Doesn't help that my last boyfriend was an anarchist, either. He took me along to an anarchist gig, and the walls were littered with leaflets on child labour and why you should be a vegan.
Not that I'm at all biased, but from what I've experienced, things like that are a lot more generally known here than over with you guys. Nine out of ten people know stuff like this >.>

Anyway, I'm not done discussing yet.
In England, literally all we know is world news. I personally think it's because nothing interesting enough ever happens here to make a fuss about, so we're constantly told what everyone else is doing.
Which is why, last Christmas, when it snowed for a week, it was in the national newspapers and television broadcasts the entire time.
Apparently, we were all going to die of cold.

Vegans must not have tastebuds. That's my conclusion.
Thing is, I don't understand Vegans - they say it's bad to eat anything from an animal, but IT ISN'T as long as you source it properly. I mean, yeah, if you eat battery farmed eggs from hens that have never seen daylight, if you drink milk from cows that are pumped full of steriods and kept in tiny pens, but if you buy organic, free-range produce, what the hell is the harm? If anything, it's helping save those animals from being a part of the mass-produced industry.
