, obviously it's the ******** that tend to use myspace. "Let's see how many glitter pictures I can fit onto this page before it crashes everybody's browsers - whee!"
Stalked an ex, too. It amused me to read him wangsting about not having a girlfriend and never getting laid. Um... gee. You're the one who broke up with me juuuuuuuuuust before it got to that point, so have fun with your hand. biggrin

i myspace-stalked a few people from high school (on someone else's account... didn't have one of those, either) a few years ago, but nothing was interesting enough to warrant further study. There wasn't too much glitterbombing horror, thank god, but it confirmed my decision not to bother - if I didn't find these people interesting, they'd no doubt be equally as bored by me.

I made an account because one of the few people I liked in high school was killed in Iraq and they set up a special MySpace page to leave condolences. Otherwise... never would have bothered. And after receiving creepy near-***** friend requests shortly after registering... I had my account deleted.
*flails* Oh my gosh, I'm so happy! I got a new laptop! It's got a built-in webcam and a touchscreen and Windows 7 and and.... twice the RAM of my old one. I'm backing up the original system settings right now. Ooooooh... and the speakers don't sound like a**, so I don't have to wear headphones 24/7.

Fuuuuuuuuuck. I forgot and bought DVD-R's instead of RW's. And the backup keeps failing on the same file and it just stops and won't let me bypass. Pops my DVD out and I can't use it again.
If ******** Staples had a better selection... I grabbed what I did because it was the only 10 pack. And they probably close in 20 minutes. I want to use the new computer NOW, but it didn't come with any back-up CD's so I really need to do this first. Why the ******** won't it just let me use my external HD? It says I can use USB flash drives, but I have an entire gazillion GB HD that is mostly empty and that doesn't count? WTF?

kerminatrix So: small towns. They're not a sentence. They're a starting point, and people can choose to make that their life, do the whole "you are not like my worldview's dictates, and I know all your business and will make your life s**t" thing, OR they can be more than that. *highfive* Agreed. =) *is also from a really small town*

Lady Pyre "Let's see how many glitter pictures I can fit onto this page before it crashes everybody's browsers - whee!" It's true. PASTAAAAAA! You were in my DREAM! You and your boyfriend! It was weird! XDD Apparently, I left my new hat on the stove and you two accidentally burned part of the top? But you said it was fine as long as I didn't push too hard on the top? But I was like...you need to pay me $15 or at least $7 to replace it and you guys were all upset or something because you weren't the ones that put the hat on the stove. XD It was reeeally funny! Anyway, that was weird.

Anyway, that was weird. Awwwh, I would never burn your hat! =( And Jonathan probably would've given you the money for a new hat anyway, haha...he's like that. That's really funny. =) I used to dream about people from Gaia once in a while, back when it was a much bigger part of my life. Now my dreams are mostly about people from work, my close friends, and Jonathan.
I had one dream about Gaia that started off as me getting an invite to an event that Gaia was having - this huge Cinderella-themed ball. And then everyone turned into their avatars and we were all actually living in Towns and going to this ball for Halloween. I think the whole UFG was there, but the only ones I remember specifically were Rayinte, Wolffy, and Pyre. ...that was a really cool dream, actually.

I seriously laughed at the influx of v-neck shirts to Gaia's shops lately. Especially the "lazy day" description. They really are wonderful to just throw on when I'm half awake. I have one in every color of the rainbow, and that's all I've been wearing lately.
Godamn... I hate how short the space bar key is on this thing. I keep hitting the Alt button and screwing things up. Oh, and why is the alt button where it shouldn't be? To make room for some fancy smancy windows shortcut I'll NEVER use. I wish they'd stop trying to "improve" keyboard layouts. It just aggravates me whenever I have to switch and get used to another one.

I like the windows-button.
If you're on Vista or 7: hit windows button+tab for fancy stuff.

My new favorite shortcut is Windows keys + M for minimizing all windows. Yay! <3
I wonder why some Mac laptops have such a short keyboard. It has tons of space on the surface and a little box for the keyboard. It's weird.

I've been contemplating Windows 7 for the new system I've been building. So far it sounds like it would be worth it, though I'm less interested in 'industry analyst' and tech geek type reviews and more interested in reviews from people like me.
Though I'm not actually sure what that even means anymore.

Aldo - Hm. The same thing Alt+Tab has always done. Yippee. neutral
Xani - I think it's nice. I love the new taskbar. It's both more attractive and more useful. And it comes with tons of games, now. I love Mahjong! I used to have a separate program installed for it, but not anymore. whee
The only thing that bugs me is the file folders. You have to right click -> open folder, now. Which gets bloody tedious when you're as fond of subfolders as I am. gonk

Maybe you can change it in your settings? Wolfy: I love your quote. XD I DO TOO.

Speaking of computer stuff.
My dumb a** just realized after TWO YEARS the reason my tablet's pressure sensitivity hasn't been working is because I never installed the drivers.
