It wasn't really hunger per se; some friends were like "HEY CAKE COME WITH US TO THE GROCERY STORE" so I went.
And while I was there, I picked up macaroni ingredients, which is helping facilitate the not-leaving-the-building bit. :P
Also, something about which I am excited: I have a ring of which I'm very, very fond, but it's sustained some damage over the years - most notably, the stone has a pretty big chip out of it.
Just today, I found someone on eBay who sells rings in the same style (although not the stone colour that I currently have).
It made me all giddy on the inside because I was starting to think I'd never find another one quite like it, although since it's a relatively inexpensive sterling silver piece the odds of that are fairly low.

Tech support guy was stupid. Told me you can't use a switch to help have DSL and wireless routers hooked up. Told me the problem was my linksys that I didn't get from their company. Said they'd have to re-config the Verizon modem they sent, but first to send back linksys and in a round-about-way to get theirs instead. Tech guy failed. Switch works, wireless works, DSL works. Dad configured the linksys and the switch suggestion Alex gave worked. Alex wins.

My sister sent me a text that said "Guess who's going to be an older sister"
She finally told me that she's pregnant herself instead of just hearing it from my mom.

I wasnt allowed to date until i was 16 as well, but they let me go my first date when i was 15 XD only had one bf during high school and it was only for 3 months.
Yes, men are evil XD Matt's newest saying now is that he married me so that i could go grocery shopping (we shop at the commissary and only people with military ID can go in and purchase stuff).
Vin: cool!! two of Matt's brothers are expecting kids XD His stepbrother is expecting his 2nd child in June and his older brother is expecting his second child in July..... im just waiting for my folks to start bugging me about kids XD they want grandkids sooooooo badly
*hugs Lupess* i know it doesnt seem like it now, but things WILL get better. you are young and still have a lot of life yet to meet your special person 3nodding

Lupess - at least things can only get better from here, right? ...maybe
Anyway, I suggest distractions. Lots and lots of distractions.
The "kids" string - I'm pretty sure my parents have no hope of grandkids until Zack and Emily are out of college... poor guys.
Unrelated: I kinda want to play at least one of the more recent Silent Hill games, but the television is tiny and my roommate's, my PS2 has no controllers other than a dance pad anyway, and I don't know how well this computer would run them (and I've heard there are glitches and whatnot @_@)

As far as grandkids go Hubby and I are the only ones (on both sides) with any children. So our girlies are a bit spoiled. Though I'm no longer the only one married. My sister went to Vegas this past weekend and um... married, or would that be remarried, her ex-husband. She's not ready to have children yet, but he wants 'em.
Mom did however give me a bad time about this being her third grand baby when he sister will soon have her fourth grandbaby.
I of course reminded Mom that I am the only one working on giving her grandchildren while my aunt has 3 of her children working on it. 4laugh
*hugs Lupess* I read your journal and that reminds me of this guy that I had a crush on for the longest time and he never seemed willing to give me a chance. I think that was what hurt me more than that he didn't seem to return my feelings. I did get to know him a little more years later and I realized at that point I was glad that I didn't end up with him. He wasn't what/who I thought he was. But at the time it hurt bad enough to make me cry.
Vin: Congrats on being an aunt again. heart
In other news, Mom went in for gallbladder surgery today.
I still haven't gotten a call letting me know how things went so I'm guessing she's still in surgery.

this reminds me of a guy i had a crush on while in high school.. his name was Scott and we were actually friends in 8th Grade for a while (we were both new in town and were seated next to each other and we kind of clicked). We would talk all the time and got along, but we were just friends and at that point, i had no feelings for him. Well, the other girls in the class were jealous, because he was a hot new kid and he was only talking to me. So they started telling him that i had a crush on him and even asked asked him out FOR me... it just made the whole thing weird for both of us and that kind of drove us apart.
A year later my family and i moved to a different house in the same city which was on the same block as him and a few other people from school, so we would hang out in the evenings and walk to and from school as a group. By this time, i WAS developing a crush on him.
in the middle of the school year was the Reverse Dance where the girls ask the guy. One day it was just him and i walking home from school and so i asked him. he got all flustered then said no and started walking a different way home. I kind of gave up on his from then, though i had a crush on him for about 3 more years after that....
senior of high school, we wrote in eachothers year books.. he wrote "i wish we would have gone to that dance together.. i think we would have had lots of fun."
rolleyes boys..

I just got the call. Mom's out of surgery, but not awake yet.
I guess they're going to keep her overnight. Something about her bleeding more than she should.
