Obsidian tilted then shook her head and smiled at the group of them. She looked down at Roma, "You're funny." She informed him.

Cedar finished his cookie, "Mahee?" He asked his mouth full.
"Don't speak with your mouth full." Magnolia and her mother said at the same time.
Cedar swallowed, "Is that your boyfriend?" He asked.
Magnolia turned to blink at him then laughed, "He's more my special friend, it's been awhile since he's been a boy."
Cedar's green gaze didn't waver from the elvan patriarch, "He's gonna be my uncle?" He asked.
Magnolia flushed, "Maybe. When he's ready, he'll ask." She replied.
Cedar grabbed another cookie and left, not saying anything and keeping his gaze on Dorien until he'd left the room.
It's kind of hard to tell if he likes you or not. She said silently with slight dismay, the boy was a bit odd.

Special friend...? Dorien repeated, looking at her strangely, I've never been a boy... he eyed the mini-elf just as Cedar did before looking away.
I don't want him to like me. I want him to fear me.... he said that part to himself, but it was clear on his face if you read it right.

Magnolia smiled, shaking her head. Peering out the window she could see the sun was starting to set, "Do you want help with dinner, mother?" She asked.
"That would be wonderful. I was thinking of ham in the larder." She started moving about the kitchen. She put the cookies out of the way and started bustling about the kitchen. She stopped short just before shooing Dorien out of the way. She looked at Magnolia.
Mother and I needs free reign of the kitchen, love. We gotta kick you out. Maybe you can work on making Cedar fear you? She suggested sunnily.

Dorien had the oddest feeling that he was being teased, but said nothing about it as he moved towards the door, I think my time would be better spent on other things...like finding out what is going on in Signet. he answered before leaving.

Aron walked over to Roma and grabbed his arm to help him up, then walked him over to a chair and spoke quietly to him, "Big Brother, I think you should slow down a bit, before you get yourself hurt, and stay sitting down, in case you pass out again."
Roma smiled as Aron walked away and looked over to Copper and said, "Can I buy you a drink anyway miss? I..."
Roma lost his train of thought and stared blankly at Copper.
Karrot looked over at Rike and said "I know what electricity is, I remember a friend of ours back in the desert used it from within his body, but what I don't understand is how I would cook with lightning..."
(In case I wasn't completely clear in this, Karrot is the only dwarf, the Brothers are human)

Karrot thought for a moment before saying
"A 'lightbulb?' Is it a type of plant that generates energy? I suppose it would be bad to try and make a salad out of it if it does so..."
Aron came back over to sit behind Karrot

Copper was filling a tall glass with a dark color lauger and slid it down the bar to a customer, "That's sweet, darling." She reached forward and patted his cheek good naturedly, "But not here and not yet, I'm still working." She moved away again a customer hollered for a refill.
Magnolia waved, Alright. I'll see you later, then.

Rike blinked before laughing lightly, "Oh yeah...I'll have to go back and forth with helping Kaiser get a girl too. Hmm...I have a full plate it seems. And as for the lightbulb....look up at the ceiling and you'll see what I'm talking about."

Karrot looked up at the bright light on the ceiling and squinted.
"I suppose you are to tell me that these orbs are not the result of magic?"
Aron looked over to Rike and Roma stepped over and flomped into a chair next to him.
"Your Daughter is getting married? congratulations, on both having a child and the wedding, might you have any need of a band, the three of us are quite good. And I suppose Karrot would enjoy if he could assist your chef."
Karrot added, "If you like, I still have a fresh Giant Boar... if I start cooking it now it would be perfect tomorrow, and though I still don't understand your concept of electricity to cook, I suppose if there is a way to cook an animal this large at a constant temperature of 200 degrees without needing any supervision(which I doubt) then show me this modern marvel and I'll get started right away."
