My nan is absolutely terrible. TERRIBLE. Over here, the taboo isn't black people at all; it's pakistani people, mainly because I live in such an ethnically diverse area. They're actually known as asians, which really confuses me when I hear people referring to others from the east as asian >.>
Anywho.
Where my nan was born, there was this church she was baptized in, and she heard it was going to be knocked down. Her reponse was - and I kid you not - "It will probably be turned into a shop for Pakis selling carpets".
Unbelievable.

That's what you get when you live in an area that so diverse. I've grown up with it my whole life; because I have tanned skin, I've had the same abuse from strangers.
